Social Networking is the easiest and (in my opinion) most effective Internet Marketing technique. The best thing about social networking is it is 100% FREE. It makes the whole proces of driving traffic to your sites and list building easier than ever before!

Now there are many social networking sites out there but the two I am going to focus on are Twitter and Facebook. This is because they are the two most popular; around 15 million people use Twitter and 65 million people use Facebook.

This means whatever you are promoting you are guaranteed there will be a considerable number of people that will be interested in your product.

The key to social networking effectively and making money online is to target specific people and ensure they buy from you, here are some top tips how: 1. Make sure your account/profile reflects the business you are involved with and who you are.

2. Have a bio about yourself and tie it in with what particular niche you are involved with, if you’re an Internet Marketer tell the viewer how you first got involved with Internet Marketing.

3. Personalize you site; include picutres of yourself and of your family and pets. This straight away lets the viewer know you are a real person and not an automated robot. People will warm to that fact.

4. Load your page with links to your site; now don’t go overboard but you can include links in you bio, about me and more info links. This makes your links easily accessible to viewers; also include your link every time you update your social networking status.

5. Connect with new visitors/friends straight away. You do this by drafting up a generic email and sending it to any new social networking friends. Introduce yourself, let them know how you can benefit them and what product/home business you’re involved with. Then ask to hear more about that person which will lead to most people replying as you’ve asked to hear from them.

6. Frequently update your status with helpful information, for example I’m an internet marketer so I continually give people access to helpful information on internet marketing techniques; it might be a free report by myself or a link to a helpful website. By helping others you will become a leader and people looking to get into internet marketing will want to join into a leaders business as they can show them the way to success.

7. Make sure you add targeted people to your social networking site. To do this look for keywords that appear on other people’s profiles. For example if you’re promoting cat food search for the word “cat” this will bring up people that have “cat” on their profile. This means that the likely case is they own a cat so will be interested in buying a cat food product.

Limit the number of people you add on Facebook to 20 a day and Twitter to following 200 a day.

The most important thing is to keep it up; you have to continually build your list of followers/friends on your social networking sites. This was a very brief article on social networking that covered the basics and I hope it has been of use to you.

This article came from the computer of Jonathan Pitts. Social Media marketing is the fastest growing marketing technique today. Social media marketing is the type of planned marketing efforts that lead to the “Viral” spread of a company’s message. Unfortunately most marketers do not understand social media, let alone marketing in the social media market.

Social Media, also known as the Social Web or Web 2.0, is a natural evolution of how the internet works. This evolution empowers consumers to control the content on internet through social networks, online communities, blogs, wikis, and more. The primary difference between Social Media
and the old model of the internet is that consumers control the content on the web. The content published by companies with monetary motives is quickly discarded and buried by fresher more popular content.

This new model creates unlimited new opportunities for companies that are willing to engage the consumer. When done effectively, the
message shared with the consumer is spread virally drawing attention to the company that initiated the message. This viral message creates
many positive results. First, it attracts new previously unreached consumers to the company. Second, it generates internet content that is tracked and indexed by Google. This content naturally increases search engine ranking and draws additional consumers to join in the conversation and buzz.

For all of its benefits, there are drawbacks to social media. It requires new approaches to marketing with a new mindset. The two most popular approaches are Social Media Networking and Social Media marketing. These new
approaches in the new model can be difficult for traditional marketers to embrace. The techniques used in the past are no longer relevant in social media. In some cases, using traditional
marketing tactics in a social media environment can seriously damage the reputation of the company.

Networking in a Social Media environment requires a change in the way of thinking for companies approach to their target audience and the approach to reaching them. In this new model, every customer is a potential marketing partner. Every interaction with the customer has the potential of
become either a marketing opportunity or a blemish on their social media reputation. Companies must now engage consumers and treat them like true marketing partners to be effective at Social Networking.

Social Marketing, on the other hand, focuses on leveraging Social Media sites like Digg and Reddit to expand the reach of marketing efforts. The goal of Social Marketing is multifaceted. First, share content on social platforms to increase visibility. Then, initiate the viral spread of this content.
Finally, encourage the continued mention of content on blogs and websites to continue the spread of your content. Each of these three
efforts is monitored by search engines and will naturally promote higher seo rankings. Creating natural SEO links to the advertiser’s material.

Social media marketing can have a tremendous impact on your marketing plans. It can either extend your reach or send your customers running
scared. A solid understanding of social networking, social marketing, and how they interact will increase your chances of succeeding. Much
like traditional media, marketers have a variety of Social Media tools that can be used to reduce the amount of time necessary to succeed. Just like with traditional marketing, the tools or platforms used should be considered carefully and leveraged to promote the company in the best way possible.

How many networking events have you attended and returned home with a stack of business cards just to put them in a drawer with a hundred other cards. worse yet is when you need one of those cards and take hours to find it. No worries, the era of the paper business card is about to end.

When are you going to have time to look through all of them to find the person you want anyway? Of course, you can scan all those business cards, but again, do you really have the time?

The future is now with a electronic business card. Face to face contact is still the method of choice for networking, yet imagine being able to transfer all your information and receive all the person you are networking with in an instant. And having it stored electronically.

It’s called the minglestick, and it is a key chain sized device that allows the attendee, with the click of a button, to “upload” contact information from other attendees with a similar device. It is all done in the blink of an eye.

OK crank up the USB connection and you are good to go. Instead of collection trees and never using them, you now have a growing database of fellow net workers safely organized on your hard drive.

Easy is the MingleSticks middle name. Not really that would be wierd. Anyway you can export your information into Vcards or a CVS file. Organization is a snap using your online address book to manage your ever growing contact list.

When attending your next convention or seminar, be sure to notify the event organizers and make certain that they are making MingleSticks available to all attendees as part of their event welcome package.

Minglesticks also make a great conversation starter. What better way to break the ice at a business function than to bring out your Minglestick and flash it around. Of course, it would be kind of silly if you were the only person at the function with a Minglestick.

Nothing complicated here. Just point your MingleStick at the other persons and you both click the button on top of the device. Quick and easy. Asking for another attendee’s information will never be a burden again.

The ideas are endless. It is great for speakers who want the information of all the attendees without having to talk with each one. They could leave their stick at the registration desk and just pick it up after everyone has transferred their information with it.

Web 2.0 and social media are a great leveler and for small businesses that get it right, they have been able to compete with the big boys in a way that wasnt possible, ever before. Before the advent of social media networking, the only way to reach out to thousands of people was to spend a lot in advertising, and then hope that people see and remember your 30 second advertisement.

Social Media Networking has changed all that and you can engage with a lot more people than ever before in a very meaningful way without needing stratospheric budgets. It is not uncommon to see small businesses have over 50,000 followers in Twitter and 5,000 plus fans on Facebook. So, naturally, when you make that announcement about the upcoming sales event in your store, your message reaches out to hundreds of thousands in a matter of minutes and the sales figures get higher than ever before.

Make no mistake, social media networking is not easy and you need the right resources to build a big network. To win in this game, you need a big network of people who are interested in your products. Small businesses who do well in this game are ones who have a presence in all the major networks and are attacking all fronts at the same time. If you have a small business, and you post about events and sales at Facebook, you are likely generating good leads, but you are missing out on all the word of mouth marketing on Twitter.

To be effective, you need to be present in at least a few major social networking sites. I find that the best way to do this is a combo friend adder tool. A combo friend adder tool lets you manage multiple accounts in Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and YouTube (among others) from a single interface.

It allows you to

1. Set up alerts

2. Send mass messages

3. Manage a friend list

4. Constantly reach out and interact with prospects and customers

A combo friend adder is easy to use because you have just one interface that you need to master to manage multiple profiles and it is also a lot cheaper than buying a friend adder tool for each network separately.

It increases your efficiency and while the time you spend on social networking is the same, it allows you to get a lot more done by presenting your message in front of thousands of people by leveraging different networks at the same time.

The other benefit of buying a combo friend adder is that it generally comes with a whole host of bonuses which in itself will be as much as the price you pay for the combo friend adder tool. Buying a Friend Adder Combo tool is a great way to get a jump start in your efforts to generate a network which can convert into leads and sales for your small business.

Let’s face it. If you’re an entrepreneur, you’ll know that using social media is a great way to promote your business. It’s fast, it’s simple and, best of all, it’s free!

However, you have to be kind of careful with dealing with those who have power on the World Wide Web. Pissing off the people at Google, and other people who are your online “Friends” can result in having your accounts shut down, and leave you crying in the dust. And those are just your Facebook and Twitter accounts!

That’s because you’ve now been branded as a SPAMMER!

Online social networks are one of the blessings of Web 2.0. Plenty of people use them to stay in touch with their friends, meet new people, make work-related connections and more. Unfortunately, it seems like you can’t have something good on the Internet without someone coming along to abuse it, and that’s as true of online social networks as anything.

Internet property is much like any web page where Internet Sites allow peers to interact, which is then called social media online. Web 2.0 is just another word to refer to sites that allow people to contribute to it rather than simply read what’s on it.

For example, a blog (for bloggers) is Web 2.0, both Myspace and Facebook are Web 2.0, Flickr and Twitter are also categorized as Web 2.0, and all social bookmarking websites are Web 2.0.

As internet marketing involved, people figured out that they were able to promote their businesses for free using all these types of properties and thought, “WowFree Cool!”

Well, the problem comes: it isn’t cool!

Social media is an extended term that includes plenty of websites. However, there is what you call online etiquette that provides guidelines to which Web 2.0 sites allow you to gain a portion of Internet property that is for your own disposal or for your business – without getting other people mad that would lead you to lose your credibility as a serious businessman in the world of network marketing.

Take a look at it this way:

It’s your day off from a long work week, the perfect time to relax and communicate with friends and maybe even meet new ones. So, you party and have a blast. But then someone comes out of the blue, tells him who he is and then instantly tries to sell you things that he’s got in store.

Oh come on! It wouldn’t be surprising if you suddenly hurl your drink at his face – at the very least. This is pretty much what happens when you use social media sites in ways that they’re not supposed to be used.

If you’re going to succeed in the Internet jungle of business, you have to understand that it’s not about making money, but rather, about making connections with people. Even if it’s on the Internet, you should conduct business the same way you would in person: With dignity and respect. Business has it’s time and place, and social media is generally not one of them.

Remember, force-feeding usually results in up-chucking. If you want to build a solid business, do so on a solid foundation of respect and friendship for each other’s person, even if you’re just online.

Welcome! You are a basic user of social networking, having set up your profile on Twitter and LinkedIn and developed a Facebook page. You’ve even sent out some “tweets” and status updates as well as connecting with friends and colleagues. Every day you read about a new application for one of these sites and you aren’t sure whether they will actually help you and if they are worth the time to down load and learn. This article will point out some tested applications and methods that are useful in keeping your social media time useful and brief.

FriendFeed is a social networking site that consolidates all of your other sites into one. This includes MySpace (if you have it), Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr and more so you can see your contacts’ activity across multiple sites (IF they have taken the time to join Friend Feed). Many people want to limit their online activity to one or two sites so it may be difficult to encourage them to join yet another.

In order to shorten your social media time, you should be using Ping.fm (www.ping.fm). Ping allows you to update your activities (status) across multiple social sites, like Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, without individually logging into each. Ping is also a great way to announce to followers on these sites that you’ve updated your blog!

HootSuite and TweetDeck are two great Twitter dashboard applications that will help you manage your activity on that site. HootSuite is Web-based and TweetDeck is a download, but both have similar features. Both of these sites allow you to manage multiple profiles if you have them for different business purposes. You can also watch your feeds and in TweetDeck you can create groups to watch more closely if you are following a lot of people.

Sometimes finding appropriate people to follow seems confusing. To save time, check out WeFollow.com. It is a directory where you, and others, list yourselves under three keywords like “author”, “speaker”, “Republican (or whatever)”. You can do a search and find members by these keywords allowing you access to musicians, writers or whomever you are interested in. Twitter also has a search feature on the main interface. Type in a topic (environment) and you can bring up conversations taking place that include that word. Using a hash mark (#environment) helps it be more precise.

There are several things you can do to support and interact with your fellow Twitter members. You can engage them in conversation either publicly by replying with @ and their ID (i.e. @stevenschlagel) or you can DM them (send them a private “direct message”). One of the best ways to build rapport is to “retweet” or share someone else’s update with new people. You start this thread off with RT @stevenschlagel and whatever you read. HootSuite and TweetDeck have tools to enable this.

