On-page optimization is where you should begin and SEO campaign. What you do on your web site and various web pages has a significant impact on search engine results. Even though off-page optimization is a critical component for higher rankings, on-page techniques are essential for building a strong SEO foundation.

Here are a number of on page optimization tips and strategies you can apply immediately to enhance your website and make is truly search engine friendly. As search engines crawl your website, they can apply the proper weight to different content.

Optimize Your Web Site URL. When planning to build a new website, be very careful about the domain name you choose. Select a name that will be memorable and is something you want to build your business around. You obviously do not want to limit your options significantly. Do so can limit the future development of your business. You should however, include your keyword or keyword phrase into your URL if possible.

Optimize Your Page Title, H1 and H2 Tags. Create a title that is relevant to your site content and which is no more that 60 characters in length. The reason you want to limit the size of your title is because larger titles cannot be fully displayed on search engine results pages. The reason why the title is so important is because it gives you an opportunity to display your keywords first.

The first title or headline that appears on your web page should include your keywords. It is best to have this title display with an H1 tag which signals each search engine as to the importance of the content being displayed. The sub text should be presented with an H2 or H3 tag. This shows the search engines how important your keywords are and helps them promote the key elements of your web page.

Optimize All Your Meta Tags. SEO experts continue to debate the value of meta tags. I can tell you that although meta tags including the title, description, and keywords is less important that it was many years ago, it still plays an important role in optimization.

Search engines use meta tags as a reference for search engine crawlers that view your website content. Your meta tags need to be correlated to your content and also include your keyword phrases. Doing so creates consistency, something that search engine spiders weigh heavily when determining website rankings. Make sure you fully develop your description and keywords.

Optimize your keyword density. Keyword density is an important factor in search engine rankings. Your keyword density should be no more than 5 percent on any given page. Instead of focusing on keyword density alone, you are better off focusing on the placement of your keywords and treatment of your keywords. Focus on H1 and H2 tags and place keywords through out your web page. You should have an instance of each keyword phrase in bold, italics, and underlined to complete your on-page optimization effort.

Vary Your Keywords. The last piece for us to focus on in the area of on-page optimization is keyword density. Instead of cramming your web page with the same keyword phrase again and again, you must use variety. A great way to do this is by adding a word or two before your keyword phrase and after it. This strategy is important because it shows search engines that your website is focused and not trying to manipulate the rankings.

The most vital part of any search engine optimization campaign is to create a site that utilizes SEO but doesn’t over due it. Make your web site appear natural, include valuable content, and follow on-page optimization best practices. This will keep your site ranked well among most major search engines.

I am writing this today just to tell everyone that if you are considering doing some sort of site submit package you are about to be ripped off. This does not help your site get indexed faster or rank better. The highest ranked sites were never submitted to search engines, so do not waste your money. Spend it on better optimization techniques that help you get indexed and ranked.

There are many services that do a site submit for you. These services offer submission to many search engines some say thousands for one fee. Some offer to do it once and then resubmit a few times a month claiming to help your rankings. This will cost you money that you are throwing away, submitting once and submitting many times will not help your rankings it is not a part of SEO.

Doing a site submit is just telling a search engine you exist. The search engines really don’t care, if you have a site worth finding the search engines will find it. The best way to tell the search engines that you exist is to get links to your website. If you get a bunch of links from other sites, then the search engines will not only find you, but think you are important.

I build a ton of sites, I have had sites go into Google in one single day. There was one time I actually launched a brand new site and got on page one for a pretty competitive keyword in 12 hours. You will never do that submitting your site. I do want to let you know that the reason I got to page one is I believe Google thought my site was some hot news story or something, I fell off later that day, and had to work to get back up, but still these are incredible results.

My method to getting indexed and ranked in google is very simple. Every single time I design a new page, not a site, a page, I do the exact same thing. That page is indexed within 3 days. If my site has a PR 2 or more, which most do, I can add a page, get it near the top of Google within 3 days. Let me assure you it is fantastic for business when you are at the top of the search engines.

If your website or blog is a major source or revenue, or could be, then you should have a formal search engine optimization program that monitors and improves rankings on a daily basis. Now you might be thinking that you don’t have the resources necessary to implement a productive SEO program, but the costs of not doing so are significant.

Once you’ve determined that organic rankings need to be a priority, starting and SEO program is easy to do. Begin by using an experienced professional who can guide your efforts towards that activity that can generate the greatest return. SEOconsultants will help you to make the most of your optimization dollars and improve overall results.

Achieving the greatest return from any consulting relationship has a lot to do with how you prepare. The working relationship between you and the consultant needs to be open and honest from the start with clear expectations that are mutually agreed upon. You want to make sure that you and your SEO consultant have a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.

The first thing you want to consider is the need to find an experienced resource who can help you succeed. Be sure to ask for examples of his or her work from the past and do what you can to better understand what they’ve done for others in a similar situation as your business or web site. Doing your homework in the beginning will pay dividends as you maintain your relationship with the consultant.

The second step is to think about mutually agreed upon deliverables. You should have a very clear understanding of what is being delivered by your consultant and by when. The last thing you want is a fuzzy picture of what you are buying. Create a very clear understanding that is shared between you and the consultant about the final deliverable and the specific work they are doing for you.

