It will be best if you can get this from the release distribution site you will be using. Each site will differ slightly on their format; the essence though will always be the same.

Pay attention to details such as the overall presentation and format. Be mindful of how each paragraph is written, from the headline to the end. Also, examine the message conveyed by each of the paragraphs.

Pattern your own press release in such manner for it is the standard that is being followed by practically anyone submitting a release.

Not abiding to this approach may generate unwanted outcome such as missing your chance to be noticed by the media.

Do not forget to concede to this, or else your release will go straight to the waste disposal area. Remember that there are site editors who are stern in dealing with such case.

Standard press release example will be one format that has been proven through the years to be suitable for the purpose. There is an established pattern for this”so it is best to follow this.

You may add some glamor and creativity into your composition. However, always do so with extra care.

Normally, news releases are done formally. But for experienced writers, a bit of imagination and style may be well incorporated. If presented properly, surely it will be more fascinating.

This is not for the uninitiated however, as the result may not be in good taste.

Implement whatever it is that you can work with and put it into good use, for there may always be ways to develop your writing, still it may not be good enough.

Sample Press Release: The Supreme Guide

Do not be miserable if in your initial attempt, you will not be able to get it right. In fact, you cannot perfect it right away. But if you have experienced writing it before or you are a certified passionate writer, possibly may be.

Continue on and keep on refining your writing to make your story brief and informative. No fluff. This will be a challenge at first, since you are not sure yet as to what will be included, and what will be discarded.

Eventually, you will be keen in identifying what words do not contribute any significance. Anything that does not make any sense can be deleted.

If you are a business owner, you may not be able to outsource your copywriting. Your marketing plan should include a lot of content and much of it may be self-written. Whether it is your company newsletter, a blog, direct mail pieces or sales letters, you know you must be continually reaching out to your customers to stay on top of the competition. Making your writing more powerful is one way to do this.

Don’t beat around the bush in your writing. Expert copywriters Michael Masterson and Robert Bly recommend that you write headlines and points that are useful, urgent, ultra-specific and unique. The most important message should be first and you should be brief. Let your readers know right away what you are trying to tell them.

Avoid the passive tense!!! Not only does the passive tense break the “be brief” rule, it also is, well, passive-not powerful! For example the PASSIVE: “The bar exam was failed by nearly half of the candidates” is not as good as the ACTIVE: “Nearly half of the candidates failed the bar exam.”

Repeat important points, but word them differently. “Our retail store offers a 100% money back guarantee.”, “Feel secure because we guarantee your satisfaction 100% -or we’ll refund your purchase price!”

Use words that convey emotion. Need help? Google “list of emotional words” and you will find several, one of which is over 3000 entries long! Are you a plumbing contractor trying to grow your business? Imagine approaching builders with the following question: “Are you apprehensive (hesitant, worried, bewildered, dismayed) about choosing a plumbing partner for your building business? versus “Are you looking for a new plumbing contractor?”

Use storytelling. There are whole books about how storytelling is impacting business marketing these days. Examine your business for YOUR story and integrate it whenever you can. The above plumbing contractor is much more intriguing when you find that they also play country music on the weekends or are a fourth generation plumber! Let readers know who you are.

Breaking up your text is important. The eye needs cues on what is important so use plenty of white space, bullets, bold type, italics, indents and borders to allow readers to find important points and so their eye can rest. Long, unbroken paragraphs bore and tire readers.

Writing more powerfully is an easy skill to learn. It also has many benefits to you and your customers. Take some time to review some past pieces you’ve written and see how you can make them more powerful. Learning this skill helps you lure readers in from your target market!

First impression counts the most when you apply for a job. It is made by your resume. So it is important that your resume should be very well written and contains all the details about you. Find some tips below to write it perfectly.

When you have written a resume, make sure you read it again for spelling or grammatical errors. You can check it with a spell check. A spell checker software is not perfect so you need to read your resume yourself to find any errors.

The resume should neither be too long nor too short. It should just have enough details about your skills and everything else. It may not be fully read if it is too long or has unnecessary information in it.

The formatting style used on your resume can vary depending upon whether you are submitting it online or by hand. If you are going to get it printed, you should have things like font styles, bullets and other formatting. It should be simple if it has to be submitted online.

Employers often receive a lot of resumes every day. Sometimes they just do not see every resume. They search through the resumes using various keywords. So you should include the keywords in your resume. You should mention your skills, positions you have worked on, technologies used, educational and experience details.

All the important points should be summarized and clearly mentioned. You should write a clear objective and details about your experience and qualifications. You should clearly mention your job position at your previous employer.

Do not submit the same resume to all the employers. When you are applying to a job position, make your resume according to that position. You may leave most things unchanged but just add details about that particular skill.

There are various social media tools where you can get in touch with professionals from all over the world. LinkedIn is one such tool where you can get in touch with various persons and establish contacts.

Sending a marketing letter can have a very positive impact on a business’ potential. Any business that needs to succeed through sales promotions will certainly benefit from the use of a solid sales letter. However, this does raise questions as to what one can do when those employed by the business lack the ability to compose an original sales letter.

This problem really is not much of a problem. Thanks to the availability of a sample marketing letter, a business or entrepreneur can follow a logical template that will aid in producing a much needed and beneficial marketing letter. Often, this will prove to be a huge plus to those businesses that may otherwise be suffering from weak sales generation.

A sample marketing letter has a number of pros and cons associated with them. A clear understanding of these many pros and cons will certainly aid in ensuring that the purpose of the letter is achieved. Again, you will always want to see the marketing letter leads to increased revenues. So, here is a brief look at the common pros and cons associated with a sample marketing letter:

The sample marketing letter will have been created by a professional and will include all of the points to stress when writing a marketing letter. When following these to write your own sales page, do not omit any important steps included on the sample. If you do, you may not get a very good result. Sometimes, the smallest things can make a big difference in sales.

Following a marketing letter template will give your sales piece some necessary structure so you do not start rambling or lose the reader’s train of thought. When complete, your marketing letter should be structured in a way that causes the reader to respond. The proper structure must be followed for best results.

Using a sample will also help ensure that the marketing letter is brief and to the point. Far too often, people assume that if they overload a sales letter they will experience a very positive response from the recipient. This is often NOT the case as too much information can lead to a rejection of the material present in the sales letter. Sample letters help you avoid such a scenario.

One con commonly associated with a marketing letter sample is that it can be a bit generic. That is, it is not tailored for a specific business. As such, it can appear to be a canned letter in some instances. This is not terribly bad but it is not a great positive either.

Remember that you must carefully edit your own work. A professional may have written the sample, but you do not have a professional to proofread your final copy. No matter how carefully you follow the template, if your marketing letter is filled with grammar errors and typos, you will still make a bad impression.

A sample marketing letter is beneficial to all marketers whether it is an individual or business. They provide much needed guidance for those involved in direct marketing and are the next best thing to having your own copywriter.

In order to survive, a business needs to make sales. The more sales made, the higher the profits. A very important marketing tool to help make more sales is a sales letter. A marketing letter that is expertly crafted could be responsible for many sales and make the business a lot of money. It is easy to see why a business would want a solid sales letter, but what do they do when there is no one capable of writing a high quality sales piece?

A sample marketing letter can help anyone who is weak at writing sales copy by providing a step-by-step template to follow while constructing the sales piece. A sample marketing letter can benefit a business that needs more sales or anyone that wants to learn the art of copywriting. A good copywriter is an important business asset, but may be too expensive for fledgling businesses to hire. When learning copywriting on your own, a solid template is of great value.

Using a sample marketing letter has some good points and bad points. An understanding of these helps to ensure that the sample is used properly and good results are achieved. After all, the purpose of the letter is to increase revenue.

The sample marketing letter will have been created by a professional and will include all of the points to stress when writing a marketing letter. When following these to write your own sales page, do not omit any important steps included on the sample. If you do, you may not get a very good result. Sometimes, the smallest things can make a big difference in sales.

When you follow a template when drafting your marketing letter, you give the sales piece the structure and focus that is needed to create interest in the reader so they are more likely to buy your product. A good sales page leads the reader to buy, but the proper structure is necessary to elicit that response.

Tight sales copy is important in getting people to respond to your marketing letter. If you follow a sample template while writing your sales piece it will help keep you from rambling. Being concise gets better results. Overloading the reader with choices and information can often backfire and cause them to turn away. Following a template can help you overcome this common tendency and help you trim down your sales piece so it is more effective.

One drawback associated with using a sample marketing letter is that it tends to be generic in nature and it may be hard for you to tweak it to your specific business. It may even give the appearance of being canned if you are not careful.

Although a professional copywriter wrote your sample letter, you will not have one of these experts around to proofread your final copy. Be aware that you must edit your work carefully. Even if you follow the template exactly as you should, if your copy has spelling and grammar errors, it will turn your readers away.

Ultimately, a solid sample marketing letter will prove to be a great help for any business seeking to succeed in direct mail marketing. This is why they are so popular and will continue to be popular for many years to come.

Selling on the Internet seems like it should be easy, right? You just put something up, slap a price tag on it and stick a picture of it next to a Buy Now button. Piece of cake.

If your business has been online for any amount of time, you know its not quite that simple.

To sell any product in any quantity that matter, you have to put some careful consideration into it and use the basic five-step sales formula. To over-simplify a bit, that formula is:

1. Get Attention By Appealing To His Basic Psychology 2. Show A Benefit That Appeals to Emotion 3. Prove It (repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary) 4. Make the Offer 5. Ask Them To Do What You Want

Steps 2 and 3 are inseparable. Messing them up will almost always kill your sales.

The biggest mistake you can make when showing your benefits and proving them is to assume your prospects are idiots or suckers.

But people will believe anything thats written I mean, if its on the Internet it must be true right? (insert shady wink here).

Not likely.

In fact, just because its on the Internet and so many shady marketers have taken advantage of the zero overhead costs that come with starting an Internet based business to sell crap, people are less likely to believe you.

Those shady Internet marketers (usually masquerading under the self-assumed title affiliate marketer) dont believe in what theyre selling. Since they dont believe in what theyre selling, they are by definition, selling to idiots and suckers. They have to trick their prospects into buying.

They don’t persuade, they scam.

They don’t convince, they con.

If you don’t believe in your product, you shouldn’t be selling it. If you cant scrap up the decency to offer only the product that you would use if you were in need, then get out of business and go work for someone else.

Many businesses are tempted to make outrageous and sometimes downright false claims because they feel a need to out do or at least meet the competitions claims. This is a big mistake.

If your competition is making those claims and they’re true, then they have the better product and should be outselling you. If that’s the case, your time is better spent improving your product.

But often, those claims are empty promises. If your product works the best at doing one thing, then tell people. In that case, your market is prospects who have been let down by the false claims of your competition.

They were promised the world and received only Antarctica.

Your now selling to people who have been let down by the over-hype of your competition.

To stand out from your competition (and most of the marketing world) you only have two tasks to complete:

1. Tell people what your product can do. 2. Make sure your product does exactly what you said it would.

That’s it. Nothing more. If you can do that, you’ll be ahead of your competition by a few miles. Even better, they’ll try to make bigger, more outrageous claims, pushing you even further ahead.

Sometimes, simpler is better. And the truth always wins.

All businesses need to make sales in order to profit and a good way to do that is through strong sales letters. A good sales letter can have a big impact on a company’s bottom line. However, what is a business to do when there is no employee capable of writing a marketing letter that gets results?

By using a sample marketing letter, or template, an entrepreneur or business can follow a logical systematic plan for creating a sales letter that sounds professionally written and more importantly, is able to get results. Such a letter is a huge help to anyone who needs more sales or who needs help with weak sales copy.

A professional copywriter should write the sample marketing letter. Therefore, it is important to follow the sample exactly as laid out in order to get results. Do not omit any steps because you do not think they are necessary or your results may be less than what you hoped for. Professional copywriters know that even tiny changes in a sales piece can make a huge difference in sales for the better or worse.

Sample marketing letters also present a much needed sense of structure to the letter. When a letter – for lack of a better word – rambles without any clear cohesion of focus, the letter will not deliver the intended results. However, a properly structured and detailed sample letter will deliver the results one is seeking.