You can build relationships on LinkedIn by using a couple of features. The first is “Answers” at the top of the page. Drop this down and you will see you can either post a question or answer one, all of which is divided by topic. Answering questions let’s you designate yourself as an expert in certain topic. LinkedIn also has a groups section so prepare to join several of these based on your career or interests. Each group has a discussion section that you can get involved in and you can also invite these members to join your network.

Connecting with people and helping them succeed is the goal of online social media. It is not much different than live networking, but we’ve offered these suggestions to help you facilitate the process of meeting and engaging with new people online. When you are eager to help, you will find that others want to help you in return.

You’ve taken the beginning steps to creating an online social presence. You’ve started “tweeting” a bit on Twitter, you have a page set up on Facebook and your business profile is on LinkedIn. You’ve even added your colleagues and friends to some of these sites as contacts. But there is new information and Web 2.0 applications for online networking daily, it seems, and you don’t know if you should spend the time learning it all. You also don’t know if you are using it like you should. Here are some suggestions on ways to keep this process easy and enjoyable for you.

It may be hard for you to talk your social network contacts into joining yet another site, but FriendFeed is worth it. It combines, into one location, your activity across a variety of networks include Flickr, YouTube, MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook and more. It will even list your Amazon.com wish list. If you are going to consider one more site, Friend Feed is the one.

TweetDeck and HootSuite are similar except TweetDeck is a downloaded desktop application that allows you to manage Twitter more effectively, while HootSuite is a Web based app. Both have great user interfaces and allow you to have a more in-depth visual experience, viewing your direct messages and @replies while watching live feeds. In TweetDeck you can set up groups. If you are following a large number of people, you can separate the ones you really want to watch by theme. Both applications allow you to manage multiple “personalities” which is helpful if you have more than one business for which you are using Twitter.

There are ways to find appropriate people to follow and interact with on Twitter. The first is to do a simple search on Twitter’s main page. To get better results, use a hash mark (#) in front of the word, i.e. #soccer. This will reveal ‘tweets’ in which the word “soccer” was mentioned allowing you to do research or meet new people. Using WeFollow.com as a tool can save time as well. Members on this site list themselves under three keywords (“runner”, “chef”, “artist”) and you can do a search based on these for appropriate people.

On LinkedIn, you have the option of joining and participating in themed groups. Do a search in the Groups section for subjects or professions you are interested in and join. There are groups for attorneys, accountants, consultants, HR professionals…and many more. Once you have joined, start connecting with other members through group discussions and inviting them to join your network. Also check out the Answers tab at the top of the main screen. People post questions that they seek either opinions on or answers to. Answering questions can define you as an expert.

Remember, always, that social networking online is not much different from networking in person. The goals are to connect and contribute to those around you. If you always seek opportunities to serve others, you will automatically find that others are excited to serve you in return!

Building a good relationship with your followers will ensure that you do not have a hard time selling your product or business. Make sure that you don’t have to lure your followers, with sales promotions, or else you lose them very quickly. Instead of that lame approach use articles with useful information, every now and then give them the sales pitch. They will appreciate this more because the social networking community is different in the ways that they’ll accept being sold to.

Maximizing traffic in twitter is not only important but is essential to drive more traffic to your website or squeeze page. To sum it up, make sure it that your presence is known on twitter and that you treat your followers with respect. Send tweets regularly and make sure you’re careful with that type of tweets that you send. Make the tweets personal, informative, or fun to read.

You can also try to use your twitter account on your webpage, when you post a website, in your e-mail signature, or any place else that people see that might help you get noticed. You should also be an active twitter poster, which twitter calls tweets. As long as your active people will see that you are posting to twitter. If what you post is interesting, others will comment on this is a great way to meet people and to network and to tell them what your business is all about.

One of your first missions when you get onto twitter should be defined followers. You should try to get to know through your twitter messages as many people as you can. It is not uncommon to have over 1000 or even 10,000 followers. I believe the record is just over 1 million followers. There were many times when the twitter network was down because there were so many people sending messages.

If you have not heard of twitter yet, you will very soon. Twitter is to be taking the nation by storm. Just today I heard about a famous football player that wants to send a twitter message during the game. Whether he will be allowed to do this or not, we will soon find out. So if you have not heard of twitter yet, but we your seatbelts, and get ready for some fast action social networking.

Make sure you do not overdo it when using automatic updates. More is not always better. Think about it, if you are watching TV and the same commercial ran every two minutes you would become very annoyed very quickly, or you would just tune the commercial out of your mind.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of Twitter by now, the social networking and micro-blogging service that has taken the internet by storm. But just what is Twitter, why should i use it and how can it help me or my business? These are some of the questions most frequently asked of me by my clients and colleagues.

Twitter is unique amongst the social networking services in that it allows you to very quickly build up a “following” of like minded people, or people that may be interested in a product or service you’re selling. Unlike Facebook, for instance, you don’t need to know people in order to follow them or have them follow you. The key to leveraging Twitter lies in the simple fact that roughly 40% of the people you follow will follow you back. It’s really that simple, but it’s also very powerful.

Think about that for a minute. If you follow 100 people, roughly 40 of those people will follow you back and become a captive and receptive audience for you and your tweets. Well, you might ask, what’s the big deal? So I’ve got 40 people listening to me blabber on about what I do during the day. Well if you have a product or service you are trying to sell, this can be a very powerful marketing tool for two reasons. First of all, it’s very easy to grow your Twitter following rapidly so that those 40 followers turn into 400 and then 4000 within a matter of weeks if you know what you’re doing. Secondly, you can target these Twitter followers, so that those 400 or 4000 followers of yours are likely to be interested in whatever you’re selling.

Say for example you just opened an Italian Restaurant in Chicago and you’d like to attract some new customers. By using the Twitter search function, you can search the text of conversations for keywords like “pasta” or “italian food” etc. AND you can narrow down your search results so that you only see Twitterers who’ve discussed pasta and Italian food within say a 25 mile radius of Chicago. Now we’re talking! So now all you need to do is follow those people and lo and behold, roughly 40% of them will follow you back! Now throughout the course of the day you can occasionally slip in a tweet about your new delicious pasta specials for the evening, or maybe link to a review of your new restaurant, you get the idea. This is an incredibly powerful marketing technique, because you can really laser target your prospects and build up a huge number of followers in a very short time.

The key to making this work smoothly and to build up your followers quickly is to use automation. Luckily there are a number of tools available to help you quickly target and follow Twitterers within your niche. The two I recommend are Bird Feeder and Hummingbird.

The way Hummingbird works, is that you identify other Twitterers with large followings and then follow their followers. So for example, if you’re selling baby products, you might try and search for a Twitterer who also sells baby products or who offers advice and guidance to new moms. There’s your captive audience right there. So then you launch Hummingbird and use it to follow all the Twitterers who are already following the person offering the advice to new moms. Hummingbird will auto-follow all these people with the click of a button and in just a matter of minutes, you can follow hundreds of Twitterers, with many following you back. Bird Feeder is a bit more sophisticated, in that it allows you to not only follow other Twitterers followers, but also leverages the Twitter search functionality, so that you can (like in our Italian restaurant example) target just people within a certain geographic area who used a certain keyword phrase. Then, like Hummingbird, you can click a button and Bird Feeder will auto-follow just the Twitterers who meet the search criteria you specified.

This is the heart of Twitter marketing. FInd people you want to target, based on your niche or product or service, follow them and then rinse and repeat. You can very quickly build up a massive following of laser targeted Twitterers who are a receptive audience to whatever it is you’re trying to market or sell. selling. Every blogger wants to have a lot of readers for their blog. No one wants to be writing without an audience. It’s human nature to always want more, and this is true with blog subscribers and visitors. For bloggers, one of the best ways to promote your site is to use social media and social networking sites.

There are many different ways you can market your website with social media (content development, joining groups for exchanging votes, etc.) but one that has been proven to work when used properly is placing social media icons and voting buttons on your blog.

Voting buttons and icons work well for very simple reasons. First, they encourage visitors to vote for your content. And second, they make it easy for visitors to do so.

How Not to Use Social Media Voting Buttons

Because voting buttons and icons have potential to send more traffic, and because it is an easy change, many bloggers wind up going overboard. You’ve probably seen a number of blogs that have tons and tons of voting buttons.

In almost every case, this strategy will backfire. Adding too many buttons will create a cluttered blog that distracts the reader and just plain looks bad. Just as important, having too many buttons can spread out the votes that you get to the point that they have no impact.

If you have 20 different voting buttons on your site and you get one vote through each button, you’ll see very little, if any, traffic as a result. However, if you have one or two voting buttons and you get 20 votes, it will make a difference in your traffic levels (depending on the particular social media sites).

With an approach that users fewer voting buttons you will be showing visitors exactly where you would like them to vote for you. This way you have more control over where you get the votes and your readers are less likely to be confused.

How to Use Social Media Voting Buttons

Use only a few buttons/icons that are carefully chosen (ideal number would be 1 ” 3). You want to choose social media sites that fit well with your target audience and have potential to send traffic.

For most blogs, especially those with smaller audiences, it is not a good idea to only target the major social media sites like Digg and Reddit. You’re more likely to have success with smaller social media sites, so try to find a niche site that you can target in addition to a major site.

Depending on your audience and their familiarity with social media, you may want to explain to them what social media is, and how they can vote for your site. For audiences that are not tech-savvy, you may only have a few readers that use social media, but if you introduce the others to specific sites, they may become users and vote for your content.

If you havent noticed already social media is everywhere. There are so many websites and tools to take advantage of but which one is going to give you the most for your precious time. Unlike your main profile where you are limited to just 5,000 friends, with Fan Pages you can have an unlimited amount of people connect with you.

Here are some ways to use the fan page to grow your online business.

1. Integrate with Blog RSS Feed. You can integrate this fan page with your blog RSS feed or your website and ensure that it has a steady stream of content coming in for content hungry users.

2. Announce Your Events: If you are having a free webinar, teleseminar, or will be any of the social networks like Twitter live you can announce that event on your fan page and create anticipation for it. Also it keeps your fans in the loop of what your doing.

3. Explain Youre Business: Use pictures, videos, articles, and comments to really explain what you do. Be careful not to pitch in your Fan Page. This is an immediate turn off. Instead give case studies of things you have done to help people and share it with your Fans.

4. Interact With Your Fans: Make sure not to remain silent. Interact with your fans as they come to your page. You will soon experience your fans interacting amongst each other and giving you great feedback and/or word of mouth advertising. This is invaluable and shouldnt be taken for granted. However you must be patient and allow this time of process to build. Once done ” it is the greatest asset and social proof you can have.

These are just a tip of the iceberg of what you can do with FaceBook Fan Pages. It is that simple. Once you have put one together its also a good idea to be a fan of this page yourself. Once you are done, you can send this page to friends on your list and ask them to do the same. This will spark the viral component and have your Fan Page reach everyone in your FaceBook network.

One of the blessings of Web 2.0 is online social networking. A lot of people use these to remain in constant communication with friends, to meet new acquaintances, develop connections that are work-related and many more. However, people are always looking abuse this wonderful service and this is especially true with social networking online among other things.

As online marketing evolved, online businessmen found out that they were able to promote their stuff using all these for free. It’s like, “For Free? Cool!”

To place it into an analogy:

It’s your day off from a long work week, the perfect time to relax and communicate with friends and maybe even meet new ones. So, you party and have a blast. But then someone comes out of the blue, tells him who he is and then instantly tries to sell you things that he’s got in store.

Isn’t that such a big turn-off? This scenario actually happens when people start using social media sites in the wrong way.

To be a really serious businessman, you need to understand that social media is for making friends and not money. Like conducting businesses face to face, this is how online marketing should be done. There is a specific place and time for business. Social networking is one way of making connections and learning something about your potential business contacts.

Nobody likes to be force-fed. Building lasting relationships takes time and requires a mutual respect, and so does building a loyal following for your business.

About the Author:

Social media networking is the next wave of internet marketing, and businesses ” both online and offline, who are leveraging this medium, are already seeing increased ROI and sales. Businesses that use multiple social networking tools to promote themselves in harmony are more successful than the ones who use just one or two networks. For example, you could use your Twitter account to promote an upcoming event by tweeting about it a few times a day and also sending people over to your Facebook fan page, which has more details about the event.

On your Facebook fan page, you could host more details about your business and then send people over to your Flickr page, which has pictures from the last event. All these mediums are a force on their own, but, when you combine them, their effectiveness grows many times over. Managing all these mediums on top of your other business activities can become overwhelming and here is where a combo friend adder tool comes in. With a friend adder tool, you get an automated solution that helps you create and manage a single account like MySpace or Facebook.

