Most people when they are getting involved in the online world are seduced by some online marketing tricks – I definitely have!
There are lots of sneaky things that online marketers do to get you to hand over your hard earned cash. Most aren’t illegal, but the line between ethical and not is certainly blurred in my opinion.
While looking for a work-at-home opportunity I kept coming across the same types of promises, with many websites using very similar techniques.
So here’s a series of tricks they do to attract you. Hopefully now you be able to separate the genuine from the gimmicks.
Lesson 1 is all about the SALES FUNNEL:
You’ll notice many websites have just one long landing page that takes you AGES to read. Firstly many of these are written by professional copywriters who are paid thousands and thousands of dollars for their craft.
The reason these copywriters are paid so much is because their pages are so seductive. The good ones can convince us to buy just about anything without us even realising we’re being SOLD TO!
They’ll make you think their product or opportunity will solve all your problems. Their writing will attempt to pull at your heart strings and hook you in. They also show you lots of people who have bought the product already, which some of them I find a bit hard to believe.
You go into a bit of a trance just filtering down the page absorbing all the sales hype until you reach the bottom and find yourself reaching for your wallet.
There’s a lot more to these websites, but I’ll tell you the other tricks in my other articles.
Oh, by the way I did eventually find an amazing home business opportunity that has changed my life path and its NOT Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM). Check out my website for more info.