Using a sample as guide will also help you keep your sales copy tight and brief. Too much information and too many choices overwhelm the reader and cause them to stop reading rather than buy. It is important to get to the point in a marketing letter but most people tend to ramble on. Following a template will help you control your tendencies to be verbose.

One drawback associated with using a sample marketing letter is that it tends to be generic in nature and it may be hard for you to tweak it to your specific business. It may even give the appearance of being canned if you are not careful.

Another con is that sample marketing letters are devoid of the careful, calculating hand of an editor. When errors are present in a modified sample letter, the entrepreneur may not have access to this. As such, a poorly revamped sample marketing letter may go out in the mail.

All things considered, a sample marketing letter is a big help to anyone or any business involved in direct mail or any other type of marketing. It is the next best thing to having a professional copywriter on staff.

If you want to increase the popularity of your website, and increase the amount of sales you produce from the site, then you have to consider developing the proper style of copywriting for the web. Copywriting for the Internet is quite a bit different from copywriting in standard or traditional media outlets. The Internet provides different benefits and Internet browsers handle material in different ways. Use this guide to help improve your copywriting for the web.

As an internet marketer, you’re using the written word almost exclusively to get your message out. Even if you’re using online video ads, podcasts or other multimedia formats in as part of your marketing strategy, you still need to carefully craft your message to have the maximum impact on your audience.

Copywriting is a skill which it behooves every internet marketer to develop; if you simply don’t have the time to devote learning to become a better copywriter, you’ll need to find a talented writer to work with to ensure that you’re saying what you want to say in a way which appeals to your target market.

Let’s talk about what an SEO copywriter is for just a moment. A copywriter, by definition, is a person who promotes a business or company. Ideally, a copywriter is someone who has experience in undertaking promotional situations, such as for print, TV, radio or website. This type of job differs from a newspaper writer or freelance writer. The difference is not only in the lack of objectivity involved in copy writing, but also because marketing copy usually involves persuasive writing. Copywriting is all about persuading or dissuading a reader to come to a conclusion-that is, that the advertised product is indeed the “right” decision.

With your online copywriting you have to make it as easy as possible for people to understand what you’re asking of them, and for them to then take the appropriate action. It’s not as if you’re writing promotional material for a magazine and you have an order form included for anyone who picks it up.

Instead of hiring a marketing company to run a ten thousand dollar campaign you can purchase an SEO marketing package for just a couple of hundred dollars. The best option in terms of affordability is not to work with a publicity firm but to hire a reliable ghostwriting company. In fact, you may get a discount by working with a ghostwriting service, along with extra niceties, than by hiring an individual SEO copywriter. Ghostwriting services usually charge by the project; an experienced the copywriter will charge a high hourly rate depending on experience. You’re basically paying for a consultant in this scenario, and that can be pricey.

A ghostwriting service is in the business of selling words, selling good persuasive writing. This is what you need if you hope to compete in today’s Internet-savvy market. For more information on SEO copywriter services online, look up a company in your area or in your budget, and ask about packaging options.

Remember that you’ll never go wrong by keeping it short; while the marathon sales letter was very effective for Dale Carnegie, people simply don’t have the same kind of patience for long form copy in internet marketing. Keep it short and to the point, make it clear and outline the benefits of your product and make sure to get your reader’s attention immediately; once you’ve captured their interest, half the battle of making a sale has been won.

The goal of copy written material is to have individuals follow a certain path. In most cases this information is based on an opinion or theory that someone else is expressing. In many cases there is a strong opinion or call to action in copy written material, asking the reader to take action. It may be that the product or service will better their life, protect their loved ones or make them healthier. The content certainly depends on the type of business or website, but copy writing is used to persuade the reader.

This means two different things for your copywriting. First of all, you need to make your content very engaging and compelling. This means including catchy titles and subtitles, and displaying them prominently in the correct fonts and styles.

It also means however that you have to make your content extremely easy to scan. The use of subtitles can also help this and you should also keep your paragraphs short and easy to skim. Consider using numbered lists and bullet points as well. Basically the more ways you can break up big chunks of text to make it more inviting to browsers and to make it easier to scan the more success you’ll see.

Years ago, copywriting was largely associated with marketing services, advertising companies and publicity agents. Nowadays, the popularity of the Internet and advent of online advertising has opened up new doors for copywriters. An SEO copywriter is more affordable now than ever before. This new age of copywriting certainly saves you, as a company owner, a lot of money. Now the question is where can you find affordable copywriting for your business?

This means that effective copywriting on the Internet is also in part reliant on the incorporation of effective website design. If you are providing specifications on various products, your copywriting then has to point in the direction of the next page where the user can take the appropriate action such as making a purchase or requesting more information.

A ghostwriting service is in the business of selling words, selling good persuasive writing. This is what you need if you hope to compete in today’s Internet-savvy market. For internet marketers, the importance of strong copywriting begins with their website before going any further, take a look over your site and try to step back and read your copy the way that a visitor might. Is it compelling? Does it get to the point? Does it effectively convey the benefits of using your product or service? Is it concise? Most importantly of all, could someone with absolutely no knowledge of what your business is about stumble onto your site and understand within a matter of seconds exactly what it is you’re selling and why they might want to do business with you? If not, it’s time to brush up on your copywriting skills and refine that website copy.

Let’s go these questions one by one to give a clearer understanding of what they mean for your marketing message. First of all, is your copy compelling? This is something of a subjective standard, but you (and your readers) know compelling when they see it. Does it draw you in right from the headline and make you want to read further and keep you wanting to read to the very end? This is important; especially your headline and first sentence. People have very short attention spans when it comes to reading a webpage; you have 30 seconds or less to grab them, so make the most of it or they’ll leave, likely never to return.

Someone with absolutely no idea of what your business is about should be able to read your copy and instantly understand what it is that you’re selling and what your product can do for them.Getting across the benefits of your product quickly is vital. Everyone wants to know what’s in it for them and in fact, if there’s one takeaway I’d like everyone reading this to remember it’s that the most powerful word in all of advertising is you?, as in the potential customer reading your copy.

Remember that you’ll never go wrong by keeping it short; while the marathon sales letter was very effective for Dale Carnegie, people simply don’t have the same kind of patience for long form copy in internet marketing. Before you start writing that ezine article, you will need to know how to write an article. If you do not have any experience with writing content, then you need to do some studying before you start doing so. If you start writing ezine articles without knowing how to write one, then you will make many mistakes. Sure, mistakes happen and you are going to improve with each article that you write, but there are some mistakes that could be avoided, so I have come up with some steps you need to follow in order to write a high quality article. Let’s look at how to write an ezine article.

Step number one – You need to first figure out what the purpose for writing these articles is. Write this purpose out and then start outlining the article. Yes, in the beginning, you need to outline your article on a piece of paper until you get used to writing those articles out of your mind. I personally write ezine articles straight out of my mind, it’s something you learn with practice. You too could have this gift, if you follow these directions. The outline you write will allow you to give useful information to your reader. I admit, as you write, new things will pop in your mind, so feel free to jot those down on that paper as well.

Step number two – No matter what you do, you should never beat around the bush. You should always give useful information that is to the point. Sure, beating around the bush is fine in the beginning to get the reader to continue, but sometime in that article, you need to give that information. You should not make your paragraphs too long. Those sentences you produce should be short and to the point.

Step number three – You need to be familiar with the targeted market. If you are targeting dog lovers, then you obviously need to know about dogs and dog accessories. Make sure you know your market.

Step number four – You need to learn some secrets and share them with your readers. When you do this, they will think of you in the future when they need to know something and keep coming back to you.

Step number five – You should make sure you stand out from the crowd. In order to do this, you need to not write about common subjects. What are those common subjects? Those common subjects include fitness, beauty, parenting and all of that other mainstream stuff. It’s better to write about technical things such as finance, mortgages and other business related subjects, but try to find an aspect within them that is a bit more niche. When you do this, you should make sure you do your research and have knowledge on what you are writing.

Step number six – You need to develop your writing skills, this will come with practice and is a technique that can be learned. Look at the ezine articles other people have written, very soon you will get a feel for the method and style you should be using.

Step number seven – Here we are, at the last tip already. This is the important tip, because it involves your reputation. You need to establish a reputation by writing a large number of articles within your niche, this will help to establish you as an expert within your field. Now that you know how to write an ezine article, it is time to get started.

Successful advertising is all about communication; verbal communication in particular. Whether you’re advertising in print, on radio or television or on the web, copywriting is at the core of your marketing efforts. The way that you get your message across is just as important as the message itself.

You have to keep in mind is that when people are on the Internet they are in scanning mode. This means they quickly leap from one page to the next, only glossing at information to see if it has what they need or if they are interested in it. If you can’t immediately grab and hold their attention, then your website and whatever you’re selling or offering is out of luck.

This means two different things for your copywriting. First of all, you need to make your content very engaging and compelling. This means including catchy titles and subtitles, and displaying them prominently in the correct fonts and styles.

Keep it short and to the point, make it clear and outline the benefits of your product and make sure to get your reader’s attention immediately; once you’ve captured their interest, half the battle of making a sale has been won.

Sure, beating around the bush is fine in the beginning to get the reader to continue, but sometime in that article, you need to give that information. You should not make your paragraphs too long. Those sentences you produce should be short and to the point.

Step number three – Of course, you will need to know about the market you are targeting. If you are writing in order to attract younger people, then you need to focus on writing things that draw young people’s attention. You need to first understand the culture of the individuals you are targeting.

Step number four – Every reader out there likes ways to achieve fast results mixed with secrets and that is just what you should give them. Try to make sure that the information you provide is helpful and of value.

Step number five – This is an important step as it involves setting yourself apart from everyone else. You should not write on common topics such as cooking, sports, fitness and food. You may want to write about those topics that are more in demand such as finance, business and other technical topics. You should do your research and have good knowledge on any subject before you write about it.

Step number six – If you do not have good writing skills, then you need to do some studying before you start writing. You can learn good skills by reading other ezine articles and picking up on the structure. You may also want to do some studying as far as plurals, adjectives, verbs and sentence structures.

Step number seven – Here we are, at the last step. This step is pretty important, because it involves getting a good reputation. You need to write many ezine articles and put them on the Internet in your name. Those articles should be in the same niche and target those you are looking to target. Try to get known within your field.

Having this influence is important for a website owner. They want their customers, visitors or prospects to buy from their site, advertise it to their friends and visit again. For this cycle to continue the reader must feel that they are benefiting from the product or site. Ad spying tools are incredibly useful tools for anyone who advertises on the search engines. They allow you to study your competition and take advantage of all the research they have done and help your own pay per click campaign get off the ground. This allows you to save time and effort which can be applied to other things. Why spend time doing all the work yourself, when the hard work has already been done for you?

There are several pay per click spying tools out there. Some are web based, while others are software programs that you start from your own computer. All of them work using the same basic premise. Ads that appear at the top of the search results over a number of days in a row are more than likely to be successful for that advertiser. Otherwise, why would they spend money advertising for these top spots if they were losing money?

By using an ad spying tool, you can automatically record and track what ads are being shown for your keywords on a daily basis. After the tool has collected data for a long enough period of time (a couple of weeks), you should be able to quickly discover which advertisers are doing the best and for which keywords. Once you have that info, you can examine the ad copy they are using along with their landing page. As you can tell, this information can be very helpful for your own PPC campaign.

Lets take a look at some different Ad Spy Tools that I have used myself and see which one is the best.

iSpionage – This is the most costly tool of the group and will cost you about $75 a month to use. It does offer several advantages however. First of all, it is web based, so you can use it regardless if you are on a PC or Mac. It is also project based, so it is very easy to scan keywords from several niches at a time. In addition, it supports Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN Adcenter along with Google Adwords.

PPCKahuna Software – This tool is one of the main selling points of the PPC Kahuna pay per click training membership. It is for Windows only and works on Google Adwords. It is relatively easy to use and there are several videos on the site that show you different strategies for using the software. What I like most about PPC Kahuna are its [excellent|great|nice] filtering capabilities [that help you easily find what you need|which helps pinpoint those profitable competitors extremely fast]. The software gets updated quite often, so expect its capabilities to increase in the future.