With a combo friend adder tool, you can manage multiple accounts with one solution and increase the effectiveness of your campaign.

Here are the top benefits of a combo friend adder tool:

1. Single Platform for Multiple Accounts: The biggest advantage of using a combo friend adder tool is that you get one platform to manage multiple accounts. This reduces your overhead quite a bit because you can add friends, leave comments, view messages and manage your profiles from one place.

2. Cost Effectiveness: A combo friend adder tool replaces the need to buy multiple friend adder tools and the cost of a combo friend adder tool is lesser than what you would have had to pay if you bought a friend adder tool for each medium separately.

3. Increased Reach: Managing multiple social networks is not an easy task. Not a lot of businesses are able to manage three or more successfully at the same time. This is because it takes a lot of your time and energy. The best way to overcome this is to have a single tool that takes care of all these networks at once. A combo friend adder tool does just this. It reduces the time that would take you to use all these networks individually and a single interface means that your learning curve is reduced quite a bit. While I love the low cost, for me, the most important benefit of using a combo friend adder tool has been the increased reach.

Before using a combo friend adder tool, I was spending too much time on one network and ignoring others. That was yielding benefits, but it is only when I started marketing on all networks and cross promoting my different platforms, did I realize how quickly the benefits can multiply if you leverage a few networks in tandem.

All bloggers want the world to see their blog. Regardless of how many visitors and subscribers you have, you will always want more. One of the most popular (and productive) ways for bloggers to market their blog is with social media.

The first thing to know about voting buttons is that you don’t want to overdo it. Because they can be very effective, some bloggers decide to include an icon/button for every social media site known to man.

This approach does more harm than good. The buttons will clutter up your blog, make it look unprofessional, distract readers from the content, and most importantly, it could spread the votes that you receive to the point where they don’t have an impact.

The best approach is to only use about two or three buttons on your blog to produce maximum results. Pick the sites that you target based on how well they match up with your blog’s audience, as well as their potential to send visitors to your blog.

Perhaps you thought that social media’s popularity would fade before you had to learn it? Given that Fortune 500 companies are hiring Directors of Social Media and Social Media Marketing managers, it is probably unlikely.

Interacting online in social network sites allows you to do three things. You get to build stronger relationships with your business partners and colleagues, you have access to online experts and you get more one-on-one time with your customers, to learn their likes and dislikes and to engage them in your business.

Building stronger relationships with colleagues and business partners gives you the opportunity to add people from their network and to pick their brains for expert information or opinions on vendors. Getting to interact directly with your customers or potential clients allows you to gain a stronger understanding of their needs and how they would like to see your business or service offerings develop.

You have plenty (too many!) choices of social networking sites. You won’t have time to be active on all of them. It’s more important to be active on a few than not active on a lot! As a beginner, you really only need to sign up and be involved on three sites. Facebook which will allow for professional and social interaction, LinkedIn which is for professional purposes only and Twitter for immediate interaction with other individuals. If this is still too much, just use LinkedIn and Twitter to start.

When you sign up for these, sites use your real name (or as close as possible). You want people to be able to find you. You may also want to sign up under the company name which you can do on LinkedIn and Twitter. Get a great head shot and use a small version of this as your thumbnail sized avatar. The sites will offer to look for contacts from your email address book. This is a great feature and you should do it. Deselect if you don’t actually want to follow someone.

Write a complete and compelling profile bio. Be authentic in who you are and don’t skimp on this part. People want and need to know who you are in order to have any interest in following you. As appropriate, include a graphically appealing background. Twitter’s is pretty easily manipulated and there are plenty of free sites that will allow you to tinker with it yourself or hire a graphic designer for this small project. Always add your Web site or blog URL to your profile!

Get involved. If you are on Twitter, follow appropriate people (use the search on the main page for types of business people: entrepreneurs, artists, attorneys or go to WeFollow.com to find a broader selection). But don’t just be an observer. Share information, share articles you’ve found online, ask questions, cheer people on, connect people to other people! On LinkedIn and Facebook, sign up for groups or fan pages in areas that truly interest you and participate in discussion groups. Offer your expertise.

Don’t push too hard. You will recognize site members who are there simply to sell. This is very transparent and very annoying. Remind yourself of the goal of social networking sites: to connect, engage and serve others. Others will serve you, but not if you hammer them with sales messages and automatic responses.

You may get the chance to meet some of your online contacts in person. Take advantage of this opportunity to build even stronger connections and loyalty among within your network. You can find events listed on Facebook and LinkedIn and do a search on Twitter for “tweetup”s.

From Fortune 500 companies to freelance entrepreneurs, social networking offers a way to interact and contact people we didn’t conceive of five years ago and allows for a broader reach to your target audience. Test the waters and go connect!

Launching a new blog can be a fun experience, but with all of the competition out there it can be very challenging to get people to actually pay attention to your blog. Readers have so many options to choose from, you must do something to make yours stand out.

Great content is essential to any long-term blogging plan if you want to be successful, but as a new blogger, if no one is seeing your content it really doesn’t matter how good it is. At first you will have to get some eyes on your content, then hopefully people will take notice, keep coming back, and spread the word to others.

There are any number of things you can do to promote a new blog, some are productive and others are a waste of time. In this article we will focus on 7 techniques that can produce impressive, and quick, results for new blogs.

1. Use Social Media

Social media sites are great for promoting websites and blogs because of the huge potential for traffic, plus you can use them for free. Social media is especially useful for new blogs because it is something that can produce immediate results, unlike search engine optimization.

If you want to get results from social media marketing, you first need to be an active social media user yourself. Take time to visit the sites, get familiar with the content that does well and start to build a network of other users.

At this point you will want to create content with this audience in mind and try to get some help from your friends with voting for the content and promoting it.

2. Social Networking Profiles

Although you won’t get a huge traffic rush from it, linking to your new blog from your profiles on sites like Facebook and MySpace can be a good start to build some links and start getting some visitors to the blog.

This is a very easy thing that you can do in just a few minutes, and most of the visitors will be well-targeted because it will be people that you know from the networking sites.

3. Twitter

If you’re not already using Twitter, you need to start in order to avoid missing out on a great promotional tool. While Twitter is a conversational tool not created for marketing, many Twitter users post links to their blog posts.

Be an active Twitter user, build up a list of followers, and you can promote your own blog posts and see immediate results in terms of visitors and re-tweets from other users.

For those who already have an established Twitter account with some followers, this is an excellent opportunity.

4. Pay-Per-Click Advertising

PPC ads are a cost-effective way to bring new visitors. With Pay-Per-Click advertising you can bid on certain keywords and you will only pay when someone clicks on your ad and visits your site.

5. Participate in Blog Carnivals

Blog carnivals are really nothing more than a collection of posts on a specific topic. A blog will host the carnival and other bloggers can submit links to their own posts on the subject. You won’t get big traffic from this method, but you will easily start to build some links.

You can find carnivals to submit to at www.blogcarnival.com.

6. Write Guest Posts for Other Blogs

One of the most effective ways to promote a new blog is to write guest posts that will be published on other blogs. Guest posts will help to get exposure from a new, targeted audience, plus you will be building links through your author bios that link back to your own blog.

One of the best things about guest posting is that you will get to meet other bloggers and make some valuable connections. Write a quality article for another blogger an they will remember you.

7. Exchange Links with Other Blogs

Because links have such a significant impact on search engine rankings, link exchanges are very common. Getting some link partners (maybe 5 -10) in your niche can help to start to build the credibility of your new blog.

While blogroll links may bring some visitors to your site, the links are much more valuable for SEO purposes.

About the Author:

Are you a business owner or entrepreneur who hasn’t started using social media yet? Networking on various social sites will allow you to improve your Web site traffic and build your online presence. Whether you are a small business owner or communications director for a large corporation, adding social networking to your marketing strategy is imperative.

On a strictly business level, social media offers three key components: it allows you to connect with and engage current and potential customers directly; it allows you to connect with colleagues and business partners; and it allows you to leverage those connections to connect with others to meet needs you don’t even know you have yet.

There are an ever-increasing number of social sites available to you and it would be impossible (and unnecessary) for you to be active on all of them. To start off with it is only necessary to be active on three: LinkedIn (professional), Facebook (social) and Twitter (immediate). If you still feel overwhelmed, just get involved on LinkedIn and Twitter for now. You can add Facebook later.

Writing a strong biography for your site is very important. This gives people just enough information to decide if they want to connect with or follow you. When you develop a biography, let people know what you do and also add your URL to your Website or blog so people can get additional details about your business. On Twitter you can design a background. Use a free design site to do this yourself or hire a graphic designer for this small job. It makes a difference in the professionalism of your site.

Now you have to start interacting! Twitter offers a “search” box now and you can type in keywords like “entrepreneur” to find discussions, and thus people, to follow and contribute to. There is also a great site called WeFollow.com that allows you to do a search by terms that people have identified themselves with (“artist”, “small business”, etc.). On LinkedIn and Facebook, you can join groups and on Facebook there are fan pages for lots of famous people, from musicians to business people. Offer your opinions and resources. Get involved!

Don’t push too hard. You will recognize site members who are there simply to sell. This is very transparent and very annoying. Remind yourself of the goal of social networking sites: to connect, engage and serve others. Others will serve you, but not if you hammer them with sales messages and automatic responses.

Sometimes you will get the opportunity to meet some of your contacts in persons. Facebook and LinkedIn list events in your area and Twitter has what are called “tweetups” which are live gatherings of Twitter members, generally around a topic or interest. Interacting in person builds a stronger connection than just online.

Don’t be intimidated by social media. You don’t need to spend hours online to be productive and for it to pay off. You may need to spend a little more time in the beginning but this new tool can allow you to reach people (customers and experts) that you were never able to before. Go give it a whirl!

About the Author:

The number of blogs that are online is growing astronomically each day. New blogs are being added constantly, thanks in part to the ease with which anyone can start a blog. Some blogs are for personal purposes and others are for business purposes. Those that have any type of intent to make money or represent an existing business will need to attract an audience in order to have any impact.

Many new bloggers underestimate the difficulty that they will face in attracting and retaining readers. When a new blog launches, the first few days present a very valuable opportunity to present your blog as a great new resource for readers.

The article is dedicated to providing information on a few things you can focus on as a new blogger to get started quickly.

1. Notify Friends and Family

By announcing the blog launch to your friends and family you can get a few visitors to the site easily when it is brand new. Send an email to your contacts telling them a little bit about the blog, why you are starting it, and including a link so they can visit.

2. Link to Your New Blog from Your Other Sites

If you have built other websites or blogs at this point, you should take the time to add links to your new blog (assuming the sites cover topics that are at least somewhat related). Having multiple sites makes it easier to get a little bit of attention for a new site or blog, so take advantage of it if this is the case for you.

While having other existing sites and blogs can be an advantage, building a new blog from scratch without this help is certainly possible. Additionally, once you have built this blog you will have the advantage for your next launch since you will already have a platform to help.

3. Place Links to Your Blog from Your Profiles on Social Networking Sites

Almost all bloggers have profiles on at least a few social networking sites. There are literally thousands of networking sites to choose from, and there’s no need to have a profile at every one, but be sure that all of your existing profiles mention your new blog and link back to it.

These types of links won’t send huge amounts of traffic, but when you’re getting a new blog started, link building will be one of your biggest challenges, so even these links can be a big help.

4. Write Posts and Submit Them to Social Media Sites

Visitors can find your blog through a number of different sources. Many bloggers desire to build search engine traffic. Although search visitors are generally very well targeted, it takes a considerable amount of time for your site to develop trust from the search engines that will result in large numbers of visitors. Social media can be used immediately with huge potential.

Social media is a great resource for new bloggers because with the right type of content, and with quality content, exposure to a very large number of people is possible, and free. New blogs can quickly become recognized in their industry with a few posts that generate interest from social media users.

Although social media has huge potential, many bloggers get poor results. Submitting the wrong types of content or not being genuinely involved at the social media site will likely lead to failure. Take the time to get familiar with the social media audience, and write quality content that appeals to their interests.

5. Blog Commenting

Leaving intelligent comments on other blogs with related content is a proven way to bring some visitors back to your own blogs. Like some of the other strategies mentioned here, this will not bring huge amounts of traffic, but they will be interested visitors.

In order to have success with this strategy you will need to leave significant, intelligent comments, not something like “Nice job”. Most blog comments are pretty worthless, so when you leave one that adds some type of value to the post, people will notice.

