On page optimization is an important aspect of Search Engine Optimization. It is the method by which a number of elements on the web page are properly structured so that it can be found by search engines for desired keywords or keyword phrases.
One thing you need to remember is to stay consistent. The search engines crawl over every page of your website. So you must be sure each one is presented properly for SEO.
There are some methods you can use that will get you good results for your on Page SEO.
Everyone one of your pages should have a title. Google will scan the title, and wants to be able to see only the most pertinent key words related to the content of the page. The more important that Google feels that the keyword is, the higher the page rank they will give it.
Header tags H1are where to place the key words. Then get that tag up as close as possible to the top of the page. Don’t make long drawn out headers. Keep them concise so they don’t get lost in the text.
Add Keywords in H2 header tags: This can be thought of as a sub heading for our webpage. You should place your 2nd most important keyword in the H2 header tag. The H2 tag should be placed somewhere towards the top half of your webpage
A very common phrase you are going to hear, or probably have heard is, keyword density. This is a ratio or percent. It means how many times your keywords show up in the content, as compared to the total amount of the words. It’s very important that your keywords flow in your content ,just like they would in conversation.
Yahoo search engines understand that words placed in bold and italics are more important than the other text. That doesn’t mean that you should go overboard with this either. Try to keep your entire page as natural looking as possible.
How you prepare your image tags is important as well. These are ALT and they are the description for the search engine to know what the image is. Without overdoing it try and get the keyword into the image description as well.
The tech that appears in your click on links is known as the anchor text.
Keywords in URL: Search engines take into account the words used in the URL. So it’s a good practice to include your targeted keywords in the URLs of your website.
How you layout the navigation of your pages is important. If it is easy to navigate and the link structure is done in such a way that it just takes a few clicks to get around then it is good. This helps the spiders in the search engines navigate as well.
There is some speculation that Search Engine Optimization on page is not as apt to achieve the same results as off page SEO.