The third and final step is to put together a team to work with the consultant and implement his findings. Seventy percent or so of the companies Ive worked with were very interested in learning how to optimize their websites but couldn’t or weren’t willing to follow through on what it takes to succeed. Commit time and resources dedicated to implementing the consultants findings and you will see the true value of your investment.

Organic rankings are an essential part of any search engine optimization effort. To succeed online you need to consider how to continually improve and expand the search engine optimization of your website. Begin with a credible search engine optimization consultant and agree on deliverables. Have a clear understanding of what the consultant plans to deliver and when. This ensures a productive working relationship that improves rankings for the long-term.

There’s a lot of information out there on the Internet about search engine optimization. Some of it is really good but unfortunately much of the information is either totally inaccurate or just plain wrong. I’ve taken the time to sort through much of this information and provide you with the strategies that get actual results.

Having had the opportunity to work with so many web sites, I’ve been able to witness first hand the value of different SEO techniques. Some appear to good to be true and often are. Others seem mundane but have an immediate impact on search engine rankings. I’m going to share the most effective techniques with you.

The first SEO ranking factor that has proven effective time and again is making sure that all inbound links to your web site have keywords in their anchor text. By placing keyword in the anchor text of these links, you are directing search engines to your website and individuals search for a particular keyword. I know that you can’t always control what someone names a link to your web site, but where you can, make sure it includes your keywords.

The second most important aspect of search engine factors is to include your keyword or keyword phrase in your title tag. This is important not only for search engines to identify your page but it becomes what is displayed in search engine results lists. In addition to the title tag, make sure to include your keyword and keyword phrases in both the description tag and keywords meta tag.

The third factor of search engine importance is link popularity. How many websites are linking to yours? More importantly, what is the value of those links? This answer is usually a function of Google Page Rank. Page rank is comprised of a large number of factors but essentially provides a weight to the value of each inbound link. The more links you have a greater value pointing to your web site, the higher your link popularity.

The fourth ranking factor is the diversity of domains that link to your web site. For many search engines, its not only what links you have to your site but making sure they are from different domains. This represents more popularity associated with you web site and therefore is judged to be a better search result. When link building, try to focus on generating inbound links from different websites.

The fifth ranking factor is placing your keywords in your root domain. If you are unable to acquire a domain that has www.yourkeyword.com as the format, don’t despair. You can vary your domain by including words before or after your keyword. Short of being able to acquire such a domain, place your keywords using a subdomain structure or placing a folder on your root domain. This can have a positive impact on your overall rankings.

Each of the five factors mentioned above are some of the most effective I have seen over more than a decade of online marketing. Focus on inbound links that are formatted properly, link popularity, and domains. By doing so you can dramatically improve the overall effectiveness of your search engine optimization efforts.

Just like everyone else, you probably are wondering how to get your website noticed! If you are a small business with big expectations, you probably had a website built and expected the orders to just roll in. You may have already tried some Pay Per Click advertising and possible even paid to be listed in some online directories.

By now, you have most likely figured out that people shopping online do not want to go through a directory to find you. They go through search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN Live. They type in a keywords and phrases that describe what they want and the search engines give them a list of websites, starting with what the search engine believes is the most relevant result.

It is these results, rather being found in the first group of them that drives traffic to your website. No matter what you have to offer the key to success online is to be found on the first page of these search results when someone is looking for what you have to offer.

The great thing about those search results is that they are working every hour of every day. The bad thing is that if you cant be found in those top few results, your neighbor across the street could be looking for what you have to offer and they’ll never find you.

Even if you have tons of traditional business experience, it is going to bu useless online. For instance, before the internet, businesses might have spend thousands dollars per month on Yellow page advertising. When the internet first went public that business had to be sure that those ads pointed to their website. However, only a few years later, most people don’t even know where their phone book is anymore.

On your online store, you may have a few selections for a specific item. In your store you may display these items according to cost. The typical online shopper is not searching for every item you have to offer. They are searching for one brand and one style at every store that offers that one specific item.

A local sporting goods store owner who complained that he would typically get one of the high end shoes from his supplier and it would never sell until he discounted it at the end of the season. Where that same shoe would have customers lining up around the block in the big city, hoping to get a chance to buy that pair of shoes as soon as it was delivered.

By putting his inventory online, the small town store owner allows the people in the big city to find the items they want regardless of what small town store has them. It takes a bit to wrap your head around the concept, but the online shopper doesn’t really care where your store actually is as long as you can get the product they want delivered to them.

If you are a traditional store that wants to sell your products online, it is going to be vital to your success to offer your products from the top down rather than trying to use your website to sell the stuff you could not move in your store. The structure of your website has to break down products and categories and present those images in an appealing way. A good SEO will be able to research the products you have to offer that match up with the hottest searches performed and help you to target your campaign.

Although it is nice, only having a cool website is not enough. Your website must be built in a search friendly way. Let’s say that you put a great picture of a specific item on your website. It is the hottest item going and everyone wants it. But if all you have is a picture, the Search Spider cant read your picture. It is not human. It searches for text. Text in the form of Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) and in the form of content on your page. These are spider food.

The Search Spider goes through your site, following your linking structure, recording what it finds and takes it back to the Search Engine Database. The Search Engine runs that data through its algorithm to determine what searches your data might be relevant to and how relevant your data is compared to other websites it has recorded. Confused?