6. Build a Network of Other Bloggers

All highly successful bloggers are well-connected with others in their niche. Building a network is one of the most important things you will do throughout the life of your blog.

If you want to network with other bloggers you can start by commenting regularly on their blogs so they’ll start to get to know you. Other than that, you can be active at social networking sites, and also you can simply reach out to them by email to introduce yourself and see what happens from there.

About the Author:

If you havent noticed already social media is everywhere. There are so many websites and tools to take advantage of but which one is going to give you the most for your precious time. The one tool that has been a success for me is the FaceBook Fan Page. FaceBook allows you to interact with your prospects or clients through Fan Pages. These pages allow you to have an unlimited amount of Fans or people who are interested in you or your online business.

Realize that social networking is the future and if you utilize the tools provided like a Facebook Fan Page you will be 5 steps ahead of everyone else in your online business. So start taking advantage of this great social networking tool and grow your business today.

Because of the huge number of blogs that already exist and the exponential increases that are occurring, getting yours off to a great start is key. The launch phase is a great time to promote your blog and pique interest from potential readers.

In this article we will look at a number of different things that you can do right away to start the traffic flowing.

1. Tell Your Friends and Family About the Blog

For many people, starting by promoting your site to friends and family is a great way to get a few people to visit the site and to start things in the right direction. These people will know you and will take an interest in what you are doing, and they may even become regular readers if they like the topics you are covering.

3. Use Your Other Sites to Link to the New Blog

If you have built other websites or blogs at this point, you should take the time to add links to your new blog (assuming the sites cover topics that are at least somewhat related). Having multiple sites makes it easier to get a little bit of attention for a new site or blog, so take advantage of it if this is the case for you.

For those of you who do not have other websites or blogs, although this may seem like a disadvantage, don’t be discouraged. You have to start somewhere. In the future, as you add new blogs and websites you’ll be better off since you will already have this blog to help out.

3. Link from Your Social Profiles

Social networking sites are common haunts for bloggers. If you have some social networking profiles of your own, be sure to add a link to your blog from the profile. This is an easy way to get a few links, and the visitors that arrive at your blog will probably already be familiar with you, making them a higher quality visitor.

As a new blogger, link building will be more of the most important hurdles that you will have to overcome. Simple links from profiles can be a start.

4. Write Posts and Submit Them to Social Media Sites

There are any number of different ways that you can get people to visit your blog. Search engine traffic is highly sought after, but it takes time to build your site’s reputation with the search engines and develop any type of substantial search traffic. Links and recommendations from other sites are great too, but that also will take time (unless you are already well connected).

Although other types of traffic, like search engine visitors, take lots of time to develop, social media has the potential to send thousands of visitors to a new blog almost immediately. Of course, the content needs to be high quality and unique in order for social media users to take a liking to it.

Many bloggers attempt to use social media with less-than-spectacular results. The key is to produce the highest quality of content possible and develop a network of other social media users. Not every post will be successful with social media, but when you have a hit it could have a huge impact on the growth of your new blog.

5. Leave Comments on Other Blogs

One way to get quality (not necessarily quantity) visitors is to leave intelligent comments on other blogs in your industry or niche. Readers of those blogs will see your comment, and if they have a reason they will click through to your site.

The key with commenting is to leave comments that add something to the post of provide some type of valuable insight or discussion. The majority of blog comments tend to be something like “Great post!”, which adds no real value and will not encourage anyone to click through and visit your site.

6. Build a Network of Other Bloggers

One of the most important things you can do for your blog is to start to build some connections to other bloggers, particularly those in your niche.

Networking can often start with commenting on another blog, but that is not the only opportunity to network. Get involved at social media and social networking sites to get to know others, especially niche social sites. Also, don’t be afraid to email or contact another blogger through their blog just to introduce yourself.

About the Author:

Every blogger wants to have a lot of readers for their blog. No one wants to be writing without an audience. It’s human nature to always want more, and this is true with blog subscribers and visitors. For bloggers, one of the best ways to promote your site is to use social media and social networking sites.

If you’re interested in increasing your traffic through social media you should be focusing time and effort on writing the best content possible and connecting with other social media users. However, one easy change that you can make is to start using social media icons on your site so visitors can vote for your content.

By using fewer icons/buttons you can indicate to visitors which social media sites are the most important ones for you. If you’re using too many buttons it can be confusing and they have no idea where you would most like to receive the votes.

Do’s for Using Social Media Voting Buttons

Use only a few buttons/icons that are carefully chosen (ideal number would be 1 ” 3). You want to choose social media sites that fit well with your target audience and have potential to send traffic.

Another thing to keep in mind is that small bloggers will typically not have the best results if they are only targeting major social media sites like Digg. With a small audience, you are much more likely to get significant exposure from a smaller niche-specific social media site that will require fewer votes in order to become “popular.”

Some blogs will have audience that consist largely of people that do not use social media. If this is the case for you, consider using your blog to inform your readers about a particular social media site, how they can use it, and how they can vote for you.

About the Author:

There are thousands of new blogs started every day, and that number is growing consistently. It’s so easy for anyone to set up a blog now that there are very few potential barriers, contributing to the huge number that are launched each day. Some bloggers are personal and others are for business. Those that are for business will need to find ways to attract visitors if they are to be successful.

Many new bloggers underestimate the difficulty that they will face in attracting and retaining readers. When a new blog launches, the first few days present a very valuable opportunity to present your blog as a great new resource for readers.

In this article we will look at a number of different things that you can do right away to start the traffic flowing.

1. Announce the Blog Launch to Friends and Family

For many people, starting by promoting your site to friends and family is a great way to get a few people to visit the site and to start things in the right direction. These people will know you and will take an interest in what you are doing, and they may even become regular readers if they like the topics you are covering.

2. Link from Any Other Sites that You Have

If you have other websites or blogs you will be in much better position for promotion, especially if you have an established site in the same niche or industry. Using your existing site(s) as a springboard for your new blog is one of the most effective things you can do to promote it.

Most bloggers are active at at least a few social networking or social media sites. If this is the case with you, be sure to take a few minutes and link to your blog from all of your profiles. And if you do not have any profiles, find a few social sites that you want to use, create and account and add a link (and of course, be active at the networking site).

As a new blogger, link building will be more of the most important hurdles that you will have to overcome. Simple links from profiles can be a start.

4. Create Content to Submit to Social Media Sites

Social media is capable of being the great equalizer for new blogs. Any blog with the right content, a little bit of promotion, and probably some luck along the way, can benefit greatly from social media. Creating content that is targeted towards specific audiences and submitting it to the social media sites is one of the best ways to generate traffic to a new blog.

Many bloggers attempt to use social media with less-than-spectacular results. The key is to produce the highest quality of content possible and develop a network of other social media users. Not every post will be successful with social media, but when you have a hit it could have a huge impact on the growth of your new blog.

5. Blog Commenting

Blog commenting is a proven way to help increase the exposure of a new blog. With well-thought-out comments and feedback you can catch the attention of the other blogger, plus all of the readers that browse through the comments.

If you want to gain exposure for your blog through commenting, focus on leaving helpful and intelligent comments. Most blogg commentors are just leaving generic garbage comments that ultimately add nothing to the post. Use your comment to show that you know what you are talking about and that people should pay attention to you.

6. Build a Network of Other Bloggers

One of the most important things you can do for your blog is to start to build some connections to other bloggers, particularly those in your niche.

Leaving comments on other blogs will be a big help in getting to know others, but don’t stop there. Be active at social media and social networking sites, especially niche sites, and don’t be afraid to contact other bloggers just to introduce yourself. Most bloggers are very open to getting to know other bloggers, so your inquiries will generally be very well received.

About the Author:

1. Social Media Marketing

Want a great way to quickly and inexpensively market that new blog? Social media is the answer. Social media sites are capable of sending huge amounts of traffic, which will get you noticed and help to build some in-bound links.

In order to have success in terms of getting traffic from social media sites, you will need to be an active user yourself so that you can understand how social media works, network with other users, and start to understand what types of content the users react to.

Creating content especially for social media audiences is the best way to get results. Also, try to get some votes and promotional help from your friends that also use social media.

2. Social Networking Profiles

Many people already use social networking sites, so you can add a link to your blog in a matter of minutes. This will help to send some targeted visitors to the blog, although you shouldn’t expect a huge rush of new visitors from this approach.

This is a very easy thing that you can do in just a few minutes, and most of the visitors will be well-targeted because it will be people that you know from the networking sites.

3. Twitter

Twitter has exploded in the past year to become a must for online marketers. If you can actively use Twitter on a regular basis and build up an audience of followers, sending out some tweets about your blog or posts can make a big impact.

Of course, you don’t want to only tweet about your own links, be a real Twitter user and promote your posts occasionally. The more followers you have the more likely you are to get re-tweets which can lead to a lot more traffic.

If you already have an established Twitter account with some followers, this is a great resource to promote your new blog.

4. Advertising/PPC

If you are willing and able to invest a little bit of money into the blog, adverting can provide a good return. Banner ads are a popular online option and they can be great for increasing your exposure and bringing new visitors.

Pay Per Click is a favorite of many online marketers because it is an option for any budget and because it can be very cost-effective. You’re only paying when someone is visiting your site, so there is no wasted money.

6. Guest Posts on Other Blogs

One of the most effective ways to promote a new blog is to write guest posts that will be published on other blogs. Guest posts will help to get exposure from a new, targeted audience, plus you will be building links through your author bios that link back to your own blog.

You may get some visitors that click through from your guest posts, but not that many. Those that do will be highly qualified visitors. Writing for others is also a good way to build some connections with influential bloggers.

7. Blogroll Link Exchanges

Every blogger wants to have a lot of readers for their blog. No one wants to be writing without an audience. It’s human nature to always want more, and this is true with blog subscribers and visitors. For bloggers, one of the best ways to promote your site is to use social media and social networking sites.

If you’re interested in increasing your traffic through social media you should be focusing time and effort on writing the best content possible and connecting with other social media users. However, one easy change that you can make is to start using social media icons on your site so visitors can vote for your content.

By placing a voting button on your site you are encouraging visitors to vote for you (think of it as a friendly reminder) and you’re making it quick and easy for them to vote. Simply reminding visitors that they can vote for you will help to increase the number of votes that you get.

Common Mistakes When Using Social Media Icons/Buttons

Because voting buttons, widgets and icons can encourage votes and lead to more visitors through social media, many bloggers tend to overdo them. You will see blogs with voting buttons for every possible social media site you can image.

This approach does more harm than good. The buttons will clutter up your blog, make it look unprofessional, distract readers from the content, and most importantly, it could spread the votes that you receive to the point where they don’t have an impact.

Say you are using 30 different buttons or icons on your site, and each one of them gets one vote from a reader. If this is the case, you will see very little traffic from those social media sites, because it takes more votes to make a difference. But if you were to have 5 buttons/icons and you got 30 total votes, that would be an average of 6 votes per button, which might be enough to get some traffic.

With an approach that users fewer voting buttons you will be showing visitors exactly where you would like them to vote for you. This way you have more control over where you get the votes and your readers are less likely to be confused.

Do’s for Using Social Media Voting Buttons

Place only a small number of social media voting buttons on your blog, I recommend 2 or 3. Carefully chose the social media sites based on fit with your audience, as well as their potential to send traffic to your site.

For the best results, don’t focus only on larger social media sites like Digg and Reddit. These sites are often dominated by major websites and blogs that already have a huge audience. Don’t ignore smaller but more targeted niche-specific sites. They may not send as much traffic, but it will be far easier.

If necessary, explain to your visitors what the social media sites are, how they can use them, and why they would want to use them. Depending on the topics that you right about, it’s possible that only a small percentage of your readers will be familiar with social media. In this case you can help to educate them and they’ll be more likely to wind up voting for your content.

Some bloggers are personal and others are for business. Those that are for business will need to find ways to attract visitors if they are to be successful.

With so many blogs out there it can be much more difficult than most people expect to start attracting visitors. The launch phase of a blog is critical because it gives you the opportunity to promote your new blog and to show people why they should pay attention to you. With an effective launch you will be able to get some readers and links, and you’ll be on your way towards success.

The article is dedicated to providing information on a few things you can focus on as a new blogger to get started quickly.

If you have built other websites or blogs at this point, you should take the time to add links to your new blog (assuming the sites cover topics that are at least somewhat related). Having multiple sites makes it easier to get a little bit of attention for a new site or blog, so take advantage of it if this is the case for you.

