The opportunities to create a profitable Internet business are tremendous but with all the people flocking to the Internet it’s difficult to find a good domain name anymore isn’t it? Certainly all the good .com names are gone and it’s getting harder to find .net, .biz, and .org domains too. It won’t be long until we’re relegated to the dreaded .info domains.

Hopefully that’s not what you really think because it simply isn’t true. It might be harder to find a good .com domain name than it was a few years ago but with a little imagination it’s still not that difficult to buy a good .com domain name. It just might take a little longer…but then again it might not.

A recent personal experience proved how many good domain names are ripe for the picking. A domain for a product that shows you how to create a physical DVD (and have it produced & shipped) for free was first on my list. After discovering createdvd.com to be taken, I found my second choice – CreateDVDProduct.com – available. Next I went looking for a domain for a product that demonstrates the ease with which you can create customized covers for CDs & DVDs. This one was little more difficult but in short order I found DVDnCDCovers.com. Both DVDs are now being sold on the respective sites.

For an online course that teaches how to create online video courses, I found CreateVideoProduct.com. That domain was found with relative ease too. These two domain names might a bit lengthy on one hand but anyone can see how quickly they convey exactly what is being sold and the search engine traffic I’m getting echos that sentiment.

You want always find it this easy though. The day will come when you might get frustrated by the challenge of finding a good .com domain for your site but all you need to do is be creative. One possibility is to try using a letter like an “a”, “e”, or “i” or a short word like in the domain name. Another possibility is using the letter n in place of the word and. Still another possibility is replacing “s” with “z”. BlogCarnivalz.com was the product of using that little trick. Notice the keyword phrase “blog carnival” is still part of the domain. Tap into your creative intuition and the ideas will flow freely. The simple fact of the matter is that good .com names are plentiful.