Affiliate Espionage – This is a neat little tool that not many people know about. It is also very affordable with a one time payment of $9.97. Since it is a Firefox extension, it supports all major platforms. Affiliate Espionage tracks the ads that it sees as you make searches. You can also input in your own keywords and have it scan during a certain time period. The extension supports the 3 major pay per click platforms (Adwords, Yahoo and MSN) and it works by annotating the ads in your search results with useful data. The downside of this tool, is that all the information is not in a central place, which makes it a little less convenient to find what you want than the first two tools.

Traffic Travis – This is a handy tool that any internet marketer should be using. It is a desktop software that you download to your own computer to use. What’s more is that the program is totally free! The PPC Analysis module of Traffic Travis is actually a very effective ad spy tool. I would recommend that you try it first as new pay per click marketer. It only works with Google however, and it is not quite as easy to use as iSpionage or PPC Kahuna if you are working with several campaigns at once.

The Shock And Awe title. This type of title tugs on a visitor’s emotions and tries to get a reaction out of them. If you achieve this, they will be compelled to read your article. Make sure the title provokes either a strongly positive or strongly negative emotion. Either works effectively.

The “Do You Know What I Know” title. This title engages the reader by posing a question to them and peaking their curiosity.

Copywriting for the web includes many of the same basic techniques, such as writing for your audience, that standard copywriting includes. In addition, you have to consider breaking up your content in new ways and incorporating your design into your writing to allow people to take action.

Press releases are an easy-to-use tool to attract media attention for your business and changes or events you are having. Press releases should not be considered advertising and they should be used sparingly and appropriately. You want to attract reporters from local or national media and sending out advertisement style press releases won’t work. Press releases have a purpose and that is to entice reporters with a possible story.

Writing a press release is not hard but there is a format to use. Make it easy for reporters to contact you. All press releases should have your name, location, phone number and email address on them. All press releases should be written in third person and should have an angle. It should be obvious to the reporter reviewing your press release that there is a news story there. Press releases should make the story clear for the reporter. What is unique about your business itself or the change or event at your business?

So, what news story do you have to tell? What is unique about your background, your startup, your staff or service offerings? Do you offer an ironclad money back guarantee in an industry where that is unheard of? That might be a story. Are you an immigrant who came to this country with nothing and started a business, consider that a story. Look for what makes your business story or event stand out before submitting a press release.

If you have decent writing skills, you can write a press release yourself using an online template (just do an online search for “press release template” or “sample”). However, if you lack these skills or don’t have the time, it is easy enough to hire a freelance writer to create press releases for you. Search freelance sites like GetaFreelancer or Elance and ask for samples of press releases your potential writers have done. You can expect to pay $5-$15 each for a one page release. Use the best writer you can afford. They are representing your business!

Write a press release that is full of detail, but not marketing, sales or industry talk. Write it in common, news style language and be sure the story is obvious to the reader and reporter. Don’t get bogged down in your personal industry jargon. Write it like you’ve never heard of your business before.

When your press releases are ready, it is time to send them out to be seen. You can do this online. There are plenty of services that will release your items for free or for a fee. Free sites have stipulations about how often you can submit and where they will go so do your research. A simple online search for press release services will offer many choices. Register with several of them and review their requirements.

Press releases should be a staple in your marketing toolbox. Using them effectively can establish you as a leader or expert in your industry. Just be judicious using them and save them for real events, changes or stories within your business. They are not sales pitches. Building a relationship with the media in your area or nationally can be very valuable and it is free publicity. Offer journalists the opportunity to know your story through consistent use of press releases.

About the Author:

Using press releases to attract local or national attention from journalists is great free publicity for your business and any events you are having or changes at the company you’re experiencing. Reporters are always scanning releases for potential news stories and they see a lot of press releases so be sure you use the the right way. Do not use them as advertising. Use them to construct a potential interesting story for the media or they are likely to ignore your press releases altogether.

If you are a business owner who rose up out of poverty to create a viable business, that is a news story. If you have sold a portion of your business to a Fortune 500 company, that is a news story. If you hire only after school high school employees to help you, that is a news story. If you have started a business that has a really strong niche market, that can be a news story. The fact that you have a business that sells widgets for a low cost is NOT a news story. Find an angle in order to entice reporters to write about you.

You can write your releases yourself or outsource it to someone else very affordably. There are inexpensive writing services across the Web. You can find experienced copywriters at Elance.com, Odesk.com or GetaFreelancer.com. Expect to pay from $5-$15 per press release. Ask for samples press releases that your writer has done ahead of time. Again, however, it is fairly easy to write a press release and you can find templates across the Web.

When you are writing your press release, be sure it has plenty of detail but isn’t a marketing or sales piece. The reason for the release should be obvious to a reporter and you should write the release like a potential news story that anyone can read-not one full of jargon or industry language. Don’t make it a product or service pitch. Write the beginning of a story or announcement.

When considering marketing and publicity, don’t forget press releases! Learn to use them effectively, as enticements and aids for journalists and not as sales pitches and you can build credibility both with your industry and with reporters. Media attention is free publicity so use press releases well and you may find yourself being considered an expert in your field.

Copywriting for the Web is all about getting to the point. Copywriting for the web is entirely different from offline. Online is a fast food medium, with visitors digesting information quickly by scanning. Copywriting for the Web is a very unique communication skill. But also one that you can pick up, as Writing Machine demonstrates in its business writing course, Writing for the Web.

Web site content must be search engine friendly. Online copywriting must adopt search engine optimization techniques that structure Web site content to take advantage of search engine algorithms. Web Copywriters have to strike a balance between writing for the search engines and website visitors. Web copywriting is a bit different then writing it for traditional media such as newspaper ads, classified ads, etc . For some reason or another, people surfing the web looking for a certain service or product are motivated to buy in a different way than traditional advertising.

Online copywriting contains many elements. If youve done any searching into SEO and how it works youve come up with tons of information. Online copywriting is much different from off-line copywriting. In the off-line world most of your advertising and marketing messages are broadcast to the audience, most of whom are not looking for your message. Online copywriting and success of online businesses go hand in hand. A good online copywriter can keep the reader engrossed with the information that the webpage presents.

Finally, always remember that when you’re copywriting for the web you have to keep your target audience in mind at all times. Different groups of people will react to things in different ways. A group of scientists handing out awards may be very interested in the mechanical and technological workings of your product. But consumers looking for a bargain on a service they need instead want to see clear benefits that they receive. So remember your audience and target your message to them accordingly.

What is unique about your business itself or the change or event at your business?

It is imperative that you have a unique “story” to tell about your business, its history, a new product or how you work with the community. A new application development is a news story, the fact that it is on sale for 25% off is not. Employing a large number of high school students to help your community is a story. A family business that is being revived with technology is a story. Choose your angel wisely and make sure you know what makes you different before submitting to journalists for review.

The reason this is effective is because when you ask somebody a question, it almost forces them to answer it.

Copywriting Tip #3 – Talk “TO” the Reader

When you are writing copy for the web, make sure that you talk directly “to” the reader. You want the reader to feel that you are speaking right to them. If you make sure that your copy speaks directly to your reader, they will be more likely to pay attention to what you have to say.

Copywriting Tip #4 – Write the Way You Talk

Copywriting is all about getting results for your clients. It’s salesmanship; so as you improve your skills, you’re worth more because you get better results.

Copywriting Tip #5 – Emphasize Benefits –

Last of all, always make sure that your copy emphasizes benefits of your product or service to the audience. People want to find out how they can be benefited. This doesn’t means you talk about the features. There is a difference between features and benefits. A feature of an expensive watch is a nice wristband. A benefit of the watch is the status you gain by wearing such a nice watch. Understand the benefits your product or service can offer and emphasize these benefits to your readers for great results.

Over time you will build a following if you keep putting out content that answers the question “what do my customers want to know?”

It is important to link to other Web sites within your blog posts. If you are a hair stylist and you mention a particular hair product and link back to their site, or you are an accountant who links to a particular magazine site when someone does a search on those businesses, the odds increase your site will be in the results! Be patient and you will develop a following because you are meeting your customers’ needs by providing content they can use.

Do add a “blogroll” to your site. A blog roll is a list of other blogs you read. Reward others, even within your industry, who you enjoy reading. This builds relationships and goodwill, which may pay off later on. If you use a particular vendor that you are happy with, link to their site in your blog roll. You can also start a We Recommend list for others you respect and who have served you well.

There are many ways to add images and video to your blog at little or no cost. Using graphics makes your blog more appealing and dynamic. Do an online search for free-images and you will be taken to various sites that offer a huge variety of images. You can also do searches for video, most of which will give you the easy-to-use HTML code to copy and paste into your blog. Use images and videos that make sense to the post and drive the message home.

Some of you simply lack confidence in your writing or you don’t have the time. Don’t fret over this. You can easily find your choice of professional writers to blog for you. Posts range from $5-15 each or less, especially if you purchase via a monthly package. Your “problogger” can not only handle the actually writing, but will usually be able to add images, video and field comments for you. Just be patient as your writer learns your “voice” and how you would deliver information.

Blogging is a must if you are trying to get your name “out there”. It can help get you noticed by improving traffic, helps you build relationships with others in your field and customers and also establishes you as an expert. Additionally, you provide a legitimate service to your readers. Blogging, which can be fun and easy, is an additional marketing tool you can add to your toolbox.

Are you frustrated because you spent a lot of money on SEO and creating a beautiful site, but are still not getting the customers you need? You may have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars by now and are about to give up because you are just not getting the sales and conversions you are looking for. Did you know that the reason for this is that pictures and SEO alone do not sell? So what does? Words sell, and that is why you need to read this article and learn the principles of creating content that will convert.

Firstly, what you need to know about human behavior is that people are motivated to act in a certain way not by their logic, but by their emotions. When it comes to buying something the same approach works. People do not want to buy something to help you earn money, they want to know how your product can help them, what problems they can get rid off by using it.

Everyone says that their product is great – try to offer something more than that, on emotional level. Explain to people how they are going to feel when they will be using the product and what benefits the are going to get from it.

The second principle of creating good copy is getting into the readers mind. This gives you direct access to the command center of their brain and is going to make it easier for you to get them to take action. This does not mean that they will do whatever you ask. What it does mean is that you need to write the way that people speak. A conversational style is always going to win out over one that is dry and overly complicated. People dont talk that way or think that way, so it is not going to lead them to take action. Keep it simple and make sure that it flows just like your speech would.

The third principle of creating a good copy is never try to sell the reader. Imagine you have met your friend and want to tell him about your product in a friendly manner, conveying your enthusiasm and passion. It will work much better, as it will be more personal than writing to a lot of people.

In case you are still not sure how it works, just call one of your friends and explain all about your business and products. Record the conversation – this is going to help a lot.

If you put these principles into practice and avoid errors, you will be able to increase your conversions. Rewrite your copy as your skills develop and you feel its necessary, as it is the best way to become a great writer.

By applying these principles you will soon learn how a correctly made copy can promote your online business and increase your sales.

Did you know that the reason for this is that pictures and SEO alone do not sell? So what does? The most essential thing in creating a content that can sell is to understand a human behavior. People are mostly driven by their emotions when it comes to making decisions on purchasing something. Everyone says that their product is great – try to offer something more than that, on emotional level. Explain to people how they are going to feel when they will be using the product and what benefits the are going to get from it.

The next principle is being actually understood by people. Try to make your copy in simple conversational style. People like it that way and it will more likely lead them to take some action. Being perceived by people gives you an access to their brain, so you will have a chance to influence their decision making process.

When you create your content, imagine yourself addressing to one person, not a large audience, just like if you were explaining your friend about your product or service. You are not selling them, but sharing your enthusiasm in a friendly atmosphere about what does your product do.

If you are having some trouble with this, call your best friend, tell them about your business and record the conversation. This will make the whole process much more easy for you.

As long as you keep these things in mind and are able to create copy that is error free you ought to be able to convert more of your visitors into customers. The best way to become a great writer is to practice and make sure that you are always rewriting your work as your skills develop.

By applying these principles you will soon learn how a correctly made copy can promote your online business and increase your sales.