If you don’t have any other websites yet, this may seem like a disadvantage. While it may make things a little more difficult for you now, once you get your new blog established it will give you an excellent platform with which you can promote other new blogs that you may launch in the future.

As a new blogger, link building will be more of the most important hurdles that you will have to overcome. Simple links from profiles can be a start.

4. Write Posts that Target Social Media Users

There are any number of different ways that you can get people to visit your blog. Search engine traffic is highly sought after, but it takes time to build your site’s reputation with the search engines and develop any type of substantial search traffic. Links and recommendations from other sites are great too, but that also will take time (unless you are already well connected).

5. Leave Comments on Other Blogs

Leaving intelligent comments on other blogs with related content is a proven way to bring some visitors back to your own blogs. Like some of the other strategies mentioned here, this will not bring huge amounts of traffic, but they will be interested visitors.

Networking can often start with commenting on another blog, but that is not the only opportunity to network. Get involved at social media and social networking sites to get to know others, especially niche social sites. Also, don’t be afraid to email or contact another blogger through their blog just to introduce yourself.

I’m sure you’ve heard of sites like Facebook and MySpace. They are known as social networking sites. These sites let people form an online community to share their knowledge about things they care about.

And the makings to turn people off has been genuine road block for people who try to marketing to communities, using what is called social marketing.

Community sites like MySpace will flat-out run you off. There are some web 2.0 sites that won’t but the disadvantage is that they can change the rules when ever they like to and cut off your revenue stream. That’s not good. Till now, creating your own web 2.0 site has been like twisting yourself into a pretzel.

This will change all. Why? As it does make building profitable social networking sites a breeze. The software has been created by a team commissioned by two experienced and well-known Web marketers (Andrew X and Steven Lee Jones). They would have liked a platform that makes it easy to set up a social networking site in every niche they chose. Boy, they have been successful.

This software is a pleasure to use. Wizards walk you thru setting everything up. And you can build some cool community sites, with all the bells and whistles. I am talking about built-in forums, integrated business directories, and professional sign-up features that make you look as professional as Facebook. You name it, you can build it. So you don’t have to worry about creating a community you will not be proud of. That might basically be hard to do with Niche Socializer.

But again, what truly matters is the cash you can generate with this software, and that is where Niche Socializer truly shines.

It’s clear that Andrew & Steven had monetization in mind from the beginning, as it is absolutely natural to build in multiple earning streams.

It starts with the ultimately flexible membership features. They have hit a home run here. You can set up free test memberships, different membership types, flexible charges, just about anything you can imagine. But it does not stop there. You have the possibilities, for example, to build in your own classified advertisments section and charge your members to publish their ads.

Or you could build in advert rotation on your pages so your community will see subtle, context-sensitive advertisements they will love.

You are even able to sell your own products from within your website. The shop module makes it so easy you will not believe it.

And you’ll own every social networking site you build (you can set up three included in the purchase price, and more for a little member rate after that). Every social networking site is one hundred percent your own, and you can even resell them if you would like.

The best, Niche Socializer integrates easily with PayPal and 2CheckOut, two of the most popular (and easiest) payment processors on the net.

It’ll take you only five mins to install the software. Then all you need to do is configure it. And Andrew and Steven make that simple as well.

They include straight forward video training on everything from installing Niche Socializer to how to use email marketing to squeeze maximum profits out of your membership. The quality is wonderful.

What’s more, their support is phenomenal. They won’t just leave you hanging after you made your payment.

They give their own members ongoing webinars where they answer submitted questions, and they give real tech support when you want it via an email. You can submit your support tickets 24/7, and you will get a real reply, from a live human being, usually within 24 hours.

I can’t think of a better, more complete, more administrator-friendly platform to let you jump on the community wave.

What’s more, they will let you try that to yourself. You can try Niche Socializer for 30days and prove you can make it work for you.

I can’t recommend this strongly enough if you’re interested in earning cash from your own community site.

About the Author:

I was introduced to Twitter about three months ago along with many other Web 2.0 sites. I decided to sign up as it looked like a great place to interact with others and meet people with similar interests as myself. I signed up for Facebook and YouTube at the same time.

I started posting on Twitter and Facebook and creating my own videos to upload to YouTube. I was told that it was Twitter etiquette to follow everyone that was following me, so when I found out about a free tool that allowed me to do that, I started using it. The tool also lets you automatically thank people for following you. I got the whole thing set up and then started following people who I found to be interesting. Some of these people followed me back, whereas others didn’t.

I paid very little attention to the numbers as the weeks went on. There are three sets of numbers at the top right-hand corner of the home Twitter page. It lists “followers”, “following” and “updates”. I was being fairly active on the site and was posting a few times a day. Each day I would add a few more people to follow so my “following” number was increasing. I didn’t pay too much attention to how many people were following me back.

So just about a week ago I was adding more people that I wanted to follow when one of the follow requests would not activate. I thought that Twitter was having a technical problem so left it for a while. However, when I tried again, the same thing happened. I had no idea what was going on. I was still able to send out “tweets” (twitter messages) so I asked if this was happening to anyone else. I received a reply that I had received a “Twitter Slap”. Perhaps you have heard of the very common “Google Slap” where Google punishes you for not adhering to their rules and regulations. Well, this is much the same thing but obviously not anywhere near as serious.

It was explained to me that as I was now following 2000 people, Twitter was applying a mathmatical formula to the ratio of following/followers. If you fell outside the boundaries, then they would freeze you, preventing you from following anyone else until you brought your figures in line. So now I knew what the problem was….but how was I going to fix it.

After doing a Google search, I was surprised to find well over one hundred tools to enhance your Twitter experience. I had to sift through them all because I was looking for a tool that would help me reduce the number of people I was following. I didn’t want to just go in and arbitrarily unfollow people, so I was looking for something very specific. The first thing that I needed was a list of the people who were not following me back.

Here are the two tools that I highly recommend to get the job done.

www.friendorfollow.com….this site lists all the people who don’t follow you back; www.twitoria.com….this site lists the people who have not posted for quite a while;

It then became an easy task to choose the people I wanted to unfollow so that I could free up my ability to follow others again. It has worked like a charm.

For those of you who are getting close to following 2000 people, it would be a good idea to take some action now so that you don’t run into this difficulty. I am sure there are other slaps but as of now, I don’t know what they are or when they will occur.

If you are already on Twitter please follow me. If you are not, then hop over to Twitter and get signed up. It only takes a moment and it’s free. If you follow me, then I will follow you back. You can see me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/janshimano.

With the evolution of social networking sites, it is becoming easier and easier to promote your business online. With social networking sites like Facebook, you can easily relate to other people on a personal level. As in any type of business, when you can get to know someone first, the sale becomes that much easier. This is essentially what you can do with Facebook. So how exactly do you use this to promote your business?

The first thing you must do is to make friends. The best way to do this is to search for your existing friends. You can do this by going through your address book or email list and adding them to your friends list on Facebook. Once you have exhausted your current contact list, start browsing to find people that you can meet. It’s best if you have something in common with them right off the bat. This will make it easy for you to get to know them better.

When you’ve built a good sized list, you can slowly begin to build your business. You’ll start off subtly. People get annoyed when your to agressive about promoting your business. You could get reported as a spammer or your friends might drop you. you don’t want to seem pushy. You also actually want to become people’s friends. Take an interest in what other are doing and what they like. Send your friends messages from time to time and really get to know them on a personal level. People buy from people they like, when someone likes you are more apt to purchase from you.

One thing that works great to promote a vacation business on Facebook is to put your vacation pictures up on the FunWall. For example, if you just took a great trip to Disney World, you can post your pictures on your profile. Then when your friends come to see your new pictures, they will probably comment about how fun that looks. Then, eventually the conversation will shift to how great of a deal you got on your trip. This is the perfect time to let them know about your business and how you can help them create such wonderful memories for their family.

Another way to promote your business online is with Facebook groups. These groups are people with common interests, who are like-minded. You’ll find there are many options for groups within Facebook: religion, geography, high school class, alma mater, sports, politics, music and movies are just a few. You want to join these groups and begin to meet the people within those groups.

What are you doing? That, is a question called status. By simply answering the question: “what are you doing?” you open yet another opportunity to meet new people and promote your business. You can get as personal or as vague as you wish. You may be watching your son play basketball, typing your resignation letter, or maybe you went out into the woods to find some beautiful fall leaves. No matter what your doing, it allows your friends to stay in touch with you and connect with you.

Ever read a great article online? links are the place that you want to share those. Blog posts, your video channel, or perhaps the latest updates on American Idol. Your shared links can be news, pictures, videos, or perhaps even to announce you’ve added a new post to your business blog.

No matter what your experience is online, Facebook is a great way to connect and promote your business. It will allow you to increase your income.

Are you coming out of the corporate world looking for a turnkey home business for moms to accommodate your hectic lifestyle? If this is you, I’d like to share with you what I believe are the 3 most vital characteristics of the perfect home business for ex-corporate mothers.

Now you may have figured out that I’m no mother, however, my wife happens to be and she has shared quite a bit with me on this topic. So, that said, I’ll share mostly from her perspective. So here are the three areas that are critical in finding a turnkey business for specifically designed for mothers:

1. Automation – without this critical component you may become a slave to your new business and that would be of no benefit to you or your family.

2. Leverage – the power of leverage and the ability to get paid whether you are present (actually there) or not is huge. It’s amazing to see my wife come home from running errands and come home to check her computer to find that she made a few bucks during her short time away.

3. Outsourcing – the ability to bring on project workers to handle the ugly technical minutia most people get stuck in is huge too. Sites like elance.com and rentacoder.com are great places to find help for a myriad of mundane tasks you’d rather not deal with.

I’ll warn you, many businesses aren’t designed to accommodate the busy work from home mother. Many of them require meetings, events and other time commitments that aren’t so easy to accommodate. See the turnkey business for moms that my wife seems to enjoy provides flexibility and the opportunity to take time off and not miss a beat. With our family being her first priority, flex time and working her own hours (even if its after the kids are down) is perfectly fine with her.

The bullet points I’ve shared above have made life and working from home so much easier for us. As my wife fulfills her role as the proverbial “Glue” in our family, our turnkey home business ebbs and flows with her. Now that’s the “KEY” to turnkey!

Just being a passenger on a ship doesn’t really appeal to the people that really want to take matters in their own hands. These are the people that want to take the wheel, feel the waves and the sea under their palms and go in whatever direction they want to go. Being aboard a ship on its way to a great destination is one thing but steering your way to that destination is what creating a top affiliate marketing business is really all about.

What does a person need to have real success in an affiliate marketing business? What are the characteristics you must have to make it long term? There are five essentials you need to possess if you want to achieve greatness in this business. These five essentials you may never let go of if you are going to stand out in the crowd.

1. The very first quality you must possess in the affiliate marketing business is the willingness to learn and be trained. Finding your way through unfamiliar territory can be scary if you aren’t properly equipped. Learning the little tricks of the trade is a vitally important aspect of the game.

2. The second characteristic you must have is the willingness to invest time and effort even if you don’t see the results immediately. Sometimes several months may pass without any sales, but it is important to be patient enough to hold on and wait for the results you’re after. This quality will save you from giving up after investing countless hours in your business.

3. The third quality you must possess is self-determination. If you want to make it in this tough affiliate marketing business, you must push yourself ahead no matter what. A never die attitude is what every affiliate marketer needs to survive in this competitive game. Being able to motivate yourself is what is going to get you there in the end.

4. The fourth quality you need is discipline. Once you know how to propel yourself to work everyday with all the energy you can muster, then you are very close to achieving what your goals are as an affiliate marketer.

5. The fifth and last quality you absolutely have to have is optimism. Your negative attitudes or thoughts should not hinder you from pursuing what you have to do everyday to make your business successful. Nor should you let anyone influence your attitude about your business. Once your in, your in, period.

The essentials to succeed in the affiliate marketing business are diverse, but the most important thing you need to reach your goals are within you. When you have an insistent desire to do everything you need to realize your goals, then you’ll have the essentials to keep going and make it big. Affiliate marketing is all about putting your destination into you own hands. A determined attitude is vital to steering your ship through turbulent waters to ensure the peace of calm waters will be found ahead.

2. Leverage – the power of exponential growth and earning income around the clock is critical to staying balanced and keeping a happy family.

3. Outsourcing – the ability to hire an expert to do the little things you’re not so good at or just don’t enjoy is very important to your long term success. Losing momentum because your are stuck plowing through arduous tasks you can’t stand is not my idea (or my wife’s) of an enjoyable work at home career.