Whats it all mean? The world has changed. Changed in ways we could not even imagine. If we had computers in the eighteen hundreds, they would have predicted that every city in America would now be twenty feet deep in horse manure.

Your website is proof that you are trying to be a player in the new way of doing business. Now your site has to be indexed in a way that Search Engines will find it and your products can be identified and produced as relevant when a search is done.

Rather than showing a picture of your product and writing a caption under it that says something like This is a very popular item this year, use specific terms that someone would search for when they are looking for this exact product. This will take a little more effort and refining but diligence and persistence pay off.

Another thing that takes some understanding and patience is to know that the Search Spider does not live on your website. It has other places to go, too. You have to allow it time to get around to checking out your changes.

Dont be afraid to do some investigative work on your own. Check out your competition. See how they describe the products on their site. A little homework on your part will also help you get an understanding of what youre up against.

If you are using Pay Per Click advertising they will provide Keyword Suggestion Tools. But please use caution. These tools are really focusing on getting you to pay to show up in as many searches as they can. Although that might sound like exactly what you want too, the truth is that aside from being expensive, if your site does not exactly match to what the searcher is looking for, you are wasting money.

A Search Optimization Service will be help you focus your energy and resources in the areas that will get you more conversions because you will be showing up for the most relevant searches all the time rather than just when you can afford Pay Per Click advertising.

Are you looking for a fast and easy way to achieve top rankings for your website? Many people are in search of the quickest means to ranking well on search engines. Not to long ago I was working with a client on applying some SEO techniques. I started with a focus on on-page optimization and then migrated towards off page optimization in an effort to generated inbound links to their website.

Off page optimization is all about building your web site’s popularity. Google measures this by applying their algorithm and rewarding you with a Google Page Rank. Once your page has Google PR, it can easily be compared with other pages in the same genre. This is especially true with new sites or pages that have very little history associated with them.

The first step was to make sure that the site had all of the necessary characteristics that would make it easily accessible by search engine spiders. After applying the proper navigation, meta tags, and keyword application we evaluated the site for size and loading time. After this optimization was complete, we identified a few key link building strategies.

One particular link strategy is related to directory submissions. Essentially you find directories that are well established and relevant to the subject matter of your own web site. The site I was working with had about 300 directories that would be ideal for a site like has. As a result, and due to the urgency by which he wanted the work done, we chose an automated directory submission service.

Within 48 hours of the site being submitted, the web sites ranking for targeted keyword terms dropped by more than 62 percent. I couldn’t believe what a detrimental affect the automated submission service had on this particular web site. Could this be coincidence or is there proof of the damaging effects of automated submission?

At the time, we were not focused on any other type of link building activity. Due to the immediate nature of the impact on search rankings, I’ve concluded that automated submission had a negative impact that was significant. My only hope is that its not everlasting.

My recommendation to anyone building links to their web site of blog is to simply stay away from automated services that promise results. Google and other search engines appear to be catching on and know what you’ve used an automated service to do your link building. You can still submit to directories to build quality one-way links to your web site. However, I recommend that you do so manually.

At this point just about everyone has heard about the Twitter phenomenon and either have their own account or know someone who does. If you’re like me you’re probably wondering with the draw to Twitter is but more importantly what it can do for you. Marketers are discovering the value that Twitter has from a number of different perspectives.

As someone who didn’t want to use Twitter for quite some time, I finally dove in and learned what all of the excitement was about. Similar to other social networking sites like Flickr and Facebook and others, Twitter provides a forum for real time communication. It connects us all and brings us closer to others with similar interests.

What if you could find influential people in your industry and directly listen to them, learn from them, and have insight into what they’re focused on? Enter Twitter and the ability to search, find, and follow those in your industry. You may be quite surprised by all the people out there in your niche sharing ideas, news, and information. By following these people you can stay on top of industry trends and learn a great deal.

You may be thinking that Twitter sounds great for learning about your industry but what other value does it provide. After you’ve identified those you want to follow for work related reasons, you should also consider adding some individuals to your list that are aligned with hobbies you may have, goals, or aspirations. Twitter is shaped by you and for you so consider what content would add value to your life.

Once you’ve gotten familiar with Twitter, its time to start building a following. Just you follow others, others may want to follow you. The best place to begin is by adding quality posts on a regular basis. What are you reading that may be of interest to others? What type of tools are you using to accomplish a specific goal? Share those things that provide value to others and you will quickly create a large list of followers. Once you have a list, you can begin to utilize your list of followers much like you would a direct marketing house list.

Keep in mind that when you build a list you are creating value. This list, if comprised of individuals interested in your niche or company can translate into customers. There are a variety of techniques you can deploy to do this but one of the easiest is to encourage them to visit your site, by posting a link, and getting them to register or sign up. Attach an auto responder to the sign up and move them through the purchase cycle. If the list of followers is targeted and you can add something of value, then you and your customers will be pleased with the communication.

Think of Twitter as direct marketing on steroids. You are building a following and your goal is to provide value first and sell letter. By creating a list of followers, you are in essence building a house list of those who are interested in what you have to say. This is essential for those who want to succeed online.

