We’re getting into the wine coolers and she can’t help but let out a yell, cause we just brought in 6 new people into our business. We can do this even away from home. We have a total of nineteen new people that want a piece of this amazing, home based business this month alone, and the software is making us good money as well.

We have been doing this for almost a full 2 years, and have learned a skill that is going to keep us in a 6 figure income as long as we motivate and keep it going. But without the right people we would be know where, and like anyone else we had our doubts. Email marketing can be an extremely effective means of marketing your products and services. It is used by large and small companies, by non-profits, and every type of organization imaginable. It is so widely used because it works.

If you don’t yet have the tools to manage an email marketing system, you have two major categories of services and products from which to choose. A “hosted” service means the program and your email database are stored on a third-party’s server.

Environmental considerations

When planning a data centre, there are a number of physical and architectural design features which must be implemented to ensure reliability:

Adequate Air Supply: temperature must be maintained between 20 and 25 ?C and humidity between 40 and 60 %. Too much humidity can cause water to condense on internal components. However if the air is too dry, this can cause static electricity to discharge. Malfunction is likely if the above ranges are not maintained. This is one of the prime causes of data centre malfunction. Implementation of adequate air conditioning and correct architectural design to allow for air circulation between units is vital. Particular care needs to be taken to prevent hotspots from occurring.

- Safeguard against power loss: external environmental factors such as hurricane or snowstorm can cause power black outs. It is vital to have a generator to ensure continued function, as well as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for emergency power. These should be of sufficient size to power cooling systems.

-Fire protection systems: the simplest forms of fire protection are smoke detectors, for early detection of a fire. It is also vital to ensure fire containment to prevent the spread of a fire to the entire data centre. For example: Contained sprinkler systems or gaseous fire suppression.

Software, hardware or network failure

Tested and quality assured hardware and software from reputable brands can help increase reliability. Common malfunction in one component, such as an internal fan or storage disc, can quickly lead to failure in another. Ensuring network performance and reliability can also have a huge impact on the performance of the data system.

Operational procedures

It is impossible to completely rule out human error and operational issues. However, devising an operations procedure to not only maximize performance but also track reliability and malfunction is key. Conduct regular back-ups on each production server to ensure quick file repair in the event of damage. Provide adequate operator training to implement protocol and avoid the most basic of errors such as leaving discs in drives, which would prevent an auto-reboot in the event of system failure.

Data security

Particularly important in large data centres with sensitive information, is to ensure adequate physical security. Corporations may consider outsourcing their data centre to an managed hosting services off-site location with 24 hour security guards and video surveillance. System security also requires keeping up-to-date with the latest security and anti-virus software.

Avoid single point of failure

One final key consideration is to avoid having a single point of failure. Test the system before it goes operational and ensure that if one component fails there is sufficient backup to ensure the data centre can still function. Back-up will make sure that your important data is never lost.

Another tip I suggest when working with vendors and you want to save a lot of money is to do a lot of work ahead of time. By doing this you are going to save the vendor time and save them effort. Don’t be afraid to ask them questions like, how you could save money, or what else you can do to cut down their time or effort. Vendors want to help you, they want to do business with you. They also know people have budgets to work within and they will help you figure things out.

Here is another tip – create a template instead of just a project. This way you can use it more than once, without having to pay for the same thing twice. I’ll go into more detail to explain it better.

We will use developing e-Books for example. Instead of getting a graphic designer to design a specific layout for each of your e-Books you generate, it would be a lot easier and cheaper for you to get them to design a template. That way you can use that template for every e-Book you generate after that point instead of paying for it again.

That is a completely different approach, yet it will save you hundreds – if not thousands – of dollars in the long-run. Yet, it’s pretty much the same amount of effort for the graphic designer. So that’s another creative idea on how you can save a lot of money when working with vendors, and also building relationships with vendors.

After the job is completed, you have to check it and often ask for corrections, then check to assure that the corrections have been made. Finally you have to approve the job so the vendor can be paid.

So outsourcing doesn’t necessarily save you time. You’re just spending your time on the outsourcing process instead of on doing the job yourself. Sometimes it’s actually faster, and definitely cheaper to just do it yourself.

Disadvantages of Outsourcing 2: Language Differences Complicate Effective Communications

Once you’ve made the decision to start a website, when should you begin?

The best answer: as fast as you can! I’ll give you some reasons why.

First, you can’t enjoy the benefits of owning a website until it is actually launched. The benefits may include additional revenue, and also can mean less time invested in customer service problems. One common use of a website is to provide documentation and instructions for using your products on your website.

Secondly, domain name age appears to be a factor in high-ranking results in the search engines. So you will want to register your domain name as soon as possible.

Third, it’s rather difficult to begin getting the word out about your site until it’s actually live. And because the impacts of web promotion add up over time… and because you can only do so much in any given day, you should get started on your promotion right away. Some of the means of promotion you can do are writing articles, video, write press releases, commenting on blogs, and marketing on forums.