About the Author:

Are you frustrated because you spent a lot of money on SEO and creating a beautiful site, but are still not getting the customers you need? You may have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars by now and are about to give up because you are just not getting the sales and conversions you are looking for. Did you know that the reason for this is that pictures and SEO alone do not sell? So what does? Words sell, and that is why you need to read this article and learn the principles of creating content that will convert.

The most essential thing in creating a content that can sell is to understand a human behavior. People are mostly driven by their emotions when it comes to making decisions on purchasing something. First of all, they want to know what benefit can they obtain by using the product and how can it solve their problem?

Everyone says that their product is great – try to offer something more than that, on emotional level. Explain to people how they are going to feel when they will be using the product and what benefits the are going to get from it.

Secondly, try to get into peoples mind when you write a copy. This means that as they are reading your work they should be able to hear the words spoken inside their mind. Avoid being formal and complicated when you write, your text should be more like a conversation, as people will more easily perceive the information in this way.

Make sure you apply these principles when creating your own copy and dont be afraid to rewrite it as many times as you consider is needed. This is a right way to become a great writer and develop your writing skills.

By applying these principles you will soon learn how a correctly made copy can promote your online business and increase your sales.

Copywriting is more than just a couple of paragraphs. You need to know what to write about and how to write it. Copywriting is nothing but using words to promote a person, business, opinion or ideas. This may be used as plaint text, as a radio or television advertisement or in other Medias. Copywriting persuades or draws attention to whatever is being promoted. Good online copywriting invites a person to actually read the ad whereas bad copywriting can quickly be navigated away from.

Copywriting Tip #1 – Start with a Killer Headline

The first step in copywriting for the web is to write a killer headline. In many cases people who write good copy spend more time on the headline than any other part of the copy. Why? Well you want copy that is going to immediately grab the attention of the reader. If you have a headline that really doesn’t grab your attention, chances are that your reader is going to move on. You only have a few seconds to get the attention of the reader. With a killer headline, you can grab their attention and keep it through the rest of your copy.

Copywriting Tip #2 – Write to Your Target Audience

To instantly make your copy more reader-focused, insert the word “you.” Do they save her time or money? Tips on popular issues immediately draw readers’ attention. You can choose from among the many hot issues of the day. Use a headline that asks the prospect a question. The reason this is effective is because when you ask somebody a question, it almost forces them to answer it.

Copywriting Tip #3 – Talk “TO” the Reader

Always make sure that you talk directly “to” the reader. You want the reader to feel that you are speaking right to them. When someone makes a comment that is directed towards you, you pay attention. On the other hand, you can easily ignore something that is said to a group.

About the Author:

It’s a thin line that separates an amateur writer from a professional. Amateurs simply write to write. This can create loads of content, and maybe give them a feeling of satisfaction, but it accomplishes little to increase business or move a reader to action.

So what is the goal of great writing? Professional writers have one main goal in mind with their writing: to change their audience. Great writers try hard to help their audience see through different eyes, act differently, and change the way they interact with the world.

Just about anyone who’s made it past the 4th grade can slap a few words together and a complete sentence. (Need proof? Look at most blogs out there.) If you really want to have power in your writing, you have to write for impact. This is what separates educational from influential. Powerful writing can be had in three easy steps: 1) writing for a specific audience, 2) using the right medium, and 3) choosing the correct conversion.

Specific Audience

If you want to get in touch with your audience, it’s absolutely crucial you understand them. Get out of your own viewpoint, and write from their perspective. One of the first things I do with everything I write is identify my target audience. Consider things like age, gender, location, income level, purchasing habits, hobbies, talents, interests, etc.

Once I’ve nailed down the exact audience I’m trying to reach, and identified their characteristics, I craft a message specifically for them. Younger readers respond to words like revolutionary, cutting-edge, fresh, or innovative. Someone in the 60+ age category will be turned off immediately by such wording. They prefer safe, effective, and proven.

Right Location

Right medium means the location of your message. There are many different places you can publish, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. You can use magazines, newspapers, books, journals, even radio and TV. There are also blogs, websites, ezines and other online mediums, as well. Which medium you use is determined largely by your audience.

For example, let’s say I’m going after economists in an effort to influence economic policy. I wouldn’t really publish online. Material like this requires a substantial medium, such as an academic journal. In addition, a topic like this usually involves long, detailed text, not something easy to read on a computer screen.

A newspaper or magazine would not generally work in this instance either. There’s simply not enough space. However, if I am covering a topic that is short and sweet, it makes perfect sense to use newspapers.

Most people skim when they read (especially online.) But if you publish your message in a forum that is more suitable for what you reader expects, they’re much more likely to read it. You must consider the best medium for both your topic and readers.

Appropriate Conversion

The three main types of conversion are know, feel, and do. When you write a know piece, you’re seeking to inform the reader with new facts, or possible old facts arranged in a new light. You’re trying to help them learn. With a feel article, then point is to develop a strong emotional reaction from the reader. And with a do piece, you’re trying to get them to do something, to take some form of action.

An amateur, when they realize there are three forms, tries to cover all three in the same article. Big mistake. A pro will concentrate on only one outcome, because he or she knows that it will affect the other two. You should ask: How does the readers life change as a result of reading this article? What do I as the writer want to see happen to them? Do I want them to know, to feel, or to do something? Know that if you pick only one focus, and you write well, the rest will take care of itself.

To have maximum impact on your audience, you must write in a way that changes the reader. You must know who you reader is, and use the right medium to reach them. And you must pick only one conversion goal and write well. Because writing for change is the only words worth reading.

About the Author:

What separates a beginner from the pros? Amateur writers write just to write. While this may create tons of negligible content, (or offer them private enjoyment), it does nothing to help them get noticed, increase business, or move their audience to take action.

What’s the goal of great writing? The pros focus on one thing: to move the reader to change. A good writer can help the reader to see the world through another set of eyes. To act differently. And maybe even change the way they cooperate with the world.

Getting in touch with your target audience is vital. See things from their perspective and not your point of view. Every article I write starts with identifying my target reader: What is his age? What are her hobbies and interests? Education? Income level? Purchasing habits? Etc.

Right Medium

Using the correct medium simply means where your message is being communicated. Each medium has its own pros and cons. Magazines, newspapers, journals and books. Radio and television. Or even online mediums such as websites, ezines, or blogs. No matter which medium you prefer, it’s really the audience that determines the best course of action.

For instance, if I’m writing an article on monetary policy (my intended audience might be economists), the best venue is probably an academic journal rather than an online method. Few people can stand to read long blocks of important text on a computer screen without eye fatigue.

And I probably won’t have enough space to make my case in a magazines or newspaper. Alternatively, if my content is concise, uncomplicated, and intended for a broader audience, possibly a newspaper article makes sense.

Most people skim when they read (especially online.) But if you publish your message in a forum that is more suitable for what you reader expects, they’re much more likely to read it. You must consider the best medium for both your topic and readers.

Right Conversion

The three main types of conversion are know, feel, and do. When you write a know piece, you’re seeking to inform the reader with new facts, or possible old facts arranged in a new light. You’re trying to help them learn. With a feel article, then point is to develop a strong emotional reaction from the reader. And with a do piece, you’re trying to get them to do something, to take some form of action.

Amateurs look at this and try to do all three (When they even recognize it at all.) Professionals focus on only one, because doing so affects the others. How do you want the readers life to change because they read your message? What do you want to see occur in them? Do you primarily want them to know, feel, or do something? Pick one – yes, just one – and carry it out well, and the others will take care of themselves.

If you want your message to actually have impact, you must learn to write for change. Know whom you’re writing to, use the right location to reach them, and choose the right conversion and execute it well. After all, writing that changes you is the only writing worth reading.

About the Author:

When you will be asked to write your own press release, perhaps you will be filled with confusing thoughts as to how you will start it, what the format is like, or what the content will be. This is true most especially if it’s your first time on the task.

How does a press release is written? Is it formalistic or informal?

Arrange Your Composition Based on an Apt Guide

The most convenient approach is to abide in a sample release. Such serves as your basis in press release writing, which also helps in easing your doubts to what are required.

It will be best if you can get this from the release distribution site you will be using. Each site will differ slightly on their format; the essence though will always be the same.

Observe the release’s layout. Notice how the sentences and paragraphs are formed, and contemplate on what each paragraph is telling you.

Yours should follow the same, as it will be a standard that is to be used by those who will submit one.

If you do not adhere to the average format, then you are more likely to be rejected and you will not beget the desired space in some major publication or renowned website.

Take note of this, as many editors are strict when it comes to this. Most of the submissions that are not careful, will result to releases that go directly to the editors trash bin.

Standard press release example will be one format that has been proven through the years to be suitable for the purpose. There is an established pattern for this”so it is best to follow this.

You can put some touch of creativity in your writing to make it more interesting for your readers. But do so with care.

Normally, news releases are done formally. But for experienced writers, a bit of imagination and style may be well incorporated. If presented properly, surely it will be more fascinating.

This practice is not recommended for novices, otherwise the outcome will be unpleasant.

Though there is some leeway into how your writing goes, it will not be that much you can play with. So make good use of what little you can work with.

Sample Press Release: The Supreme Guide

Practice writing your own release after you have carefully examine a sample write-up.

Do not be miserable if in your initial attempt, you will not be able to get it right. In fact, you cannot perfect it right away. But if you have experienced writing it before or you are a certified passionate writer, possibly may be.

Just keep on polishing your writing ability to hone your skill even better. As a result, you will be able to produce more quality and significant stories. It sounds tough at first since you are uncertain yet on what to include and what to discard.

Along the way, you will recognize what words or sentences do not add value. You can cross this out. If it does not help in making a point, it can be eliminated.

See how press release samples are made and learn from them. Create your own release basing on these models. Find out how the words are formed to tell a worthwhile story. As an end result, you are bolstering your way to success.

About the Author:

When you will be asked to write your own press release, perhaps you will be filled with confusing thoughts as to how you will start it, what the format is like, or what the content will be. This is true most especially if it’s your first time on the task.

You may ask what the standard way of writing a release, or what form to take. Is it fine to present it in a conversational manner or formal writing?

Resemble Your Writing from a Distinguished Example

The easiest way to go about it would be to use a press release example as basis. This will erase all doubts as to what is required.

It will be best if you can get this from the release distribution site you will be using. Each site will differ slightly on their format; the essence though will always be the same.

Be observant of the layout and structure. Pay close attention to the headlines and the succeeding paragraphs. Note the content of each paragraph.

Yours should follow the same, as it will be a standard that is to be used by those who will submit one.

If you do not adhere to the average format, then you are more likely to be rejected and you will not beget the desired space in some major publication or renowned website.

Bear this in mind for there are actually editors who are strict with their policies. If you are not careful enough, your submitted release may just end up in the garbage can.

You will never go wrong if you take these release samples because these fitting tools are made with a set-up pattern.

It is all right to put in a little dash of ingenuity to your release if you want to give readers more reason to be enticed. But be very careful about it.

Formal writing is basically what a press release may be referred to. However, professional writers may create an interesting twist to their style by putting in additional flavor. If done right, readers will find it to be more appealing.

As mentioned, only seasoned writers can add more flavor to their writing and it is not advisable for the inexperienced for the results may just be unsubstantial.

Implement whatever it is that you can work with and put it into good use, for there may always be ways to develop your writing, still it may not be good enough.

Sample Press Release: The Supreme Guide

Practice writing your own release after you have carefully examine a sample write-up.

Dont worry too much on getting it right the first time”you will not. Not unless you have done this before, or if you have a knack for writing will you succeed at first try.

Continue on and keep on refining your writing to make your story brief and informative. No fluff. This will be a challenge at first, since you are not sure yet as to what will be included, and what will be discarded.

After a while, you will learn to point out which strikes a point and which does not. You may disregard words or lines that are of no value or are insignificant.

Take notice of how a release example is created. See how the words and sentences are connected, resulting to a valuable story. Mirror your style from such and you have are doing great favor for your business. That is, aggrandizing your chances to be successful.