Not every business meets this criteria which may disqualify if from “Turnkey business for moms” category. I completely (well maybe not completely) understand the special role wives and mothers play that requires a flexible business that can be run and managed around much more important family commitments.

Thinking about starting your own website? The good news is that free web hosting is available at many sites. There are many things to consider before you make this decision and investing your time and energy in building your site.

Think about the purpose of your website. Do you want community? Want to stay in touch with your friends? Then you should check out Facebook and Myspace. These sites are social networking sites. There are many of these sites operating today, so check with your friends to see where they are already hosted.

For the photo buff you will want to consider a photo friendly site. While all the free web space hosts give you the ability to load your photos, web hosts such as flicker specialize in this area.

Many of the free web space hosts give you options such as templates and add on features. What they offer will vary depending on the host.

If you are interested in displaying Adsense advertisements and possibly generate a little revenue to support your website then you might consider Blogspot. This site is owned by Google, and they do allow Adsense ad blocks to be shown on these sites.

One key part of having a website is the identity, and the domain name is a big part of that. When you use a free web space host your site location, the address used to find you on the web, will be a combination of your unique name and the host site. One example is a site hosted on blogspot: http://atravel-adventure.blogspot.com. , which has their own name integrated with the hosts name.

If you are set on having your own domain name, like http://afreewebspace.com, you will have more latitude as far as the type of site you will have, such as an html site or a content management system, or CMS site, which we will discuss in the next article in this series. You will have costs involved for a hosting service.

One thing for sure, if you find that your free web space is not going to give you all the features you would like, you can always change to another site. Youre not out any money, just your time. You can keep your free site up and running and link to your new site.

The best thing about free web hosting is that your photos and ideas are safe in the event you have a computer crash or other data catastrophe. While not meant to be a data storage space, you can always retrieve your photos from your online space.

Having a free web space is easy, and the best part is that it is free! Have a little fun with the idea, and check out some of the hosting spaces we have discussed in this article. Make your presence known!

Free web hosting is a reality that many have taken advantage of over the past several years. There are many professional looking websites that offer some flexibility in the appearance of your website, and learning to work within these hosting sites is easy.

Social networking is a popular type of website these days, and there are many free web space possibilities like Facebook and Myspace. These sites are intended to connect with your friends, and build new friendships. You have some flexibility as to who can view your website as well.

Are you looking for good hosting for your photo you might want to check out Flicker, though the social networking sites will serve you as well in displaying many photos.

One consideration when choosing a free web space is the options available. There will likely be limits as to the templates and backgrounds available, as well as add on features.

Do you plan to use your site to generate revenue by displaying ads? You will want to look at Blogspot for your free hosting. Adsense, one of the biggest ad based revenue resources, is owned by Google. Blogspot is owned by Google. Put two and two together, and these two aspects of the Google empire can be just what you are looking for.

One of the disadvantages of a free web space is the name of your website. Though you will have a little creative latitude on a portion of the name, it will always contain your free web space domain name as well. One example of this is http://atravel-adventure.blogspot.com. The host domain is blogspot, with the subdomain atravel-adventure.

If you are dead set on having your own domain name, one likehttp://afreewebspace.com, , you will need to arrange for a hosting service, which steps you out of the free hosting level into paid hosting. The great thing about paid hosting is that you can host multiple sites and will have greater latitude in what features you can have for your site. Your own site can be set up with basic html pages, or use a content management system, which we will discuss in our next article.

One thing for sure, if you find that your free web space is not going to give you all the features you would like, you can always change to another site. Youre not out any money, just your time. You can keep your free site up and running and link to your new site.

One good thing about having a free web space is that you have storage off site for your photos and ideas. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone praise their online free web site for keeping their precious photos when they suffer a computer crash or otherwise lose data.

There is no doubt about it, free web space hosting is the way to go for that starter website. Either way, your voice will be heard through your words and picture, or literally though MP3 files on your site.

There are many options available to us these days for free web hosting. Before you leap into a free hosting site there are things to consider. Building and promoting a website takes time, and you can lose many good features by choosing the wrong host.

Why do you want a website? Is it for connecting with your friends, and making new friends? Social networking is a big industry these days, with many sites such as Facebook and MySpace. You can easily invite and connect with your people.

Are you looking for good hosting for your photo you might want to check out Flicker, though the social networking sites will serve you as well in displaying many photos.

One consideration when choosing a free web space is the options available. There will likely be limits as to the templates and backgrounds available, as well as add on features.

There is yet another level to free web hosting that many of these free sites do not allow, and that is the display of ads. Sure, you can talk about something you offer, and provide links to other sites, but many have it in their sign up that commercial sites are not allowed. Some do allow Google Adsense, such as the Blogspot site now owned by Google.

Depending on the type of site you want to have, you may have to think about paid hosting. For example, if you want your own domain name, like http://afreewebspace.com, , you will need to find a hosting site and purchase your domain name. Having your own host gives you more control as to the design and features of your site. One options is using a content management system, which we will talk about in the next article in this series.

Check out some of the free web space hosting sites to compare services available. Even if you outgrow your free web space hosting over time you can always link it to a new site, such as your own domain, and flow the traffic you have built to the new location.

One good thing about having a free web space is that you have storage off site for your photos and ideas. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard someone praise their online free web site for keeping their precious photos when they suffer a computer crash or otherwise lose data.

It is always astonishing to me the number of new Network Marketers I mentor that come to me with no real plan for their business whatsoever. It is no wonder that so many are calling it quits before they really get started.

The solid plan is the basis for your success in any endeavor and especially when you are starting a business. I guess because of the somewhat casual nature, low start up costs and sponsors there to help, many don’t really take their businesses seriously enough to think they need a real plan.

In many cases, I’ve asked individuals if they have a plan of action and they quickly respond, “Oh yeah, I’ve got a plan of action!” Then I ask them to produce it for me. I tell them that I’d like to take a look at it and more often than not they tell me that it’s in their head. Well here is what I’ll say to that, If your plan is in your head, then more than likely your success will be in your head too!

This may seem a little negative but it is true and the truth isn’t always so pretty. It’s only when we realize the gravity of where we are can we make the changes we need.

Think of it this way, let’s say a football team went into a game with no set plays or strategy to take on their competition. They hadn’t watched any footage of the other teams strengths or weaknesses and were just flying by the seat of their pants on every play. How do you think they would do during the season with that approach?

That’s right, they’d have a terrible season and it wouldn’t be any one’s fault but their own. This is what I see going on with Network Marketers starting home businesses without a game plan.

I have realized at this point that most home business start-ups are comprised of some type of quick-start training and immediately followed by marketing efforts. In essence, it’s as if they got trained what to do but never prepared a game plan on how to implement what they’d learned so they wallow around trying different things they learned hoping that something works.

We all know that doesn’t work in any business or endeavor and that proper planning produces peak performance, right?

So, that said, here is what I suggest you do first. Get out a piece of paper and write down your five year, one year, six month, 3 month and one month goals. Then start with your one month goal and determine what it’s going to take every day for you to reach that goal. Once you’ve written these steps, stick to them, never quit and watch your business grow.

I can’t begin to work out a complete, detailed plan of action for you in this short white space but I hope this has given you an idea of its importance to your success. Check out my website as you’ll find some more information on my personal Network Marketing plan that may help you as well.

About the Author:

Most of the training and consulting I’ve done with new Network Marketers has lead me to one conclusion. No one has a plan. Going at it this way is a recipe for disaster and the unfortunate reason more that 95% on Network Marketers are still failing miserably today.

The solid plan is the basis for your success in any endeavor and especially when you are starting a business. I guess because of the somewhat casual nature, low start up costs and sponsors there to help, many don’t really take their businesses seriously enough to think they need a real plan.

Oftentimes I’ll ask my trainees to provide their plan for me in writing. I ask them to fax or email it to me so I can take a look and see where they are. The majority of the time I hear that they don’t have anything to send but they can tell me over the phone. This is like driving a semi truck down hill, with their eyes closed with no brakes when it comes to business.

This may seem a little negative but it is true and the truth isn’t always so pretty. It’s only when we realize the gravity of where we are can we make the changes we need.

Let’s look at a sports analogy for a minute. Let’s just say a professional baseball team never wrote down their plays and practiced them consistently. They had talent or “potential” but they would never commit to practicing any set plays. What might their season look like?

That’s right, they’d have a terrible season and it wouldn’t be any one’s fault but their own. This is what I see going on with Network Marketers starting home businesses without a game plan.

I have realized at this point that most home business start-ups are comprised of some type of quick-start training and immediately followed by marketing efforts. We all know that doesn’t work in any business or endeavor and that proper planning produces peak performance, right?

Committing your plan of action to paper is critically important to your overall success in your Network Marketing business. Without a clearly defined map or blueprint, very few achieve success. Break down your goals into little action steps that eventually get down to what you need to do every single day to reach those goals. Don’t fall victim to the number one reason Network Marketers are failing today, a lack of planning.

There are many other practicals that I go over in detail on my site that you may want to take a look at. This information could make the difference between success and failure as I know it has for me.

About the Author:

There are definitely some do’s and don’ts when it comes to making money on MySpace. I learned the hard way when I first started social networking. I thought I had struck gold and everyone wanted to buy my stuff right off the bat. I couldn’t have been more wrong but after learning some simple techniques I have been able to make thousands of dollars on MySpace.

I’m going to lay a basic foundation for you to follow which should really get you off to a fast and profitable start. So here goes:

You may or may not have heard of friend adder software to use on MySpace. Either way, I believe it is essential if you are planning on making money in the short term. The faster you can gather and add friends to your profile, the faster you build relationships, the faster you determine who is candidate for your products or services. Time is money and you risk wasting a lot of both by doing things manually.

In business, focus is everything! Find out who your target market is and add them as friends. These will be the people most likely to purchase your product. This is called working closest to the dollar. Making friends with people for the sake of friendship should be done another time, which leads me to my next point.

Do not get caught up in the minutia of social marketing or you will find yourself wasting a lot of time. If you decide that you want to do more socializing than marketing then set up a new account for that and set a time for those activities. If you have a product or service that you want to offer that is unrelated to your target market, I recommend setting up another profile for that product or service.

Stay on message. If you are promoting dog supplies on MySpace then it is okay to introduce cat supplies or other general pet supplies. On the other hand, your audience will not be expecting you to start promoting financial services and thus you will lose credibility. Again, open another account if you want to promote products or services in a completely different niche.

While building individual relationships, use the bulletins, groups, forums and comments to subtly expose your product or service to the community. Only use the messages t communicate with people on a personal level until you feel you have built a strong enough rapport to present your offer.

The guidelines I’ve shared above will ensure your success in the world of social networking. Never forget that you are in business and present yourself accordingly for maximum profits. Now get out there and start profiting.

Getting traffic to your website is a major key to getting sales and making money. You can either pay for traffic with time or you pay with money and many times it is both. Even with pay-per-click, you will usually spend a significant amount of time in addition to a cost for each click to get targeted traffic to your website. The following are a few ways that you can get free traffic. Some of these are going to produce more targeted traffic than others, but each of these methods can get traffic to your website.

Starting a blog, whether on your own domain or even on a hosted site such as Blogger.com or Wordpress.com can give you a great advantage over just a regular website. The main thing that makes blogs great for getting traffic is that they have a built-in RSS feed. These RSS feeds allow search engines and several other directories or engines to index the content of blogs and do this very easily.

There are several social bookmarking sites, such as Digg.com and Del.icio.us and other sites like this. You can “bookmark” your own blog posts and other pages to help them get ranked in the search engines. Often times these social bookmarking “tag” pages will get ranked as well. Although this isn’t a direct link, these pages can serve as bridge pages with links back to your site and these pages rank also rank very well with the search engines.

There are dozens of places on the internet that you can create mini-sites or individual pages. These sites typically will allow you to post whatever content you want to post including your own RSS feeds from your blog, other websites, articles, video or whatever else you’d like to create in these pages. The main key to success with these types of sites is to make sure that you’re posting links back to your website, especially the deep links. Those RSS feeds included in the mini-sites or pages are a great way to get links back to your site. Also, create an individual text links using html or even images.

Next to pay-per-click, articles are the best way to get your website ranked and get traffic back to your website. The main reason these article websites are so good is because the pages on which your article shows up are very relevant and the links that are allowed in the author profile or resource box. Many of the good article sites also have a lot of “authority” with the search engines and their article pages rank very well which also means that the link values passed along from these types of sites are very high.