If you’re looking for short cuts to high search engine placements, you’ll be looking for a very long time. I recently worked with someone on search engine optimization and spent a good deal of time focusing on both on page optimization techniques and off page optimization. Due to a relatively simple web site, optimizing their pages was relatively easy. We soon focused on off page optimization and some techniques to quickly build links to their website.

Building your web site’s popularity is essential for improving your search engine rankings. Major search engines like Google apply an algorithm to define the value of your web site or web page. This in turn drives your search engine ranking for specific keywords. One way to think about the process of web site ranking is like a voting machine. The more votes you get the better your site ranks.

When evaluating a web site I’m always sure to evaluate the content of the site. All content should be designed for the browser and then considered appropriate for search engine spiders. After validating the link structure of the web site and checking to make sure that pages load quickly, it’s time to focus on link building.

A popular strategy that is used by many SEO professionals is found in directory submissions. The proper directories can provide one way links that can have a significantly positive impact on the search engine rankings for any web site or blog. For the web site I was recently working on I decided to find a submission service that would take the process of manual submission off the table. I believed that the auto submission would be as effective but require much less effort.

After we used the service for directory submission I was shocked by the results. The keyword phrase that we were trying to improve ranking for was impacted negatively. In fact, rankings declined by more than twenty three positions. One might challenge my results saying that even if there was a negative effect from the automated submission that it wouldn’t happen that quickly. I beg to differ based on a fairly controlled test.

The team was not working on any other form of link building and as a result, what happened seems to be directly related to the automatic submission service. The challenge with these types of services is that you really can’t tell what type of activity they are engaged in when submitting to directories. All that I know for sure is that our rankings dropped significantly after the submission date.

Is automatic directory submission a thing of the past? Is it to good to be true? If you based your opinion on my recent experience I would say yes. Using the auto submission process had a very negative impact on search engine rankings for the site I was working on. Even though I can’t verify the impact of all services I assume that you should think twice before assuming that a submission service is going to save you time or give you better results.

If you’re like me you’re probably wondering with the attraction to Twitter is but more importantly what it can do for you. Marketers are discovering the value that Twitter has from a number of different vantage points.

Personally, I’m not usually first to use a new application. I’d rather others adopt new technologies, work out the kinks and then I jump on board. The same has been true with Twitter. It wasn’t long until I opened and account and am learning about this tool and all of the additional apps that have been created for various reasons. In no time at all I learned that the main reason for Twitter usage is connecting with others.

What if you could find influential people in your industry and directly listen to them, learn from them, and have insight into what they’re focused on? Enter Twitter and the ability to search, find, and follow those in your industry. You may be surprised by all the people out there in your niche sharing ideas, news, and information. By following these people you can stay on top of industry trends and learn a great deal.

Once you have established a good list of people to follow, you can add others to your list that are either outside your industry or perhaps bring something else of value to your day to day activities. What’s great about developing a list of experts to follow is that you are in control and can either start or stop following people at will. This gives you a great way to focus your efforts and get value from everyone you follow.

Just like you follow others, others can determine that they want to follow you on Twitter. You might be asking what the purpose or point of building a list of followers may be. This depends on what you are trying to accomplish with Twitter. If your goal is to use it casually, then you may be looking to build a list of followers among your friends. If you are interested in Twitter for business purposes, you should consider your list of followers just like you would a house list that you market to on a regular basis.

Keep in mind that building a list is valuable. This list, if comprised of individuals interested in your niche or company can translate into customers. There are a variety of techniques you can deploy to do this but one of the easiest is to encourage them to visit your site, by posting a link, and getting them to register or sign up. If you haven’t already reached this conclusion, using Twitter is like have a direct dialog with prospects. Begin by offering something of value, gaining their trust and following. Once you’ve proven yourself as an expert or industry leader it’s time to promote products or services that help to solve a problem. Twitter is a great tool for building your online business and targeting prospective customers.

If you follow search engine marketing then no doubt you’ve been hearing about Microsoft’s latest search engine release called Bing. Bing promises a new user experience for those surfing the web. This is a pretty necessary rework of Microsoft’s previous search in an effort to compete with both Google and Yahoo. Today, there is more press coverage that is covering this launch as Microsoft is seeking to make radical changes to their business model.

I seem to be getting a large number of blog readers asking about Bing and what they should be doing to get sites ranked well on this new search engine. This is a common question whenever new search engines are released regarding the methodology they use to rank.. The good news here is that Bing appears to follow many of the same protocols as Google, the world’s leading search engine.

A common method of evaluating how search engine algorithms work is to do an in depth analysis of top performing sites for given keywords. This allows you to evaluate commonalities and also differences that may account for differences in ranking. Based on my own side by side comparisons and additional in depth research among others in the search engine optimization community, it’s pretty evident that web site age, in bound links, and other criteria are important to the Bing search algorithm.

After just a little research, it’s clear that Bing is using criteria such as in bound linking to evaluate the appropriateness of a given site related to a search term. Consistent with other search enginemethodologies, in bound linking shows which sites are popular and worth of top rankings. Focus your SEO efforts on link building to do well in Google and other search engines like Bing.