We live in a world of flaccid me-too medical marketing, where doctors and corporate health care systems trade bragging rights over the latest amazing treatment or device. A world where TV and radio stations are more than happy to empty your wallet running ineffectual medical marketing that leaves ordinary people (you know, those people youd like to get as new patients) unconvinced. Or even worse, apathetic.

Are you searching for new ways to take your medical marketing materials to a new level? Maybe even prove to your administration that advertising really works? Incorporating a few ideas from late night infomercials might be just what you need. I’m not suggesting your healthcare system or medical practice start making commercials with giant flashing phone numbers and an announcer shouting “Call collect! Call direct!”. But if you want your next healthcare organization marketing plan to deliver results, it won’t hurt to take a few hints from marketers who live and die by results.

Time for a little truth telling: none of these tips are the holy grail of marketing. If you’re a student of marketing, it’s certain you’re aware of most, and maybe all of them. They are fundamental in many ways. But that’s what you do when your game is off — you go back and study the fundamentals. Take a look at these tips, and think about how you could use them to make your medical marketing more effective.

First of all, your patients only listen to one station: WIIFM. If you want new patients to pay attention and respond to your message, you’ve got to play it on their favorite station, WIIFM – What’s In It For Me. You’ve got to showcase the main advantage of your medical practice or healthcare system quickly, and just as quickly explain why it matters to them.

More You, Less We. Reduce the ‘WE’ (as in “WE now offer Cyborg Knife Gamma-Ray Surgery, the most cutting-edge surgery known to modern man.”) and replace it with more ‘YOU’ (as in “YOU will have a smaller incision, less pain, and a speedier recovery with Advanced Cyborg Knife Gamma-Ray Surgery.”). When you get people to picture how your health care system will make their life better, you’re well on your way to having a patient for life.

Words Matter. Keep your unique selling point short and powerful, use words that are easy for ordinary people to swallow. Then repeat as much as necessary for maximum results. This tip by itself will help you stand out from other health care marketers.

Use the Undeniable Force of a Dramatic Demonstration. This is a technique you see over and over again in DRTV and infomercials – a man soaking up a whole bottle of soda with a a high tech shammy, a formerly horrible golfer who can now drive a golf ball 300 yards, even the before and after pictures for weight loss products. The power of a dramatic demonstration cannot be overstated.

If Advanced Cyborg Knife Gamma-Ray Surgery results in a smaller incision and a virtually unnoticeable scar – show people how insignificant the scar will be. If it helps patients get back to their normal life quicker, show a patient on the golf course only a few days after surgery. Every Direct Marketer understands this simple fact: In the battle for mindshare, a dramatic demonstration is your secret weapon. It’s human nature.

In future articles I’ll share more Direct Response tips you can use to beef up your healthcare organization marketing plan. Right now I’ll leave you with a critical one: Don’t forget to tell people how you want them to respond – they’re going to want to respond, and you need to make it easy for them. If you want them to call and sign up for a free guide, or a no obligation health screening, tell them, and make sure they can read your phone number! Don’t try and hide it – make it easy to read, and leave it on screen long enough for Grandpa to walk to his desk, get a pencil and write it down. You know how you want people to respond to your advertising – make sure you they know. You’ve worked hard to make medical marketing materials with real impact, don’t lose it in the inches here.

About the Author:

Many copywriters have their own opinions about what absolutely must be included in each sales letter, and many have put their ideas into print.

In this article, I will explain what I believe are the four essential elements of sales copy. Others may argue that other elements are essential too; however I believe these to be the most important.

1. Your headline.

Your headline is easily the most critical part of your sales copy. I’ll explain this further.

Let’s think about this for a minute. Your headline “sets the boundaries” of the subject and intended reader of the letter. It has to give the reader a good idea of what to expect and “what’s in it for them” if they are to keep reading. If it fails to do this, the reader will most likely turn the page or click to the next website.

You can easily comprehend why it’s a good idea to make sure the headline is “just right”, no matter how long it takes.

2. Your offer.

What is being offered? If it’s not compelling to the reader… or not communicated in such as way as to seem compelling to the reader, the sales will be flat. The offer must be stated in terms important to the reader.

3. Testimonials.

Why use testimonials? It’s simple, really. The objective opinion of an outside party holds much more weight than that of you, the seller. It is ingrained in human nature to assume that people lie and exaggerate, and the right use of testimonials at least partially comes to your aid in this matter.

4. Dealing with objections.

This part of the sales letter is called by various titles, and here’s what they all mean. Let’s assume for a moment that we were to sell our product or service in person. If we did this, the majority of our prospects would have one or more reasons to delay a purchase, or worse, not purchase at all. To help guide them to a buying decision, those objections must be reasonably answered.

Selling in print works similarly, with this difference: copywriters do not have the chance to actually hear our prospect’s objections out loud and see their facial expressions. This is why we have to learn what the primary objections will be and craft our best responses to them ahead of time.

Final words.

Of course, these are not the only elements, or even the only essential elements. The bottom line is the headline, offer, testimonials, and handling objections are so important that the copywriter must make them as perfect as he or she can. The business owner has a role to play as well. By making a point to acquire quality testimonials and produce an in-demand product, the copywriter will be in a much better position to craft winning copy.

Copywriters need to modify their punctuation (slightly) for an online audience. That’s because computer screens are harder to read than printed pages (due to their lower resolution and flicker).

Use these three tips to make sure readers understand the meaning of your online content:

1. Use Punctuation Sparingly: Punctuation marks help organise ideas and control the flow of sentences. But they easily get lost on-screen because they’re small.

That’s the reason why you should use punctuation sparingly online. Some tricks include using short sentences and short paragraphs. Arrange information into lists if possible. Ask yourself, “Can I get away without this punctuation?”

2. Don’t Use Semi Colons: I recommend you avoid using semi colons in online copywriting, because they are easily mistaken for colons.

According to the grammar books, the correct usage of a semi colon is to join two independent clauses into a compound sentence. E.g. “It’s nearly midnight; the restaurants will probably be closed.”

On the web you’re better off using a period (full stop) or an em-dash (long hyphen). For example: “It’s nearly midnight. The restaurants will probably be closed.” or “It’s nearly midnight ? the restaurants will probably be closed.”

Also, it’s better to use em-dashes instead of hyphens in website copy. Hyphens are small. So they can more easily be overlooked than longer em-dashes.

3. Check Your Copy Offline: To make the best impression on your website visitors, your website copy must be free of grammatical and spelling errors. Typos and poor English can easily turn customers away.

So make sure you run your content through a spell checker before you upload it to your website. Then print it out and get a colleague or friend to proof read it. Once it’s live, you should check the content again on-screen.

In this article, I will explain what I believe are the four essential elements of sales copy. Others may argue that other elements are essential too; however I believe these to be the most important.

1. Your headline.

The headline is the most important element of any sales letter. Here’s why.

You can see why many copywriters spend more time on the headline than on any other part of the sales letter.

2. Your offer.

What is being offered to prospects? If that in itself is not attractive to the prospect, or even if it’s not positioned in such a way that makes them see why they would want it, you will be disappointed in your sales. Quite simply, the offer has got to be done right.

3. Testimonials.

With certain exceptions, for the most part testimonials are one of the foundations of a solid sales letter. People generally place much more weight on hearing some one else say how great you or your product are, and the judicious use of testimonials merely reflects that understanding of human nature.

Selling in print is no different, and reality carries more importance for meeting objections than face-to-face sales. The reason is simple: as copywriters, we will not have the opportunity to answer our prospects’ objections individually. We must therefore proactively predict their objections and meet them head-on.

Summary.

I am fully aware that these four elements alone do not a sales letter make. However, the copywriter would do well to spend the majority of time on these particular elements. They will “make or break” the sales letter. The business owner can make the process much easier by collecting good testimonials and by creating excellent products that his or her target market is actively seeking.

The essence of grammar and punctuation is to facilitate communication. This is as true on the web as it is in print. But due to their lower resolution and flicker, computer screens are harder to read than printed pages. So some punctuation should be modified to increase readability online.

Here are three tips to help online readers better understand the meaning of your website copy:

1. Use Minimal Punctuation: Punctuation marks control the flow of sentences and help organise ideas. But because they’re so tiny they can easily get lost on-screen.

So I recommend using punctuation in moderation online. Format information into lists if possible. Use short sentences and short paragraphs.

2. Lose the Semi Colons: Don’t use semi colons when writing website content. They’re too easily mistaken for colons. (And most people don?t understand them anyway.)

According to the grammar books, the correct usage of a semi colon is to join two independent clauses into a compound sentence. E.g. “It’s nearly midnight; the restaurants will probably be closed.”

In online writing you are better off using a period (full stop) or an em-dash (long hyphen). For example: “It’s nearly midnight. The restaurants will probably be closed.” Or “It’s nearly midnight ? the restaurants will probably be closed.”

It’s also better to use em-dashes instead of hyphens in website copy. Because hyphens are small they can more easily be overlooked than the longer em-dash.

3. Check Your Copy Offline: To make the best impression on your website visitors, your website copy must be free of grammatical and spelling errors. Typographical errors and poor English can easily turn off potential customers.

So make sure you do a spell check of your copy in a word processor before you upload it to your website. It’s also a good idea to print it out and get a colleague to proof read it. Once the content is live, you should check it again on-screen.

Most of those offers are likely to include software programs or e-books. In a way, some products are considered ?well kept secrets,? if you are interested in profiting from one of those secrets, you are advised to examine private adjudge articles and the resell rights that you can purchase for them.

Many of these writers enjoy writing the articles, but they do not enjoy trying to sell them. That is where the resell right opportunity develops. In today?s world, websites need to have interesting content, often in the form of articles. Search engine ranking is important because, in a way, it determines how many internet users will be healthy to make it to the site. Depending on the type of website in question, a high search engine ranking may help a webmaster acquire more money.

There is also a chance that you are concerned with selling the content. The internet is full of duplicated content and many webmasters prefer to purchase their own unique articles, but that does not mean that you cannot give them what they want. When a freelance writer places their article resell rights up for sale, many writers are giving up ownership to those articles. In a way, those articles become yours. This means that you should be able to alter them in anyway that you see fit. The more you alter an article, bit by bit each time, the more you can sell it as unique content.

Once you have obtained the resell rights to a collection of articles, you can then begin to shop for buyers. There are a number of different ways that you can do this. You can also advertise a collection of articles through online classified ads or by placing them for understanding on online auction websites. The method of understanding you choose will all depend on how much you want to work and how much money you want to make.

To make the most out of this opportunity, you are urged to act fast. It won?t be too long before others realize what a money making opportunity it is to buy and resell private adjudge articles.

Baffled by the label “copywriting”? You might be wondering, “what does copying have to do with writing, anyway?”

The simplest way to answer that question is this: every writer borrows from other writers; that is, no one starts completely from scratch. Advertising writer are just more upfront about the process.

Think about the purpose of advertising: to trigger emotional responses in the prospect; move them to make a specific action.

Copywriters recognize that human beings are complex. Exactly what motivates us to take action is often unclear.

Copywriters will usually start with an advertising piece that they know is effective, and will borrow elements. Every area of a sales letter is modeled from an earlier, successful piece, starting with the headline.

A classic headline from the previous century went like this: “They Laughed When I Sat Down At The Piano, But When I Began To Play…”. This particular headline has been the basis of hundreds of later headlines. Why is it effective? There are at least two emotionally charged ideas present, and probably more. The skilled writer knows what tool is required to achieve a certain effect, and moreover knows how to use it.

There are certain elements usually present in well-written headlines.

Numbers can be an effective means to draw the reader in. For example, headline writers will often refer to “The Five Steps You Must Take…” or the “Seven Tricks…”. The human mind appears to love specific numbers.

Another widely used technique is the word “secrets” or some variation. This idea is used in at least two senses. First, people in general love the idea of gaining secret knowledge that will give them an advantage over others. Second, on the flip side of the coin, people don’t like the idea of others having this same secret knowledge and keeping an advantage over themselves. Kevin Trudeau has largely built his publishing career on just this notion (big companies and the government are deliberately keeping information from you).

My final “widely-copied element” mention today is the use a story in a headline. It only takes a few words to tell a story. The famous “One Legged Golfer” headline is based on a completely true story. I’ll point out that true stories are often the best.