Fourth, starting right away means you can start “catching up” with your competitors that much sooner.

Fifth, any effort that you put in today will give you a lead over your competition who are not online. People often put off starting a website, believing it will be time-consuming and difficult.

Sixth, having a website will make prospects and existing customers feel better about doing business with you.

Seventh, a website can fulfill the function of providing the required number of contact points that most prospects require before feeling ready to invest in your products or services. Which paper stock you choose when printing your book can have a huge impact on your print pricing. Coated or uncoated? Glossy finish, matte finish, or standard offset? What’s the opacity? What’s the weight? The answer to these questions will determine your paper pricing.

Book paper weights are different than the paper weight measurements you will see in an office supply store. A 20# bond that you would find at Staples is similar to a 50# offset at a book printer. A 24# bond is similar to 60# offset, 28# is similar to 70# offset, etc.

Typically, I would recommend that for a standard book with just black text (no color) and not a lot of images, 50# offset is just fine. If there are a lot of graphics in the book, you might want to bump up to 60# offset to eliminate some see-through from one side of the page to the other.

One thing I cannot emphasize enough – get print samples. There are a couple times when I have had a client tell me they knew exactly what type of paper they wanted to use, but then they were disappointed when they got the final product. Why? A friend of theirs had told them which paper stock to choose, and they ordered their books without ever seeing a paper sample. Don’t make the same mistake!

Choosing paper stock for a book printed in full color is sometimes a little trickier. You may want to go with a glossy paper stock to make any images “pop” a little more. However, glossy stock often feels thinner than standard paper stock.

Also, if you are printing in full color, you’ll definitely want a thicker paper stock. You don’t want any see-through for your color images from one side of the page to another. I usually recommend 80# gloss for most color books. If you want a little thicker, step up to 100# gloss. If you are trying to save cost, drop down to 70# gloss – but never less than that.

Again — always get samples before making your decision!

When it comes to cover stock, for a paperback book a 10 pt. C1S cover is standard. However, it is usually very inexpensive to upgrade to a 12 pt. C1S cover. People do judge a book by its cover, so this might be a cost-effective upgrade.

As an affiliate marketer, you need to capture e-mail addresses, then to convert that prospect into a sale. Stick with affiliate programs that aren’t focused on capturing leads because it’s simply not in your best interest. Build your own list, not someone else’s.

It’s a tough question to answer, and one I hear all the time: Which paper stock should I choose for my book? And although it’s a tough question, it is an important one because the paper you choose will tell your potential buyer what kind of book this is. Go too cheap, you might lose some buyers to a different title. Go too expensive, you just wasted your money.

Book paper weights are different than the paper weight measurements you will see in an office supply store. A 20# bond that you would find at Staples is similar to a 50# offset at a book printer. A 24# bond is similar to 60# offset, 28# is similar to 70# offset, etc.

Most black & white books with no photos are printed on either 50# or 60# offset. Going with 50# is adequate for most books and will save you some money. However, if you want your book to have a nicer feel to it, check out the extra cost for 60#. It might be worth it to you.

One thing I cannot emphasize enough – get print samples. There are a couple times when I have had a client tell me they knew exactly what type of paper they wanted to use, but then they were disappointed when they got the final product. Why? A friend of theirs had told them which paper stock to choose, and they ordered their books without ever seeing a paper sample. Don’t make the same mistake!

Choosing paper stock for a book printed in full color is sometimes a little trickier. You may want to go with a glossy paper stock to make any images “pop” a little more. However, glossy stock often feels thinner than standard paper stock.

Also, if your book is full color, a thicker paper may be necessary to make your book have a nicer feel to it and justify your sale price. If printing in the U.S., I usually recommend no lighter than a 70# or 80# gloss. If printing overseas, don’t go lighter than 120 gsm.

I can’t say it often enough: No matter which paper stock you think you want, ask your printer for some samples first.

When it comes to cover stock, for a paperback book a 10 pt. C1S cover is standard. However, it is usually very inexpensive to upgrade to a 12 pt. C1S cover. People do judge a book by its cover, so this might be a cost-effective upgrade.

I got up from the campfire, and walked over to the field to get a better look at this beautiful northern sky. The stars were big and brighter than ever, thousands of them. It’s like a magic window to the universe opens when the sun goes down up here in this part of the country.

When the week is up we’ll head down to the north woods of Wisconsin for a few days and hang out in one of those parks. The weather is getting hot, we will probably put the fishing gear away for a while and find a remote sandy beach where we can go swimming and take in some trails.

You can only send messages to groups with 1200 people or fewer, so you’ll need to change your group from ‘public’ to ‘private’ once you have more than 1000 members or so.

All the people in your groups as well as all your friends form your network of contacts. Ultimately, you want to get people to sign up for your newsletter, so that you can contact them without going through Facebook.

2. Make sure your graphics load correctly on your web site. Broken graphics will make your business look very unprofessional.

3. Avoid using scrolling marquees on your web site. They take the attention away from your ad copy and make your web page load slower.