Posting on forums is another great way to generate links back to you site. Find forums within your niche and start contributing to the conversations. Make sure that you’re posting on forums that allow you to add a signature with a link. Also, whenever possible, view the source on forums and see if they add a “nofollow” attrib within the link code. If they do, that forum won’t do much for your search engine optimization, but will work for getting clicks back to your website.

Many blogs get a lot of traffic and with the comments you can add on a lot these blogs, you’ll get people clicking through to your website. There are also what are called “dofollow” blogs that will help you with your search engine optimization as well.

There are several things that you can do to help you get traffic to your site. These are only a handful of ways you can use. The more time you spend trying these things out, the more you’ll learn and the better you’ll get at getting rankings and traffic.

What would probably be considered the original “Web 2.0″ would be forums. Anything where you can interact in a community type setting with something topical or niche specific. Many forums will allow you to add a signature to the end of each of your postings. Depending on the forum, you can put a link back to your website, usually using whatever keywords you want to. Depending on your contributions in the forums as well as the call to action in your signature, you’ll get visits to your site as well as the search engine benefit of having those keyword phrases linked back to your website.

The following are a few ways that you can get free traffic. Some of these are going to produce more targeted traffic than others, but each of these methods can get traffic to your website.

Blogging is one of the easiest ways to get free traffic, but like any other website, you still have to get traffic to the main blog. However, blogs have a major advantage over regular websites because they have an RSS feed built in. Also, depending on which blogging platform you use, there are some instant advantages because if you use wordpress.com, the domain tends to rank very well with the search engines. Also, Google owns Blogger.com and has a tendency to “hang out” on their own properties looking for new updated content.

Social bookmarking is a great way to get easy links back to your main website and depending on the type of social bookmark site you’re using, you’ll have the opportunity to get a lot of traffic back to your website. Digg.com is one of the examples of this type of site that has the capacity to drive a tremendous amount of traffic back to your site. If you are interested in looking more into the social bookmarking scene, do some research on the top 100 “diggers” or “stumblers”.

Some other sites that can help you get traffic and rank well on their own are sites like Hubpages.com and Squidoo.com. If you have done your keyword research and know what keywords are getting searched for, you’ll have an easy time finding keywords that are getting searched, but have very little competition. Using these keywords in the title of your Squidoo “Lens” or your Hubpages “Hub”. Using the keywords in both your title and again throughout the page you create then doing some additional social bookmarking links back to your “Lens” or “Hub” and watch it get ranked in the search engines.

There are a lot of blogs that you can add your comment to. These comments can be used for the search engine benefit by using your keyword phrase as the link back to your site. If the blog is a “popular” blog where many people add comments, the webmaster or blog owner may have a setting that prevent the search engine from giving credit for that link. In those cases, you can use the more popular blogs to link back to your site and simply get some clicks back to your site. This puts some of the pressure on to write comments that encourage the clicks.

Getting free traffic, or even paying for traffic is just the start to making sales and making money. These techniques can be used for non-ecommerce related sites as well.

Backlinks are a popular SEO method that is increasingly being used to promote a website and to attract traffic in the websites direction. Building backlinks can take a long time, but the results are well worth all of the hours of effort poured into developing those links.

Forum posting and submitting articles are two of the easiest ways to build backlinks. Having a simple link in a signature or within an article can direct plenty of attention to your website. If you or someone else uses your link in an irrelevant place, it probably wont do your website too much good. It is almost crucial for your link to be in relevant places, not just shoved somewhere.

It is a good idea to use natural methods for building backlinks. These can take longer, but look better overall. If someone visits your website, and then goes to use your link in a signature, an article, or anywhere else, that is natural. They are giving you traffic and popularity without you asking them to, or paying them.

When building backlinks for SEO, it is distasteful to spam your link across other peoples websites. It is also not advisable to do too much at once. Building backlinks is a precise effort that takes time, and should not be rushed through.

Link exchanges can be a beneficial way to build backlinks as well, but it is not always recommended. Having too many outbound links can be bad for your site, so its not recommended that you get too over the top with them. If you do link exchanges to build backlinks, then you should always choose websites or blogs that have the same subject matter as your website.

Social networking websites can also aide in your backlink building process. The more popular your page, the more backlinks are built, and the more traffic you get. It is a natural process that works by spreading of popularity, and it doesn’t look overly suspicious or tacky. Another way to build backlinks for SEO is to have quality content. Interesting and informative articles or posts placed where others can see them, are a good way to get people to backlink to your site.

Closing Comments

Building backlinks for SEO is a fun, yet tedious project. It can take awhile for results to show, but it is important that you do not give up on it. The more backlinks, the better, as long as they are relevant backlinks, versus spammed links.

The days of anonymity are gone. The internet has opened the doorways to instant information ranging from information on local restaurants to opinions and helpful tips on just about every topic. Just about everyone has a story, something to share with the world. Are you ready to share your ideas with the world? There are many avenues you can take to be seen and heard on the internet.

Blogging is one option for bringing your message to the world. Blogs vary from the online diary concept to product reviews, opinions, and tips.

There’s many free blogging sites offered on the internet these days, each with their own rules and regulations to keep each personal site within the standards of safety. The variety of themes are limited, as well as the additional features such as ads, polls, and other add on components.

While there are many blogging sites that are completely dedicated to their content, there are just as many that offer both content and advertisements. One example is blogger, a site now owned by Google. One of the components you can add to your blog is Google Adsense ads, which may generate some income from click throughs on the ads, though many will tell you that click through ads are not going to bring in any sizable revenue.

Are you short on time, or just seeking to make a one time statement? You might want to consider a pod. Pods give you the chance to tell your story or share your views in a single posting, which means far less commitment to updating content. There are fewer features on pods, but they do offer the basics, such as photos and links.

Social networking communities are another route that has attracted millions. Facebook and MySpace are two of the most popular sites. The focus of these sites caters toward the people, not so much the message they offer. They are community based, which means building a list of friends who also have pages in the community.

The internet today offers us many opportunities to be seen and heard. These social oriented avenues are easy to set up and maintain, and can range from a limited viewing audience to world-wide fame. Joining these communities is free, and takes only minutes. Let your opinions be known through one of the many online communities.

With the web, you can start online business friendships and increase your business success simply by leveraging your social networks. Now, this used to be done one at a time in the old days, but now with the development of social networking websites, you can connect with thousands at once, and communicate with them using rich media containing text, voice, pictures and even movies.

These social networking sites are social because many people can interact on a single website. You start off by joining one of these social networking websites and creating a profile containing some information about you or your business. Include the skill sets you have, or the interests you have, and others can find you and get in touch with you by searching for these same things.

Sites like Twitter are really easy to use – you just sign up and post a sentence about yourself, and it is instantly available for the world to see and interact with. Other websites like Facebook are huge, with thousands of things you can do, and with tens of millions of other users, there’s no limit to the amount of people you can reach. If you interact with the groups and discussions on these kinds of sites, you can really reach a lot of people quickly.

Something else you can do on sites like Facebook is connect with well known people – famous people, rich people, and so on – and interact with them online. There simply is no better way to start online business relations that can make a huge impact on your success.

These social networking sites will also give you clues about things that others are doing to start a online business, and you can use these ideas and processes for starting online business ideas you have.

On these sites, you may also connect with members with problems and desires that can make you money. You can take these problems and desires and deliver something to fulfill them, and make a profit from it.

By being active on these social networking websites, you also get the benefits of more visitors to your main website, improved listings in the search engines, and more links pointing to your website, simply by adding a link to your pages and profile.

Networking on these social websites is an important step if you start a online business, and if you get active and start online business relationships, you can leverage them for years to come. This relationship equity in your business can become more valuable than everything else in your business.

What is the one thing we ALL need to make money on the Internet?

Traffic of course.

It doesn’t matter what your niche is or what you’re selling, if you don’t get traffic to your site, you won’t make any money.

But there is an effective and fast way to get traffic to your website.

Using Social Marketing websites!

There are millions and millions of people using Social Marketing websites like MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, Digg, Propeller etc. Done correctly, you can you can use these sites to get a huge amount of traffic to your site very quickly.

You might be asking… “So what is Social Marketing anyway?”

Well, Social Marketing is sites like I mentioned earlier that are controlled and powered by the users of the site and not the owners. If the users like a specific piece of content, they will reward it by “digging” it, “propping” it or in other words, sharing it with the other members of their community.

This is the main part behind Social Media sites… if you provide great quality content that is useful and entertaining to others, your readers will want to share your content with the rest of their community. This will not only reward you with more people checking out your content but it also creates valuable back-links to your site.

On the other hand if you don’t provide great quality content, your readers won’t want to share it with their community and you will be ignored, penalized or even worse… banned!

The secret to using Social Media sites is knowing how to create your profiles properly and how to use each site most effectively.

There are two ways to effectively create profiles and set up your account: SLOW TRACK OPTION:

-sign up to all these accounts

-go into these communities and spend time doing what the other members are doing

-once you understand the process, get involved and then eventually submit some of your own content

But be careful, you don’t want to submit your own content too fast. You also don’t want to submit too much of your own content.

Getting to know how each of these Social Media sites operate can really be time consuming but their is shortcut. FAST TRACK OPTION:

There is a brand new course called Social Traffic Explosion that is full of insider information delivered on 8 different videos, which shows you step-by-step:

There are many ways that you can leverage the internet, including several free resources to get traffic to your website. If you don’t have a website yet, you’ll need one for some of these processes to work most effectively, but there are still options included in this article for those of you without a website yet.

Articles like this one are great means of getting traffic to a website and also an easy means of getting your business contact information out to the masses. Assuming you produce good content, there is no shortage of opportunities to get your articles published and read. Be sure to have a strong call to action.

Google has local listings as well that you can submit your business information to. The options to submit your site will include rankings for regionally specific keywords such as “Salt Lake City plumber” which will include your listing along with other plumbers in that same area. You may be surprised to find that if you’re listed as a local business elsewhere, your information may already be included. If not, you can always add it and also customize it to include a link to your website as well.

Another service similar to the local listings is Google base which is Google’s way of creating listings of events, products, photos, and just about anything else that people submit. This is a great way to get your products to show up in Google’s search listings. It doesn’t cost anything to list in Google Base and also has options for uploading spreadsheets.

Online classified ad websites such as Craigslist are great ways to get the word out about new products, new events, products for sale and can be a great way to list regionally specific sales as well. One strategy that works great for online classifieds is a coupon code that can be used on a website or printed out and brought into a store. People tend to respond to offers where there is a “special” deal or even a perceived deal.

Social networking has grown significantly in the last few years online and you may have heard of this as “Web 2.0″. You can use a lot of these social networking sites to develop contacts who can benefit from your products and services. Just like the name implies, however, you’ll need to network with other people. The benefit to you if you’re a bit more on the shy side, or not usually extroverted, the internet provides a bit of a buffer and will allow you to get out there and form some relationships and get some additional business to your website.

Another way to get traffic to your site is to comment on other people’s blogs. This works the best when you have blogs that get a lot of comments and posts that get a lot of views. Adding a comment that provides insight and adds value to the original message will get people more interested in what you have to say on your website which will create traffic to your site, and depending on the blog will also create some search engine optimization benefits and help you with your website’s ranking.

There are several things you can do to get traffic to your website and if you’re wiling to spend the time, you can get a lot of traffic for free. These are only a few of the methods that I use.

Social Networking and Web2.0 – these are among the latest buzzwords which you’ll be hearing a lot of if you aren’t already. If you are at all engaged in current developments, you have probably heard about these by now and are aware that social networking sites are a type of website which aim to bring together people with similar interests. Among the most heavily used of these sites are LinkedIn, MySpace and Facebook.

Website owners should see an opportunity here; after all, where there are people there are opportunities to get traffic to their websites. If you want to use social networking to get more traffic to your site, then what you have to do is to bring together a group of people who may have some interest in your offerings and convince them to come to your site to learn more about the subject. However, if you are trying to generate leads for your business, there are a few challenges presented by the use of social networking sites to drive traffic.

Firstly, the target audience is very often in the sub-30 age group. If your product or service is aimed at HR managers who tend to be aged 35-40+, pretty conservative and aren’t necessarily trawling Myspace all the time, then you may not actually be able to generate very high-quality content by using this type of technique.

Secondly, social network users are notoriously resistant to being pitched to, so you need to be subtle and have a subtle entre to your products offered, rather than just smashing them with your ad or your specific offer. You have to provide value and be a leader within the community. You also have to have the right product or service.