With these elements together, we could come up with a headline like this:

“Blind Welfare Mother of Three Discovers the 5 Hidden Secrets To Opening a Checking Account, Even If You’re On ChexSystems ‘Black List’ “.

I hope this article has helped you see that when copywriters “copy”, they are merely borrowing ideas, not the actual words of other writers.

About the Author:

Have you ever wondered what a Copywriter does? It’s not a secret. If a copywriter persuades you to take a desired action, he or she has done their job.

The copywriter we speak of here might be you (the business owner), a staff copywriter, or a freelancer that you have hired.

The specific action could be to purchase your product, or in some way invest in your service. It could also be to sign up for a free report or software in return for their name and email address. In any case, the copywriter always presents the reader with options and asks them to make a choice.

What is really going on here? We might sum it up as: persuasion. Be aware that this ‘persuasion’ is simply not what people often think. It is easy to assume that copywriters employ ‘tricks’ to coax people out of their money. Consider looking at it this way instead: competent and ethical copywriters utilize copywriting techniques for the purpose of convincing the reader to act in their own best interest… to do what they would anyway if “they had all the facts”.

What sorts of choices do we generally want our readers to make?

Well, the simplest action of a copywriter, the one that takes the least amount of effort, is to persuade a reader to make a choice indicative of their interests. An example may be reading an articles, or downloading a program.

The next action requiring more effort would be persuading that same reader to give his name and email address in exchange for your free opportunity. These days those that surf the web are generally rather reluctant to give out their email address. Fortunately, the good news is, if you can convince this person to do it, you will know three things. Firstly, you successfully targeted the right market. Secondly, that you are communicating with them on the same channel. And thirdly, they deem your item as valuable.

However, things rise to a whole new level when it’s time to convince them to spend their money. However, the whole point of business is to sell, so keep in mind when crafting a sales letter that it is but a category of sales presentation.

The basic process is this: describe the offered product and the benefits of said service or product, give answers to the common objections prospective buyers have, and tell how to buy. Through the entirety of this, the writer should always use terminology familiar to the prospect and also remove any obstacles (unnecessary or poor-worded phrases which will cause the reader to disbelieve what you are saying or even stop reading).

Smart marketers know that persuasion does not end when the buying decision is made. Not at all. The prospect must now be persuaded to type in their credit card information and then to confirm the order. After the order is made, customers commonly experience what is known as “buyer’s remorse” and so experienced marketers employ ethical tactics to show that the customer made the right decision.

The job of a copywriter is practically paramount in business today, so whether you, as a business owner, decides to do it himself or leave it to someone else, it’s essential.

About the Author:

Are you a freelance writer looking for work? In the Untied States, there are thousands, if not millions, of individuals who are making a career as a freelance writer. The only problem with this is that there are a limited number of money making opportunities. As the internet has increased in popularity, so have the number of ways that clients are able to obtain content for their websites. If you find yourself looking for ways to pay your bills, you may want to examine private label articles and what they can do for you.

When you create private label articles, you will not need to have a client. Instead of being told what to write, you can write on any topic that you desire. However, as you are most likely already aware of, it is best to write articles on popular topics. Website owners are the most common buyers of content articles. This is because original content may help to increase their search engine rankings, increase their website?s visitor count, and make their website more interesting. In most cases, website owners only purchase content that is popular at the moment. That is why it is a good idea to make sure you are writing marketable articles.

Traditionally, after you write your own articles, you will begin searching for a buyer. If you have already tried selling your articles this way, you are probably aware that it is not as cushy as it sounds. Finding buyers will not only take time, but it may also take money. In the past, if you didn?t have time or money you would be out of luck. Now, you can allow others to sell your content for you. This is done by making the private adjudge resell rights to your content acquirable for purchase.

With private label resell rights, someone will buy the resell rights to your articles, often in large quantities. It will then be their responsibility to market and sell them. Depending on the agreement you and the buyer make, the buyer may be able to claim the content as their own. In addition to claiming your content, they may also be able to alter it. If you do not want your content altered, you will just have to outline it as a stipulation in the user agreement.

When offering your article rights up for sale, your first thought may be to keep everything the same, including your name as the author. While there are advantages to doing this, it may have an impact on how much you are able to sell your resell rights for. Many buyers prefer purchasing a product, including content articles, which they can not only alter, but claim as their own. By allowing this to take place, you should be able to charge more money for the resell rights.

If you are interested in selling the resell rights to your content, you will have to find a prospective buyer. This is often compared to finding a buyer for your own articles, but it is often easier. As soon as you make your opportunity available, you should begin to see results. This results will often be inquires or sample requests. If a prospective buyer is pleased with what they see, they may agree to purchase the private adjudge resell rights to your content; thus ending your responsibility.

If you are unable to sell the rights to your private label articles you can then return to what you were doing before. They buy a large volume of articles. If you do find success, as many writers have, you don?t have to stop there. You could continue to write content articles only to sell their resell rights. In fact, if you had a successful relationship with a previous buyer, there is a good chance that the buyer may return for more of your handcrafted articles.

Some may be rather confused by the word “copywriting”. After all, what does copying have to do with writing?

Here’s perhaps the simplest way to answer the question. All writers borrow; no one starts just from scratch. Copywriters are merely more upfront about it.

Think about the purpose of advertising: to trigger emotional responses in the prospect; move them to make a specific action.

Copywriter know the human beings are complex. Just what causes us to take action isn’t always clear.

Copywriters will usually start with an advertising piece that they know is effective, and will borrow elements. Every area of a sales letter is modeled from an earlier, successful piece, starting with the headline.

A classic headline from the last headline went like this: “They Laughed When I Sat Down At The Piano, But When I Began To Play…”. This headline has been the basis of hundreds of hundreds of later headlines. Why is it effective? Because there are emotionally charged ideas present. The skilled writer knows how to use this.

It’s usually the case that certain elements are present in successful headlines.

Sometimes numbers are used as an effective means to draw the reader in, like in headlines like, “The Five Steps You Must Take…” and “Seven Tricks…”. The human mind sometimes loves specific numbers.

Another widely used technique is the word “secrets” or some variation. This idea is used in at least two senses. Second, on the flip side of the coin, people don’t like the idea of others having this same secret knowledge and keeping an advantage over themselves. Kevin Trudeau has largely built his publishing career on just this notion (big companies and the government are deliberately keeping information from you).

The final widely-copied element I’ll mention today is the use of a story in a headline. Yes, you can tell a “story”, or hint at one, with just a few words. One of the most famous (and effective) is the “One Legged Golfer” headline. It’s an absolutely true story, and I’ll point out that the best stories are often stories from real life.

If we were to put these three elements together, we could write a headline like the following:

“Blind Welfare Mother of Three Discovers the 5 Hidden Secrets To Opening a Checking Account, Even If You’re On ChexSystems ‘Black List’ “.

I hope this article has been helpful, and that you see that when copywriters “copy”, they are borrowing ideas, not actual words of other writers.

About the Author:

At any given moment in time, there are a number of individuals who are searching the internet in hopes of finding a legitimate money making opportunity. Many of those individuals are at-home parents, others are retired, and some just want to find a better opportunity. If you are interested in making money, in a relatively easy way, you are advised to further examine private label resell rights. It may very well be the opportunity that you have been searching for.

Private label resell rights are typically offered by the product?s creator. Although these individuals may have the time and the knowledge needed to create new products, most do not have the time or the knowledge to sell those products. Instead of selling their own products, many rely on others to do the selling for them. When you obtain the resell rights to a private label product, you are buying the rights to resell that product. These products most commonly include software programs and e-books, but they are not limited to just those products. After the transaction has taken place, you will then be responsible for selling the product. In fact, you will make money from each sale that you successfully process.

If obtaining the private adjudge resell rights to a particular product sounds like an amazing business opportunity, you may be right. However, with all other business opportunities, it is important to remember one thing; not all opportunities work for everyone. This means that although someone you know may be healthy to turn a profit buying the resell rights to an e-book or a software program, you may not necessarily be healthy to. Before investing in a private adjudge product, not matter what that product is, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the advantages and disadvantages of private adjudge resell rights. This step is important to determining whether or not this business opportunity can help you make money online.

In some cases, you are even allowed, and maybe even required, to alter the work, but then you can claim it as your own. This means that overnight you literally could become a freelance writer or a software developer.

Another advantage to private label resell rights it the flexibility you will have. Each time you sell the product, which you have acquired the resell rights you, you will make money. The amount of money you make will all depend on how many hours you work. These hours could be as much or as little as you want. In fact, many private label resell buyers are able to make money selling their products with only working a few hours a week.

To make money, you must able to find a product that will sell. Unfortunately, too many resell right buyers do not research a product before buying it. Those individuals usually end up losing money because they purchased a product that was poor in quality or one that couldn?t sell. Of course, this disadvantage doesn?t have to be one. All you need to do is research each product before agreeing to purchase it. This research should enable to make money, not lose it.

The above mentioned advantages and disadvantage, to buying private adjudge resell rights, are just a few of the many. Despite the fact that there are additional advantages and disadvantages, most people find that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages; thus, making this a profitable business venture.

Hypnotic writing… you’ve heard of it, right? You’ve heard how it can magically steal money right out of peoples’ wallets? I intend to demolish some myths surrounding hypnotic writing and share with you what it CAN do.

For any given marketing campaign there are 3 components seasoned marketers know determine the outcome: the list, the offer and the copy.

The group of people you’re marketing to is obviously the list. The best list is always the in-house one you created yourself. Those are the people you have an ongoing relationship with and will be more likely to give a look to whatever you send. It’s possible that you have more than one list belonging to more than one market.

Whatever you’re promoting is the offer. It make a substantial difference if you offer pet supplies to an inappropriate list of coffee affectionados. If you offered a pet product to a pet list you still need to make sure the rest of your offer is good. How’s the product? The price? The payment options? In addition to the list and offer, you need…

Good copy. If you try to sell a good product to the right people but they can’t understand why they should buy it, they probably won’t (some usually do anyway if your list is good enough). That’s where hypnotic writing comes in.

Many people think hypnosis is about tricking people while they’re asleep… or something like that. Hypnosis is simply a state of heightened awareness. That awareness is usually inwardly focused though which is why people trance out. Hypnosis can help people make changes under certain circumstances. You can’t make anyone do anything they would be against while awake.

Modern hypnosis works because it gently makes suggestions that allow the subconscious to do what the conscious wanted it to do. Can hypnotic writing then make it easier for people to buy? Definitely… as long as that’s what they otherwise would want to do. If you do manage to trick people into buying, you’ll have more than your fair share of returns and angry ex-customers. Obviously that’s not good for long term business.

Make sure you’re using hypnotic writing ethically and you’ll boost your revenues. As long as the list and the offer are there more cash can start flowing your way.

Do your customers usually have an easy time flowing with your company?

I volunteer with an organization that allows me to create and promote incentives and competitions for members to be recognized.

We were have a hard time deciding how the points should add up for one promotion. One opinion was to count all things equally while another said more difficult items should get more subjective credit.

The point I was making was that we had to make it fair or people wouldn’t do it. We ended up deciding to keep the judging subjective. Several experienced members would subjectively weigh all the criteria against each other and pick a relative winner.

Flow experiences are the intersection of skills and challenges. If your skills are high and the challenge is low, you may get bored. If your skills are low and the challenge is high, you may get anxious. Flow is the happy medium between the two extremes where high skill and high challenge intersect.

For a challenge to flow, the rules must be established and easy enough for people to navigate. If you think about any sporting event, that’s what allows it to be recognized as a challenge. Otherwise it’s just a bunch of guys fighting over a ball without a point. And if you don’t know the rules, that’s probably what it looks like to you.

For the member promotion example I mentioned, the rules have to not only be clear but they have to be fair. No one is going to play a game where the outcome isn’t predictable with some amount of certainty. It’s difficult to get into a flow state that with a poorly defined challenge.

The marketing application is that your message will be most effective when it helps create a flow experience for your prospect. Your ideal customer will be one who is at the skill level to recognize the solution your product offers.

Most people are looking for more flow experiences in their lives. Offer that and you’ll have no end of customers.