Making improvement to your organic search results is vital to your online success. Many website owners or affiliate marketers believe they can buy their way to top rankings. In turn, these ranking produce significant traffic and a profitable revenue stream. Generating organic results take time and hard work. If you know where to focus, you will get to your destination much quicker. Focus your efforts on building links and optimizing your pages for success.

Another area of importance is content. Search engines like Bing look for fresh, relevant content. You want to make sure that your content is valuable to browsers and web site visitors but that it is also relevant and up to date. Consider adding a revising content on a regular basis. This helps you succeed in generating inbound links and quality scores from search engine algorithms.

You might be wondering which search engine you should be optimizing your web site for. Based on what I’ve seen, I’m encouraged by preliminary Bing related findings. I believe that Bing is using many of the same factors that Google uses to evaluate a sites relevance to a search query. As always, focus on white hat methods to optimize your site and follow SEO basics.

There has been quite a bit of media attention about Microsoft’s latest addition to the search engine wars. Bing promises to deliver a more customized search experience to browsers and is essentially their answer to Google. In the last few weeks Bing has received a good deal of interest and is important to anyone doing business online who wants to rank well in the Bing search engine.

You might be asking yourself, what does Bing mean for my website and how can I ensure that my web site is found? I have been receiving a number of inquiries from individuals who are truly concerned about the impact a new algorithm will have on their website’s search results. I have begun to research Bing as a search engine and found out that much of it’s methodology for ranking is similar to that of Google.

Bing promises to deliver a more customized search experience to browsers and is essentially their answer to Google. In the last few weeks Bing has gotten a great deal of press and is important to anyone doing business online who wants to rank well in the Bing search engine.

The question that website owners want answered is how the new engine produces results differently than the previous search engine and what optimization techniques should be used compared to those used for Google and Yahoo! Ive done quite a bit of research on the subject and it appears that there are only a few factors that might influence Bing results compared to Google. The thing to keep in mind is that following SEO best practices will rule the day.

When looking at top ranked websites, an in depth analysis can be done to see which factors vary between top results. A recent comparison that I viewed showed that the number one ranking website on Bing was able to keep a leg up on the competition by having an older domain age, and having inbound links from websites that included the primary keyword in the referring sites title tag. In short, the top web site was successful in building inbound links from other SEO sites and directories as opposed to being from unrelated websites.

What I find particularly interesting is that Bing is relying on many of the same factors that Google has been using from day one. The factor you should be most concerned with is inbound linking. All major search engines like inbound links. More importantly, they like relevant in bound links. Use this information to guide your SEO campaigns and determine which sites to target for link exchanges.

Making improvement to your organic search results is vital to your online success. Many website owners or affiliate marketers believe they can buy their way to top rankings. In addition to focusing on the before mentioned items for influencing search results on Bing and other search engine, consider the value of content. Having fresh content on your site that is engaging and current matters a good deal to search engines seeking to find the most relevant and meaningful content. Keep your eye on developing quality content and updating it on a regular basis.

Optimizing your website requires a good deal of attention to search engine optimization basics. By focusing on what you can control, creating engaging content and producing a website that is easily navigated by search engines, you go a long way in developing a Bing friendly site. In addition, you move closer towards improving your rankings for all major search engines.

A search engine spider is essentially simply a server based software application that’s meant to compile and maintain search engine databases. Also they are known as robots.

These applications were nicknamed spiders because they craw the web attempting to find info to add to the search engine’s database. In idea a search engine spider does it s job by following networks of links to find and then grab data from your web site pages. Each search engine ( like Google, Excite, Alta Vista, Lycos, etc.) has its own factors for how it spiders info.

This criterion is put together into a specific algorithm that helps the search engine establish where your web site fits in its ranking system. The issue of 2nd making a guess search engine spiders is they are continually changing the needs of this algorithm so web experts are always 2nd trying guessing the way to get their URLs listed in the top web site positions. Also the different search engines have different standards for how they rank info and may have to do with their database’s desires.

One search engine may rank your net site re its content and one more inquisitive about the amount of links you have and yet another could have an interest in how many hits you are getting. In theory a search engine spider could do any one of many things when it visits your internet page. Some spiders simply confirm the existence of the page without indexing it. Some spiders index the page content.

Yet others will identify all the hyperlinks you have on a page to other web resources and also other pages on your site.

A spider may visit your pages once or it may visit it many times. One of the most recent trends is to keep your index pages lively by adding up to fifty to seventy new bytes of info constantly. The explanation being as the AltaVista pages love fresh content. This is what makes SEO systems so engaging to follow.

The guidelines change along with the changing needs of the spiders.

Personalization of search results is very important to the future success of any search engine, and its an effort well underway with many of the big 3 search engines as we speak.

If its true that the key success factors of search are:

a. reliability
b. ease/speed of use

Then it stands to reason that the more often a search engine optimization provides searchers with the exact information they are looking for, the more often they are to use that search engine in the future, and the less likely they are to switch to another search engine.

Personalization is not however, a magical phenomenon or crystal ball interpretation. It is purely based on observed patterns, and resulting probabilities. To put this into perspective, here are a number of patterns that search engines are likely to track, and that will permit search engines to calculate probabilities – namely the probability of increasing either reliability or speed of use.

1. Location Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on your current location (eg. pizza).
Eg. search engines have a very good idea where you are (based on IP) when you perform a search query. So someone searching for “pizza” from a location in London, is very likely looking for a pizza location within 10km (6 miles) of their inferred location. This works well for some types of keywords, and not as well for others (eg. paper manufacturers).