4. Make your web site writing exciting to read. You can use emotional words, descriptive adjectives, highlight keywords with color, etc.

5. Remember to reach out and touch your visitors offline. When your visitors give you offline contact information use it to send them some direct mail.

6. Use guest books to improve your web site. Your visitors will leave good and bad comments. Review the comments and use them to improve your site.

7. Regularly check and resubmit your web site’s search engine rankings. They can drop very quickly because of all the competition.

8. Divide your price over a period of time to make it sound less. Offer a payment plan or show the per day price. For example, “Only 33 cents per day!”

9. Promote your products within the content of your web site. If you write and offer free articles tie in a mention of the product or service you’re selling.

Before we begin, I suggest you can a pen and paper because you will want to write down ideas, thoughts and new product ideas you get from answering the five questions in this article. These questions will help you generate multiple ideas for your current products and services you are offering, your business and yourself.

Number one question: In the next seven days what can I do that will increase the number of people opting in to my squeeze pages? To increase my conversion rate? To increase the number of people promoting my products? What can I do in the next seven days to let my customers know I appreciate their business? In the next seven days how can I overdeliver to my customers?

Basically you need to think about: What can I do in the next seven days…and you can fill in all the things you can to improve. Increase traffic? Increase response rate? Decrease email removals? Decrease refunds?

There’s all kinds of things you can sub in there. But ask yourself those questions and then watch what happens. Watch your imagination take off. Make sure you record those ideas as you start generating them.

Number Two question: Regarding marketing strategies, which of them are being used successfully in your industry?

Look at a business in your industry that is very successful and ask yourself what marketing strategies are they using that you could apply to your business?

Number three question: What would be five new ways to attain new customers?

Have you ever thought about that? Most of us acquire customers one particular way. We have one method of acquiring customers. Ask yourself: What are five new ways that I can acquire customers? It will set off a chain reaction of ideas for you and your business, and when you start implementing these ideas, your business inevitably is going to expand and grow and get bigger and better and bring in more revenue.

Question number four: Who could really help my idea take off and how can I make it super easy for them to do so?

Throughout my career I have asked myself this question over and over again. If you really think about it and apply it, this question can be extremely powerful. I cannot even begin to explain how powerful it really can be and how I have been able to apply it to my business.

I’ll repeat it one more time. How do I make it really easy for people to help me and who do I know that could really help my idea take off? This is a great question.

Number five question: For only $10, how could I wow blank?

Spending only $10 how could I wow my customers? For only $10 how could I wow my affiliates? My joint venture partners? Why not use this everywhere, spending only $10 how could I wow my girlfriend, boyfriend, spouse, friends?

It’s an awesome formula. Use it to grow your business. Use it to take your money makers and turn them in to profit empires.

Okay, now I’m going to tell you something about hooks that you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else.

Sure you know about hooks… but how about “mico-hooks”? That’s how we get people reading our ads.

And since you know the more people read, the more they buy, you’ll want to sprinkle “micro-hooks” in your advertising to jack up your readership, your conversion rates and your bottom line.

People are by and large curious. And I like to use that fact to my advantage when writing salescopy.

It makes people slightly uncomfortable… at least until they get the answer. But most importantly, it keeps them reading until they do.

It’s psychology 101… but it’s something you can use to keep the odds in your favor.

Mark Joyner really brought this concept to Internet Marketing called the Zeigarnik Effect. Mark is a real master of this powerful concept.

When I wrote his copy for the 7 Day Business Turnaround… I used this technique a lot.

Here’s a sample:

I was explaining the exact 4 steps involved in a business turnaround.

Then I said

“That’s it. Pretty simple… at least on the outside. With that strategy alone, you could engineer a turnaround. If you know the tactics to accomplish each step, my work is done here. Go forth and execute. If you don’t… keep reading to uncover your answer. Okay, seems pretty simple doesn’t it?”

But I didn’t give them all the details… but enough to give some real information.

But they were told that if they didn’t, they should just keep reading and the answer would be revealed.

How many people were hot to find out the answer?

Oh yeah. They HAD to find the answer.

Let me give you one more example from that salesletter.

A little ways down in the copy, I explained the mechanism behind turnarounds.

I wrote:

“That’s the process for your 7 Day Turnaround. It’s the same thing a Fortune 500 would do, just made so bloody simple a 2nd grade teacher could do it (more about that in a minute)”

Whoa nelly!

How in the world could anyone resist something that simple?

And the words “more on that in a minute” literally hooked them into reading until they found out!

That leter is a clinic on “micro-hooks”.

It’s a fantastic lesson on keeping people engaged in your advertising.

Oh yeah. One more thing worth noting.

You gotta close the loop on the curiosity!

If you don’t give them what you said you would… they won’t trust you. And that kills your sales.

If the loop remains open, not only will they view you as a liar… you’ve ruined the buying climate.

But don’t give readers ALL the answers in your copy… or they won’t buy your product.