Do you have a website? If so, you absolutely need traffic.

What is website traffic? Website traffic is actual people browsing your site. Many people have spent good money for the nicest-looking site with all the latest bells and whistles, but lack the visitors that actually generate cash from that site. This is just like building a Walmart, with all the items in stock and employees on staff, and placing in the middle of the Sahara desert.

There are numerous methods for getting traffic to your site. If you are in a hurry, the two methods I explain below should get your special attention.

The first method you should consider is borrowing traffic. If at first you’re unsure if this method will work for you, please carefully consider it because it can be a very powerful means for getting new leads. The basic idea is for another website owner to suggest that his or her readers look at your offer. Generally, you will need to pay a commission or referral fee to encourage this action on the part of the website owner.

This method works for at least two reasons. First, someone else has gone to the trouble of identifying people interested in a particular topic, saving you the time and expense of locating the same. Second, you are “borrowing” the credibility of the person who refers people to you. Think about this for a minute. When making a buying decision, whether for a film, restaurant, or clothing store, do you rely more upon traditional advertising or do you prefer to get recommendations from friends and trusted acquaintances? The answer for most is the latter.

The “borrowing traffic” method can generally be performed without upfront cash, though you will have to pay a percentage of sales.

The next fast-traffic method we’ll discuss is paid advertising. There are several types of paid advertising, and the very first you should consider is pay-per-click advertising. Google’s Adwords program is the easiest to begin with, and eventually you will want to research using Yahoo and MSN as well. Pay-per-click advertising’s great benefit is the ability to hone in one certain keywords that people are looking for, and as an added bonus, you can start getting traffic in 10 minutes or less.

This method of advertising is attractive for numerous reasons. Chief of these is the ability to match the words people are searching for with your particular ad. Another great benefit is you can track many aspects of your pay-per-click campaigns.

This method does mean you will pay before making sales, although Google probably won’t charge your credit card until the end of the month. As a caution, in the beginning you will want to monitor your Adwords account often to make sure you are not spending more than you intended.

We have only covered two methods of generating traffic to your site. In future articles, we will cover many more.

Sometimes it’s better to focus on the positive even if there isn’t much there.

When you have a choice, it’s usually better to tell people what they can do rather than can’t. Here are three examples:

Jamie Smart of Salad Seminars wrote an e-book titled, “The Top Ten Secrets of Instant Wealth.” If I hadn’t recently got some flash cards from Salad, I probably wouldn’t have given it a second thought.

The book talks about using better questions for wealth. Rather than seeing something and saying, “I can’t afford it,” he suggests asking, “How can I afford it?” When the glass is half full, it significantly affects your expectations and outcomes.

The second example is that I sometimes see marketers bad mouth “hypnotic techniques.” Here’s a quote from an article in the Early to Rise e-zine (July 31st Issue):

“Don’t try to be a copywriter. Just explain what you’ve got and why anyone should care – and then just get out of the way.

“In other words, don’t mess around with mystical, manipulative tactics that are supposed to magically vacuum money out of your prospects’ wallets while they grin stupidly in a hypnotic trance.

“Just talk to people. Be interesting. Be respectful of their time. Share value. Make your pitch. And shut up.”

No doubt the point the author was trying to make was to avoid the mistake of sounding like you’re trying too hard or using hype. He’s telling you to do exactly what a copywriter does while starting by telling you not to try to be a copywriter.

The take away from that is that the writer must not know how to use hypnotic language patterns. There’s more opportunity then for those of us that do.

This post was prompted this last example. I went to see a movie at our IMAX last week. The theater is inside a state history museum. While everyone was waiting in line, one of the museum employees made an announcement with an interesting one tenth full twist.

He announces that food and drinks will be allowed in the theater as long as they were water with screw top bottles and candy bars still sealed in their wrappers. There’s no doubt that this approach was better received than telling people that no food or drinks were allowed except bottled water.

It reminds me of the saying attributed to Henry Ford that you could have any color of Model-T car as long as it was black.

I found that approach humorous and effective. That was actually much less than one tenth full but you get the point… give people permission as much as possible for best results.

Without effective ad copy, your product or service wont seem valuable to the person that it was designed for your target consumer demographic. Ads that lack basic essential information dont contain any photos or graphics, or ads that overwhelm the online user with excessive graphics that take forever to load are the ads that are overlooked. Dont let your ad be one of them keep reading for tips on writing ad copy that sells.

What is your target demographic? In other words, who are you trying to sell to? If you are trying to convince people to stay at your bed and breakfast, in other words, you will probably focus on its proximity to beaches, attractions, and specials that you may be running, such as free meals for children, if you are trying to target vacationing families. If you are trying to persuade couples to spend their honeymoon or romantic getaway at your bed and breakfast, you will want to emphasize other things, such as complimentary room service, themed room packages, etc.

Every ad should contain essential things such as the name and address of your business, what exactly you are offering to the consumer in the way of products or services, and contact information. Some advertisers focus so much on flashy graphics and custom design that they actually neglect, or neglect to accurately explain these things and lose business because of it. Remember, it is better to have a simple ad with concise ad copy than a flashy ad with poorly written copy.

The first sentence of your ad is crucial, as is your title. Both serve as the initial impression that readers will have of your product or service and will either hook the reader in or drive them away. Ask questions, both in your title and in the first sentence of your ad. Looking For An Affordable Fast Food Alternative? Tired Of Hotels With Hidden Charges? You get the idea.

The rest of your ad should highlight the products and services that you offer, and provide some incentive to the consumer for trying them. Dont worry if you dont get very many responses to your initial ad post. Many people find that they have to create several test ads before they find the one that works best for them.

I believe one of the best copywriters who ever lived was Gary Halbert. He wrote some of the most profitable letters and space ads on history. And, on top of all that, he was a fantastic teacher of copywriting as well.

Gary was all about leveraging resources to make life easy. For instance, imagine you decide to write a book about getting healthy and fit.

How could you make things easy on yourself?

Should you study weight loss science? Should you spend years doing clinical trials? Should you roam the world looking for the perfect diet plan or diet pill? Well not really. Because there is a much easier way to access the most cutting edge weight loss science, clinical trials and new diet breakthroughs. Without doing all the work yourself. Curious? Then listen to this.

Forget about all that work. It won’t pay off any more than taking the easy road. Gary’s advice would probably be to acquire all of the best books and report written about horse racing. The hot selling ones. Read them and note all of the exciting little secrets horse racing fans want to know.

Take your notes and write that report on horse racing. And this report will contain the best of the best tips, secrets and tricks that you took out of the books and reports you read. The final result is a valuable report packed with great information horse racing fans will love.

That’s the way to do it.

You can do the same thing when creating advertising. In fact, this works great if you have to craft a sales message on the fly for any kind of media.

What we’re talking about here is referred to as swiping in advertising circles. The process simplifies everything for the ad writer. Halbert was big on swiping. He taught it during a copywriting seminar in the mid 1990’s. Almost the entire even was about the process of how to swipe to create your own profitable ads.

Look, if you don’t want to become a top notch copywriter and don’t have time to learn all the formulas, etc. then swiping is the way to go. All you have do is learn how to do it right.

Learn to swipe and life gets easier when preparing ads…

** You’ll eliminate writer’s block forever. Because now youll access a starting point for your ads. You wont be guessing at what to write. The swipes reveal exactly what to write in your ads to make them effective and responsive.

** Ad writing will be much faster. All you do is model your ad after the swipe. Therefore, the guessing element is taken out of the equation. It’s like using a proven template to write your ads.

** The ads you write could be three times more responsive. Think about it. You are essentially modeling success. When you do that success is on your side.

Don’t even think about writing another ad before you have a swipe at your side.

Have you heard about the psychological principle of commitment and consistency?

If not, heres what it boils down to:

Once an individual commits to an action (no matter how small) that individual feels compelled to continue to act consistently with that initial action.

But so what? How can you use commitment and consistency to get paid what you’re really worth for the service you provide?

There are many ways.

But heres one easy-peasy way I#ve used the commitment & consistency principle with a prospective client.

The prospective client contacted me and said he was eager to hire me for my copywriting services but wouldnt be able to get together my fee for another 4-weeks or so.

He said, “Is that cool?”

I said, “Sure, but I am extremely busy and so if you want me to take you seriously theres a couple things you need to do:

1). Ship me the product you want me to write for.

2). Send me a cheque for 20 pounds but DONT make it out to my name. Instead make it out to charity of my choosing; and I’ll forward the cheque on to the charity on your behalf.”

Why do this?

Not because I wanted to look through his product (12 Internet Marketing DVDs) while awaiting my copywriting fee to arrive.

Also, notice I didn’t ask him to make out a cheque in my name. That would have made me look like a money hungry cheapskate. Instead, I asked him to make it out to a local charity I support.

So, let’s examine what happened:

I got him to commit to hiring me by sending me his product.

I also got him to commit to hiring me by sending a nominal amount of 20 pounds – which I forwarded onto a charity. This also leads to the consistency principle of him sending me my copywriting fee (i.e., I got him into the process of sending me money).

Also, by saying the money was going to a charity – it made it very difficult for the prospective client to decline without losing face. As my fee for his project was into the thousands of pounds; if he backed out from sending 20.00 he’d “show his hand” (by his actions) that he wasnt a serious prospect.

Long story short

The prospective client DID happily ship his product and donation to the charity of my choosing; he DID hire me; he DID pay my full fee; and he WAS happy with the results my copywriting produced for him.

I think the above demonstrates a good lesson for any coach / copywriter / consultant etc., whose been let down by prospective clients who say theyre serious but -

Play you like a fool.

The solution:

Get them to send you a cheque (for a small amount of your fee) made out to a local charity of your choice.

That will be like a “lie test” you can use on any prospective client who says they’re serious about hiring you but it will be a while before they can get the money together to pay your fee.

Try it and see!

Anyway hope you start to think about how you can use the psychological principle of commitment and consistency to your advantage to get paid in your business.

Warmly,

Michael Silk. The Cash Flow Generator.

The Internet has created a lot of new opportunities for freelance copywriters. Copywriters looking to make more money should check out freelance copywriting. Freelance copywriting not only frees you from the confinements of a full-time job, it also allows you to dictate your workload, schedule, and paycheck.

Copywriting requires some skill; you must understand your audience, which marketing avenues effectively reach them, and you have to be able to write something that actually sells your product. Many copywriters go to seminars, attend workshops, and do personal research in order to help improve their copywriting abilities.

Freelance copywriters have a lot of opportunities that other copywriters do not. Some of the most profitable freelancing fields are in the world of commerce, web marketing, publishing houses, online services, advertising companies, direct response ad campaigns, and many others. Freelance copywriters are hired on a project-to-project basis by companies in these fields to help sell their products more effectively.

SOME POINTERS ON BECOMING A FREELANCE COPYWRITER

Freelance copywriters can hand pick their projects, thereby maximizing their skill set and bringing in a greater income. Many experts think that freelancing gives you more freedom than most other occupations.

You must know how to give your customers what they want in a the most effective and creative manner. Here are a few pointers if you’re considering starting a new freelancing career:

1. Set some goals. It is important to set some tangible and attainable goals before you set out as a freelance copywriter. This way you have a target to shoot for and a practical way of measuring your success. Try to develop a business plan that helps you utilize your skills and achieve your goals.

2. Build a portfolio. Your portfolio is your resume in the freelancing world. It shows potential clients your past work and what they can expect from you. It should have examples of your best work, a sales letter explaining why you’re the best for the job, and testimonials from past clients. Your portfolio needs to be neat, organized, and professional looking.

3. You should also have a website. A website allows clients to easily access your portfolio and see your work. Websites give your clients something tangible to examine as they consider your bid, which increases your chances of winning the project. Also, for whatever reason, many copywriters do not have a website, which gives you an edge over some of your competition.

4. Create good relations with your clients. People like to feel like they are working with a real person, which is a feeling that is diminished when working on the Internet. There is very little person-to-person contact, so you must make an effort to build good working relationships with your clients. The more a client knows you, the more likely they are to hire you again and refer other people to you.