2. Interface Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on the interface you are using. Eg. if a search engine knows you are performing a search for “hospitals” from a BlackBerry, they can typically surmize you are looking for a hospital within a given radius of your current location, and could reorganize the results with the closest hospitals first. Keep in mind, small screens aren’t great for general surfing or researching. Large screens are much more efficient.

3. Query History Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on a logical sequence of keyword queries. Eg. if you performed a search for “crayons” 10 minutes prior, and now search for “pens”, personalized results should show gel pens results above Mont Blanc pens.

4. Input/Output Mode Based – personalize the mode through which you receive your results.
Eg. if you use Goog411 and input your search query by voice command, then you’re more likely to want to receive the results via voice also (or at least a combination of voice and visual output). This will become more of an issue going forward.

5. Time Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on times it perceives you are typically working.
Eg. searching for “Trains” has a different meaning at the office (think – book train tickets to Montreal), then when you’re at home with the kids (think Thomas the Train). Perhaps Google has identified the pattern that most of your queries are business oriented between 9:00am and 6:00 pm, and more child oriented in all other hours.

6. Individual User Behaviour Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on your actions in the past.
Eg. Did you click on this site in the past in response to a similar query? Did you abandon it immediately, or stay on it and interact with it? Your previous interaction with the site offers insight into whether its a better match this time or not.

7. Group Based Behaviour Based Personalization – serve you personalized results based on the actions of all who have made similar queries in the past. Eg. If 90% of people who click on a certain search result in response to a specific search query abandoned it after 5 seconds (while others hold user attention much longer), then there’s a high probability that the listing in question is not highly relevant to the search query and the search results should be reorganized as a result.

8. Social Search Based Personalization – imagine Google or Yahoo knowing who your friends are (perhaps through Facebook, gmail, or any number of social media sites).
Eg. Then imagine the search engine can either:
a. aggregate all friends positive and negative reviews of certain sites, and reorganize the search results with those sites with the most positive reviews first.
b. aggregate all friends user behaviour patterns associated with sites appearing in the search results, and then reorganize your specific search results accordingly

9. Virtual Personas/Assistants Based Personalization – serve you search results through a virtual persona you created. Eg. Think of Star Trek or Terminator if you will. When you talk to a computer, it feels uncomfortable. We often feel the need to assign a personality and persona to it. Now imagine we can customize the appearance and sound of that persona. You can choose the accent, the sex, the age, and much more.

Conclusion:
While it is possible to improve the efficiency of search through each of the personalization methods above, they infact work best when operated in conjunction with one another, acting as a checks and balances mechanism. When used in conjunction, the inferences truly become more probable, and lead to dramatically better search results.

If you think this type of personalization is a long way off – think again. Google, Yahoo, and MSN all are trialling various means of personalization. See for yourself – perform a few search queries, then ask a friend in another part of the country to perform the same searches and compare results.

Over the years, the industry of internet marketing has developed to the point where incorporating an online marketing plan is absolutely essential for any company wanting to succeed in the future. Search engine marketing and search engine optimization are the most popular forms of internet marketing as they can drive lots of targeted traffic to your website. Down below is a list of some of the most important lessons about the strengths and weaknesses of search as a medium:

– Search should not be thought of as a stand alone marketing medium – PPC (Paid Search) is better for accomplishing some goals than SEO is – SEO is better for accomplishing some goals than PPC is – Content is KING – Content is KING (did we say that already?)

Perhaps one of the most powerful of these lessons however, is that as powerful as search is, it CANNOT compensate for a faulty business model.

Faulty Business Model

Sure, in the short term a good SEO can help. Those rankings will often bring in some business through targeted traffic from the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. Unfortunately, those same good rankings can also help to conceal problems within the business model.

What is a Good Business Model?

What does a good business model consist of? It’s usually a direct function of the relative value:price ratio for a product or service amongst competitors, sprinkled with a whole lot of common sense.

However, if anything is amiss – the company is doomed for failure, expert SEO or not.

Why Are Companies with Faulty Business Models Doomed?

Companies with faulty business models are doomed for a number of reasons. Primarily however, they’re doomed because search engines want to recommend sites that SATISFY searcher’s needs. Almost by definition, companies with faulty business models cannot satisfy clients and searchers, because either:

– Their price is too high given the value of the product or service – Their value is too low given the price of the product or service – Common sense is lacking, severely distorting the value:price ratio – and we suspect this is by far the most common

Long term (in a few more years – not yet though) this means search engines will look at your friend’s preferences and opinions (aka social search), and the behaviour patterns of thousands of other searchers, and will rearrange rankings based on those indicators. The result – faulty business models lose.

What Does This Mean for SEO’s and the Industry of Internet Marketing?

As a result, SEO and internet marketing companies in the future will have to make some interesting business decisions:

– do we accept or retain clients with faulty business models? – how do we identify clients with faulty business models – what are the signals? – do we attempt to become management/change consultants too?

What Does This Mean for Businesses?

Ultimately, this means that companies must focus their time and efforts on what it is they do best. They need to ensure they’ve got solid defensible business models. The more sound the business model, the easier it will be to rank for relevant terms. If not, make the tough decisions, and correct the issues, or Google will!