My colleague Nick Schoonen has a blog (rczero.com) which is target towards remote control enthusiasts – remote control planes, cars and so on. He also has a plan to monetize the site; while I won’t get into that here, I will mention that he has been very successful at using social networking to drive traffic to his site. The reason that he has been such a success at this is that the audience he is going for is more or less the same one as is to be found on these social networking sites.

Let’s suppose that your service was rubbish removal. It’s pretty hard to imagine setting up a community on Myspace all around rubbish removal and hope to get people to your site, because people frankly aren’t interested in that unless they have a need for it right at that moment.

Social networking sites are not necessarily the best place for your business’ lead generation efforts, in other words. It all depends on your product; other strategies may be far more cost effective for you. Before resorting to social networking to drive traffic to your site, I would urge you to try out some other strategies.

In creating the best home based business possible, you will want to engage the services of various professionals who can help you in the creation and development of your business. You need to understand that you do not have to go it alone when it comes to creating the best home based business.

Never forget that the most important thing to do is to act. When in doubt, take action and use it as a learning experience if things don’t go as planned. Nothing is going to change if you don’t start working from home right away. Work hard and work smart.

The most popular kinds of businesses that people set up to run from home are those that require very little capital or very little equipment. Certainly, in recent years we have seen an increase in the number of people who have chosen to have internet home based businesses. This is because they often need no or very little capital in order to get them up and running.

The sure fire way to succeed is to do your research and know the amount of work that will be involved in order to get your business off the ground. Many times a business you start from home can run with very little input from you once you have established yourself.

Become an expert in at least one form of Internet marketing and master it. For example, if you like to talk to people you might consider doing social networking. This can be easily done by blogging and social bookmarking and you may want to become an expert on how to do that.

The key aspect of a one man home based business that you can excel in to beat multinational corporations is to be flexible and service oriented. Most people in MNCs work under a bureaucracy with policies governing everything. In your business, you govern your business. Go that extra mile to make your business flexible to service your customers well, and it will flourish.

Your home based business should be the one that will suit you best. This means that it should be somewhere in your field and somewhere that you are knowledgeable about in order to make it work. Here’s how you can choose the best kind of home based business for you.

Another key ingredient to build a successful business at home is consistency. Have you ever heard of overweight people going to the Gym, working out ‘once in a way’ and becoming strong and trim? In the same way, building a home business requires self discipline and consistent effort.

Starting a home based internet business can be done with a very limited budget and effort. All you need to have is the idea of what you want to sell. You do not even need to have full stock of your merchandise.

Web 2.0 is the sharing of data and information on the internet. One of the fastest growing advertising methods is the use of internet marketing. In recent times the development of social networking as an advertising tool has created new advantages for companies. Social networking gives you the power of word of mouth and networking but online. One of the problems of social networking is the amount of time it can take. By outsourcing offshore staff to complete these social networking tasks it has become affordable for all businesses to benefit from this new form of internet advertising. Could your business benefit from online salespeople promoting your business and product?

Social networking encompasses many different aspects. Some forms of social networking include forums, blogs and social sites such as Myspace and Facebook. This is a relatively new form of advertising but is proving very profitable for many small to medium companies. Outsourcing offshore staff will give you access to this form of advertising at very affordable rates and saving you time.

Word of mouth advertising is critical to any business. It may be difficult to comprehend but people are able to make huge amounts of sales and money by becoming professional bloggers and forum writers. The power of social networking creates referred customers as well as one way links and better search engine rankings for your website. Outsourcing offshore writers gives you the leverage to market and benefit on the net without the time issues.

Using social networking as a form of advertising requires a different tact and skills set. If you just blog or advertise your products it will not be very successful. To be a successful social networker you need to show people you are an expert on your topic. The second critical step is to provide the forum or the reader with valuable information. If you do not do this you will probably be banned for spamming. Imagine if you were at a seminar and someone just posted an advertisement and left. Would you purchase from them? You must work hard at providing information and creating relationships with others in the forum to ensure you are the ‘expert’.

Blogging resources and websites are everywhere on the net. Blogging is critical for all online businesses trying to increase their sales by driving traffic to your website. The power of blogging is in the new pages and links created on your website. This increases search engine rankings if you are able to write the blogs using keywords about your products and services.

As in all businesses time is an issue. By outsourcing offshore staff your business can use social networking as its newest marketing tool at prices all companies can afford. The short term benefits include driving customers directly to your site from the blog or forum as well as the word of mouth referrals. The major long term benefits include people stumbling across your writing and the search engine optimization you will also receive.

Everyone can use social networking as a competitive marketing advantage. New thoughts and ideas can create uncertainty but this is one of the best methods of “free” advertising online. To reap the rewards in business you must stay ahead of your competitors. People are using this form of advertising but if you act now you could very well be one of the few or perhaps the only business in your industry using social network marketing.

Today, I want to tell you a bit about the best techniques for getting traffic to your site in the interests of business lead generation. It’s more than just getting people to your site – you need to attract visitors who are in a position to make or influences purchases. This makes traffic driving strategies for business lead generation a whole different ballgame than driving traffic for other purposes.

You can use social networks to bring in a lot of visitors to your site; you can even get thousands of visitors each month – but if you are trying to sell high priced products to large companies, these are not necessarily the visitors you are trying to reach. There’s also the problem that the internet is constantly changing.

Traffic generation methods change almost as often as do the algorithms used by search engines. When Google and other important companies make changes to the way they do things, effective traffic generation strategies can change at a moment’s notice. For this reason, we’re going to look at traffic generation methods which will keep being effective for the long run. Now, let’s have a brief look at the strategies we’ll be going into more deeply another time.

Local Search – advertising in a local market on the internet

Pay Per Click Advertising – paying for each visitor that comes to your website via the ad

Search Engine Optimisation (or SEO) – getting your site ranked higher by search engines using keywords

Blogging – publishing an online journal of sorts

Social Networking and Web 2.0 – using social networks such as Myspace, Facebook and other sites to reach different communities and convince people to visit your site

Offline Traffic Generation – using traditional media like print, radio, TV and others to get visitors to your website

Name Capture and Follow-up, this is getting the details of people on your website and then following up with them on a sequential basis to get them coming back again and again

I want to talk about some of the key distinctions that make the difference between average and outstanding performance, for each strategy. Let’s start with ‘Local Search’

Local search is basically targeted internet advertising but just in your local area. If you have a business that works well or used to work well in the Yellow Pages, then local search could be a highly effective method for you and there are a number of services that deliver local search services.

Google Local is one of the best; it is essentially a part of the Google AdWords program and lets you advertise using local keywords – “pest control Melbourne”, for instance. When someone searches using this term a map will show up in Google showing your location as well as a link to your site.

In Google, local search is very prominent. This will show up better than will the regular search results; which is why I recommend this program highly.

There are of course other local search services. Among these are City Search, True Local and Yellow Pages Online. Make sure to look into the conversion rates and traffic generation made possible by these service to make sure you are making good use of your advertising budget.

Do you know what Twitter is? If not, you should – it’s one of the hottest web 2.0 things going right now! Twitter is a website that enables you to send out little “micro-blogs” of 140 characters or less to anyone that’s following you (that’s like friends in Facebook). You can let people know what you’re doing at any time, and this can be pretty cool. These messages can be business or personal, and should be both.

For you internet marketers, obviously you’re going to want some of your “tweets” to be concerning your business. For example, if you post a new Squidoo lens, tweet it. If you learn about a cool new website, let your followers know.

At the same time, if you just post business-related activities, people are going to think that’s all you care about and you’re going to lose them. There’s a reason that web 2.0 is called “social networking”. It’s because you need to be “social”, talk about nothing or everything, and let people know who you are. I know, many people are totally wrapped up in their business, to the exclusion of pretty much anything else (including a life), but you need to find something!

Maybe you liked Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight. Maybe you’re a fan of the Yankees. Or maybe you hate the Yankees because you’re a fan of the Red Sox. Maybe you’ve got kids, ride bikes, volunteer at a soup kitchen, etc. Let people see the real you, and they’ll probably like what they see.

Here are 7 things I do to build my twitter empire in the most efficient way possible.

1. Find a bunch of people to follow. What you need to do is find someone that has similar interests as you and follow everyone they are following. Eventually, you’re going to get to the point where you’re following 2000 people, and twitter won’t let you follow any more. They must have some kind of system where they limit you to 2000 unless you have more people following you, because I have seen people that are following more than 2000. Here’s what will happen – if you follow enough people, many of them will follow you back. At that point, send them a friendly message, and invite them to take a look at your blog.

2. When someone follows you, follow them back. Pretty soon, people will start to follow you that you didn’t follow in the first place. (They probably found you the same way you got started). When they follow you, follow them and send a similar message to them as you did above. If you’re already at 2000 people, go in and delete a few that aren’t following you. I get rid of the ones that don’t have a picture, because they probably aren’t too serious about Twitter. Which leads to point 3.

3. Personalize your site. Add your picture. Write about yourself, and post a background image. Put your blog or website link on it. Remember, you need to be social – even if you’re not!

4. If you’re on Facebook, tie it together with Twitter. If you’re not on Facebook, get with it! It’s crucial that you’re on the most popular social sites, and Facebook is definitely up there in the top 2. When you tie them together, it makes it so that when you send a tweet, it automatically updates the “what are you doing” part of Facebook. By the way, you can find friends on Facebook the same way you did on Twitter.

5. Check out twhirl.com. This is a program you download to your computer that sits on your desktop and display tweets from others without having to have your browser open. Of course, you can post your own tweets there, too. One neat thing about twhirl is it has a built-in url shortener in it. If you have a long link to post, you might now have enough space. In twhirl, you can just enter the link into a box and click “shorten” and you’ll get a short link that you can use in your tweet.

6. Twitterfeed, for blogs. If you have a blog, you might be interested in twitterfeed. This is a website where you can register your blog or blogs, and whenver you make a post it will automatically update twitter. If works off your RSS feed and checks once an hour to see if there are any new posts out there. You can set this up at twitterfeed.com – free!

7. Sign up for automatic updates from ezinearticles.com. In the profile section of that site, you can put in your twitter username and password and it will automatically set out a tweet when an article you wrote gets approved. Very cool.

There you go! 7 ideas to make twitter better. Get out there and start tweeting soon. It will help to develop your web of content and get people to notice what you’re doing!

Many people today are consistently searching for internet marketing ideas that can assist them in making their business successful. While marketing by means of direct mail, telephone calls, business cards, fliers, and advertisements in local newspapers and magazines did seem at least a little appealing at one point in time, marketing on the internet is so much broader, easier, and overall, less expensive. In this article I will provide internet marketing ideas for the work at home mom who is seeking to save time and money on their marketing endeavors, while at the same time, looking to expand their success quickly.

Article Marketing Campaigns: One of the easiest methods of internet marketing that I conduct as an internet marketer is article marketing campaigns. This is really simple, and can be done by anyone! You basically just write an article pertaining to some aspect of your business, just not in a promotional way. Let’s say that as a work at home mom, you focus on selling homeschool curriculum. In an article marketing campaign, you may choose to write articles like, Advantages of Homeschooling, Socialization for the Home school Family, Arts and Crafts for Your Homeschooler, etc.

While these articles are geared towards homeschooling families, they are not “promotional” in nature. Once you compose your articles, you will place them in free article directories. Many free directories will even pay you a little bit of cash on the side for your content! These include the websites of eHow, Associated Content, Squidoo, and Helium. While there are many out there, these seem to pay the best and in the most consistent manner. While you are marketing, you can earn a little cash on the side until your products and/or services start to sell! If you do not have a knack for writing, that is fine. There are businesses out there, like Need-An-Article.Com, and even eHow and individual freelancers that can produce professional content for you!

MySpace: MySpace is a popular, International social networking website that you can use for internet marketing as a work at home mom. Here, you can create free promotional pages, join groups with individuals whom you consider your “target audience”, participate in forum discussions, and even post classified advertisements that can promote the products and services that you offer as a work at home mom. This type of advertising is very effective if you join the ever-popular “add me” MySpace groups, and even participate in some of the new MySpace Apps, such as “Own Everyone” and “Own Your Friends”. In many instances, it simply helps to be creative and fun when engaging in internet marketing endeavors as a work at home mom!

Well, these are the some proven ways which I use to develop my business. Internet is really a boon for the people who are engaged in business marketing, with the help of internet many people have already moved ahead in their businesses. You too can succeed in this venture if you have some creative ideas on how to develop your business better.