If you find out that you live near your client, let them know that you’re available to meet in person if they like. Also let them know that you are always available if they need to contact you with any questions or concerns. Make yourself personable, the more you seem like a real person to your clients, the greater the success you will see in your business.

5. Don’t be afraid to educate your client. You must listen to your client and mold what they want with what will actually sell their product. It is important to remember that you are the expert and that they have hired you to sell their product. Their ideas may not sell their product, so try to gently educate them on how you think their product should be marketed. Don’t be rude, instead, considerately explain why you think your ideas will more effectively sell their product.

These were just a few ideas to help you get started thinking about your new freelancing career. Hopefully you found this article helpful. Freelance copywriting allows you to choose when you work, where you work, and how much you work. You can’t find that kind of freedom in too many other jobs. Freelancing is a very liberating and exciting career.

About the Author:

The opportunities afforded to freelance copywriters are attracting a lot of attention these days. If freelance copywriting interests you, then you should take a look at what it takes to be a freelance copywriter.

1. Learn when to say “no.” Freelance copywriters have to know when to say “no.” At times you will have to say “no” to new projects because your schedule won’t allow for more work, and knowing when that point has come is very important. Otherwise you can jeopardize your entire business by taking on too much work and inhibiting yourself from meeting your deadlines. Other times you have to say “no” to the suggestions your clients offer. Remember that you are the advertising expert and they are not, that is why they are hiring you. You must be able to say “no” and offer a better alternative in a gentle way.

Sometimes though, clients won’t budge and either you have to compromise without surrendering or get out of the project. Managing persistent clients will help ease your work experience, but sometimes you just have to get out of a situation. Otherwise your job will be very unpleasant. Some clients just aren’t worth the time or trouble.

2. You should also be polite, persistent, and positive. You need to always communicate with your clients professionally and listen to their desires intently. You must persistently stand by your ideas on how to sell your clients’ products, and you must also look for work vigilantly.

3. Educate yourself. There are always new things to learn and the most successful copywriters see themselves as lifelong students. Learning new ways of writing copy will help your business stay competitive. There is plenty of material out there, so go ahead and start learning.

4. Remember to relax. Most people switch to freelancing to escape their stressful work environment, so it doesn’t make much sense to make your new work environment as equally as stressful! So make sure that you relax, put it in your schedule if you must, but just make sure to do it. Consistent relaxation also helps you write better and faster. So in the end, you’ll be happier and more productive if you take time to relax.

5. Have fun even if the going gets tough. If you’re going to be successful, you have to love your profession, so start learning how to keep a positive attitude now. If you let the stress of your work consume you, you will eventually burn out and miss out on the amazing opportunities in freelance copywriting.

6. Take time for your personal life. A successful businessperson also has a life outside of their work. You need to nurture your personal life for your emotional health, not to mention your friends’ and family’s emotional health as well. Even though you’re making a career transition to make more money, your personal life is the most important part of whom you are. What gain is there if you spend your whole life making money but have no one to share it with? In the midst of growing your business, don’t lose sight of the greater things in life.

7. Practice good work ethics. It is really important to be a person of honesty and integrity. Only make promises you know you can keep and don’t cheat your clients. Let them know if you’re falling behind and won’t be able to make good on your end of the agreement. And never compromise on your morals in order to secure financial gain.

8. Be a good businessperson. Freelance copywriters run their own businesses and therefore have to manage their business well. Make sure to read-up on operating a small business and learn about your rights as a small business owner.

Be up to date on the most recent ethical standards, laws, and tax reforms. Make sure you’re also aware of the current pricing structures. Learn new effective ways of negotiating and looking for better ways to keep your business organized.

9. Never take a rejection personally. This is a business and your self worth should never be wrapped up in what you do. Try and maintain a level of professionalism and don’t take rejection personally. There are plenty of reasons someone might pick another copywriter over you that have nothing to do with your ability to write good copy.

10. Never miss a deadline. As a freelance copywriter you cannot afford to miss deadlines. Failing to miss deadlines will severely hurt the success of your business, so make sure to manage your time well.

Hopefully this article helped you better understand the word of freelance copywriting. There is plenty of information out there if you’re interested in learning more about freelance copywriting.

Copywriters work in a multitude of markets, such as: television, radio, magazines, brochures, direct mail ad campaigns, and many others. In fact, copywriters probably wrote most of the written content of the ads you see. It has been said that copywriters are merely salesmen behind typewriters; they write the written content of advertisements. Up until this point, copywriters were normally employed by advertising agencies or kept in-house by other companies. Now, with the advent of the Internet, copywriters are able to freelance their services and make more money doing it.

Freelance copywriters can customize their work to their lives. Most of the time you’re restricted to a regular work schedule and have to split your profits with your parent company. On the other hand, as a freelancer you are your own boss and completely dictate your work experience. You can determine when you work, how much you work, and the size of your paycheck. You can also work from anywhere in the world that has an Internet connection. That’s freedom!

With all its benefits, freelancers also have more responsibility as well. Freelance copywriters have to sell themselves, meet a deadline, and properly budget their resources and time. Freelance copywriters must also know their audience well, so most do research into their target audiences. They also need to be able to effectively and creatively sell a client’s product. But this increased level of responsibility is certainly worth it when you consider the freedom you get over your life when you switch to freelancing.

BECOMING A FREELANCE COPYWRITER

There are many different kinds of copywriters out there. Some copywriters specialize their skills and work in a small niche of the market, like Search Engine Optimization (SEO) copywriting, while others generalize their abilities and write for many different kinds of clients.

Freelance copywriters are expected to write great copy in all different arenas. It can be a bit demanding, but that’s just part of the fun of having an extremely flexible and rewarding career such as freelance copywriting.

Here are few ideas on how to get started as a freelancer:

1. Educate yourself. Good copywriters never believe they have learned “it all.” Successful copywriters recognize that there are always new things to learn and see themselves as lifelong students. It?s really important to learn new things and improve your skill set. You can start out by going online and searching for “copywriting tutorials.”

2. Do some work for free. This is a great option if you lack any real experience as a copywriter. Doing some initial work for free allows you to build a client base and get your name out there.

3. Look into coaching courses. Many successful freelance copywriters offer coaching courses that teach others on how to become a successful copywriter. They also give you first hand experience with a copywriter, which is a valuable resource.

4. Constantly hunt for work. Since there are many copywriters out there, you must look for work constantly in order to stay on top of things. You should keep an eye out for local businesses that may need help with their advertising and you should join freelance Internet marketplaces.

5. Construct a website. Many copywriters do not have a website, so having one can give you an advantage over some of your competition. Your website will function as your shop front window and display your services to potential customers. Therefore it should be neat, organized, and contain examples of your best work.

These were just a few ideas on how to become a freelance copywriter. Freelance copywriting is a very rewarding and flexible career since you can customize it around your life. If you’re interested in pursuing freelance copywriting, make sure you do some more research before you make the exciting plunge.

Many people who need to write articles also procrastinate as much as they can to delay the amount of writing they need to do. Many people dread writing articles because they find researching for the topic and writing down original materials will be too taxing on them. There are many webmasters that find writing articles for their site to be a very tedious task.

These are articles written down by many authors that have declared their works to be public domain, which means anybody can use it for whatever purpose they want. Have you ever heard about public domain? You need to have your creative juices flowing and simply downloading an article would be plagiarism or tantamount to stealing, not exactly.

Public domain articles are not owned by anybody and can be used and abused by anyone. The writers have waived their rights to their works and it is out there for the public to make use of. While most authors would prefer to copyright their work for their rights, there are also a number who doesn’t mind sharing their work.

All the ideas are there already and its just a matter of finding the write article with the topic or subject you need. You can use public domain articles in helping you write your articles. With the public domain articles you can simply edit them to your own style and rewrite them as you please to make it suitable for your needs.

You don’t need to scour around the library or the internet for hours for information and start an article from scratch. For webmasters who are looking for articles to fill their site and to generate a high ranking for their website in search engine results, they can just modify the article by infusing keywords and keyword phrases related to their site. This is probably the easiest way to write articles.

Writing articles by using public domain wont require as much work as writing one from scratch would. You save a lot of time also. A webmaster or website operator do not risk any chance of getting sued for copyright infringement because they are public domain, once again meaning that anybody can use it.

While a single five hundred worded article would only set you down 10 to 15 dollars, this cost will drastically increase when you need hundreds of articles to fill the needs of your site. One good factor in using public domain articles for your site or for any project is that you save a lot of money.

You can fill all the pages without any cost or the worry of being sued and sought after by the writers. You can simply copy the articles and place them on your newsletter and e-zine. For those who needs articles to generate newsletters or an e-zine, public domain articles will be very beneficial.

Public domain articles are a virtual untapped resource that many people fail to realize the true value. The power of articles, keywords and keyword phrases have been deemed invaluable these past few years for many internet based businesses and sites that want to rank high in search engine results.

As newer and newer topics and subjects have arisen, there are many demands for new articles to be written. An industry has been formed and this is a worldwide demand. The number of article and content writers have grown significantly due to the rise in the demand for articles.

Your article marketing efforts will pay off huge when you start applying the principles in this series of 25 articles.

Lots of courses on article marketing exist in the market, but they don’t show you the money-making part of the business. You need to know how to get people to click on the link to your website or affiliate program.

You will often find advice like “you should never say everything” and “leave out crucial details so they have to go to your link to ge the answers”, etc.

The reality is that when you actually start writing, it is hard to know what to write and what to leave out. And really, is that all there is to it?

What is needed is for someone to speak out about proven techniques that get people to click on the affiliate link or the link to your website.

Most of the articles in article directories are junk. They just fill up space with words without providing any useful information, they don’t provoke thinking or get you curious to find out more. Nothing. Most articles do nothing to get the reader to take action.

I’ll show you exactly what works and what doesn’t in this series of articles. I’ve listed examples of some of the topics here:

* Learn How You Can Plan Out The Goal Of Your Article So People Click On Your Link

* Learn To Attract Attention So The Search Engines Send Lots Of Traffic To Your Article

* Get The Attention Of Your Target Market To Your Article

* Specific Techniques To Arouse Interest Interest In Your Subject So Your Reader Is Almost Hypnotized By Your Words

* Learn To Provide So Much Value So Your Reader Feels Obligated To Pay You Back By Following Your Suggestion To Click On Your Link

* Lots Of Details On Keyword Research For Article Marketing

* Learn To Research Your Topic To Find The Gem Of Information That Will Make Your Reader Forever Grateful To You

Many of these topics resemble what you would find in copywriting courses. However, article marketing is a little different. You need to know how to apply the copywriting principles for article marketing.

These “Click-Inducing” principles can be applied to any subject.

Article directories are websites that house free articles. These articles are usually put there by whoever owns the copyright to them as a promotion method. Each article has the owners byline placed under it so that those who eventually read the article will know who wrote it (or at least who owns it) and will be able to get in contact with or visit their website for further information.

Articles directories are a great place to put your articles so that they will make you money. By using this method, people who are interested in your product or service will see your article, view you as an expert in the subject, and will visit your website. Even if you cannot write or do not have any knowledge on the subject on which you are promoting (for example for you run an affiliate website), you can always hire a writer to do the work for you. Getting quality articles written will be expensive up front, but they will pay for themselves in no time, either through affiliate sales or selling your own services, and everything from then on is pure profit.

Let’s take a real life example. Imagine that you are an accountant working from home. You write an article on an accounting topic and place it on various article directories. Those who are looking for the subject you wrote about will read your article, see that you have the knowledge and skill that is needed to do a job for them, and visit your website or contact you via e-mail. Your article just gained you a new client who may use your services regularly, but will definitely give you a nice profit at least once.

From there, writers will make bids on your project and provide you with writing samples so that you can get an idea of their skill level. Make sure that you choose a writer who gives you a sample of the type of article that you are looking for. For example, if you are looking for a copy-writer, do not hire someone who only sent you a sports writing sample. He or she may be an outstanding sports writer, but copy-writing is about selling (a product, service, or yourself) to your website visitors.

There are numerous article directories out there for you to utilize. Your bet best is to put a copy of each of your articles on every one for maximum exposure. It will eventually help to bring more traffic and customers to your website, which will lead to new orders and more profit.