Many internet marketers especially those who spend a lot of money on AdWords to drive traffic to their websites are now asking themselves if Yahoo Cash 4 Idiots is necessary to have. Those who are seriously considering this are those who have a thing or two to say about Google and are discontent with the search giant.

Hence it is of no surprise that when a product comes out, positioning itself as the alternative to an already saturated market, a lot of marketers get curious and start digging up information.

So it comes down to this important question, should you really purchase Yahoo Cash 4 Idiots?

First of all, Yahoo Cash 4 Idiots teaches you how to enter and dominating the Yahoo Paid Search playing field which is literally in need of some competition as of the moment. It is without doubt that a huge majority of pay per click users are on Google AdWords.

Second, it reveals a little known glitch in Yahoo’s search marketing system that will allow you to get better ad positions and yet spend less. Most marketers who are new to PPC almost always lose their shirt before they master it, and yet many who do, still do not manage to turn out a profit, or even barely break even. Now is your chance to start out in PPC and not lose money.

Third, step by step instructions are one of the manuals best traits, this ensure that you fully understand what needs to get done, without breaking a sweat or getting a headache.

Lastly, Yahoo is more considerate with affiliate marketers that Google who according to some PPC veterans, have too many restrictive policies levied on the marketers.

So give Yahoo Cash 4 Idiots a try and start earning some idiot free income… besides at the end of it all, you would be an idiot not to try it for $77 knowing that there is a 60 day iron clad money back guarantee if it instead makes an idiot out of you.

A profesional and reliable blog web host may make some of the difference to your blog. A well-run blog web host company can make it easier for readers to access your blog. It will take a lot of time to switch companies if you are displeased with your web host. A good company can have a direct bearing on the success of your website.

The most important factor in choosing a blog web host is reliability. You shouldn’t base your blog web host by the amount of bandwidth and disk space. In actuality you will probably only use about 10% of your bandwidth. You should base your choice on the speed of the servers and uptime. The faster your blogs show up on a web surfers screen and the speed in which the reader can access them is very important.

Reading customer reviews and entries on online forums about specific companies is a great way to ascertain the reliability of the interested company. Another way to determine the company’s reliability is to perform online searches and see the ranking of the blogs using that company. Additionally if your friends have found success with specific web host then your should investigate that company. Word of mouth is great advertising for a good host site.

There are many blog web hosts that offer a lot of disk space, gigabytes, and unlimited bandwidth and domains. These types of blog web hosts normally offer a monthly charge for these services, but most people don’t actually use them or need them. These companies are trying to oversell their site and may be glossing over the reliability of their services. So beware!

You should also test the support service. Send a few e-mails to support and see how long it takes for them to reply and if they have actually efficiently and effectively answered your questions. Try to determine how much knowledge and technical information they have. If they have a poor support center then they will most likely have other areas that are poor.

Really good and successful blog web hosts do cost a bit each month and will be worth the investment, between $10-20 dollars a month. Successful bloggers find this cost to be nominal especially for the services received from the blog web host. A good host company will help generate even more traffic to your blog.

Some of the most popular web host companies only charge about $10 a month and offer a 30-day money back garuntee. The top ten companies are Lunarpages, Vistapages, Yahoo, Globat, HostMonster, Immotion, Blue Host, Dot5Hosting, FastNext, and HostingPad. If you are unsure of any of the companies you should give their trials a charge, as you will receive your investment back if you are unhappy with their services.

Do you know that it’s possible to run you own blog web host if you have enough tech knowledge. To offer competitive services like other companies you will probably need to charge a small fee, as you will be spending some time dealing with your blog host.

Learning how to evaluate a blog web host is important because it will determine the popularity of your blog. The blog host will play a part in the ease of access and general usage by the blog reader to your blogs. If you are having problems with your host, you can find it impossible to do certain things that will help your blog succeed.

Reliability is the most important thing when choosing a blog web host. You should focus on the speed of the company’s servers and uptime. Many companies try to dazzle with large amounts of bandwidth and disk space but don’t be taken in. Most bloggers only need a small amount of space and a lot of bandwidth and disk space doesn’t actually do anything.

To ascertain the reliability of the blog web host you will need to perform some online research. You should check out customer reviews and online forums that are dedicated to that web host. You should also perform some Internet searches to see where that blog web host appears when you search for your blog.

Most blog web hosts try to attract customers by offering a lot unlimited services like domains and bandwidth as well as gigabytes of disk space. These offers are all over ill and not necessary. They can also be costly, as you will be charged a monthly fee above the usual fee. You need to gut through the flash and determine what the company really offers.

You should also test the support service. Send a few e-mails to support and see how long it takes for them to reply and if they have actually efficiently and effectively answered your questions. Try to determine how much knowledge and technical information they have. If they have a poor support center then they will most likely have other areas that are poor.

Some of the top blog web host companies that cost ten dollars or under are Immotion, Blue Host, HostingPad, HostMonster, Yahoo, Globat, Vistapages, Lunarpages, Dot5Hosting, and FastNext. You can try any of these web host companies for 30 days with a money back gaurantee. Most blog web hosts offer something like this and it is a good idea to try the offers if you are unsure of the host company or can’t make up your mind between a few blog web hosts.

If you’ll learn the knowledge then you can run your own blog web hosting service. However to offer the same services as more established sites you will need to charge a fee to those who want to use your service. You can host up to one hundred fifty web sites with 1k MB. and about 10GB of bandwidth. But realistically, most bloggers find that running your own servier is more than what they want to take on.

SEO stands for search engine optimization and is the practice of using various techniques to optimize a website and its content so search engines can find and index them. There are many useful SEO techniques that can be implemented in a website, and Texas web designers can help you to make use of them. A well optimized website means more traffic to your website because more people will be able to find your website through search engine searches.

Just because you publish a website on the internet does not mea that web users will be able to find it. There is a lot of work that is required to design a website so that it is effectively optimized and attracts plenty of traffic. Texas web designers know how to get you the optimization results that will help your website get more traffic and promote your business.

There are many SEO techniques that are designed specifically for the purposes of internet marketing. Some of these techniques can be very costly which is why it is important to keep your marketing budget in mind when considering the optimization of your website. Texas web designers can help you put these useful techniques into effect and they also can find an optimization approach that is both cost-effective and valuable. A properly designed SEO website will help you get your business exposed to the internet community in a way that will both inform and intrigue them.

Using high-quality relevant content on your site is the number one way to get a high search engine ranking. Texas Web Designers are experts in creating the kind of content that engages your readers and pulls high search engine rankings with sites like Google and Yahoo!.

When writing website content Texas web designers understand that there are many important keywords and keyword phrases for every type of business. They will integrate keywords that relate to your website into your content and will make sure they are the terms people would most likely search for when looking for your business.

Another important factor that is often not realized is that search engines only care about your individual web pages, not the site in its entirety. That is why it is important to rank each page. The more highly ranked pages you have, the easier it will be to bring traffic to your site. The Texas web designers will write each page of your site with this in mind, making sure the content is both relevant and informative.

Another suggestion that will help you get good results when optimizing your page is to keep your page titles relative to the main keywords. This means using the keywords in a way that is natural and not illogical, while staying true to the actual topic of the page. The title will come naturally if this is used correctly. The Texas web designers can help you by taking your information and organizing it in a way that will make sense to both readers and search engines.

If your website isn’t giving you the results you would like, you may want to consider hiring a web design consultant. Texas Web Designers can help you understand what elements of your website need to be improved. A qualified web design consultant can examine your site and determine how you can improve your site’s function, content and appearance to increase your search engine rankings and make more money.

Many people who need Texas web designers don’t consider hiring a company for consulting. They try to fix their site themselves or they have an old programmer they have used for years who doesn’t understand how sites need to be today. This can be detrimental for a company.

The first step a Texas web designers company will do is taking a look at your entire site. They will consider the functionality of the site and see if it is causing problems for the users. Some sites are too many pages deep which causes users to get lost. Some of the most important pages are too deep and the search engines won’t list them. Did you know search engines will only list web pages on a site three pages deep and those deeper will not be listed? Functionality also includes if there are any broken links. They will look for problems with the way the site functions and consider how easy the site is to use for the visitor.

Another thing a Texas web designers company will do is look at the content on your site. Do you have enough content on your site? You might not include enough information about the products you are trying to sell to customers. Many people will not buy products if they don’t include a proper description. Maybe you don’t have enough content on your site also. This happens often and online businesses fail because of these problems.

Texas Web Designers understand all the elements that are required to get your site a high ranking with the popular search engines like Google and Yahoo!. They can help you optimize all the elements of your site to increase your rankings and bring more customers to your site. And they can optimize your site so that more of the customers that visit will buy your products. Making your website “pretty” is not the goal, making it more profitable is.

A good Texas web designers company will provide a consultation about your online business that provides you the right information so you know exactly what it is that you need to do to be successful online. They will tell you about any problems you might have with the functionality of your site, problems you might have with content, and help you rank higher with the search engines.

A downward line on the graph tells you that interest in the product is tapering off.

Once you’ve narrowed your niche down on Google, then go to Yahoo and continue your research there. The section in Yahoo that I use is called The Buzz. The Buzz tracks search terms and whether or not they are rising or falling. I’ve discovered more than a few hot niches on The Buzz.

Experienced affiliate marketers will visit ebay in their search for a hot selling product. Go to Ebay Pulse to find the products that are the most searched for on Ebay. You can even drill down through the categories to find which product is the hot seller in your niche. Once you have several ideas, take them back to Google and Yahoo and run them through their paces.

You’ll soon be finding hot niches routinely. You’ll be surprised at how many hot niches you can find online by just making a list of the businesses in your part of town. Sometimes what’s popular in your town, be it a business or product, is also popular to the world. Never hesitate to put each of your ideas through your research to find out if a market exist!

For many beginning affiliate marketers, finding a hot product to sell is the biggest obstacle they will face. Many have no idea of how to go about finding a product that is in high demand. The tips here in this article will help you find those hot products.

Successful marketers know how and where to look for items that are in high demand. Many beginners make the mistake of searching for an affiliate program with a high payout. This can be a huge mistake! Or, they may choose a product that many Internet shoppers are not looking to buy. Another big mistake! To make money on the Internet, you need a lot of traffic and a hot product.

For starters, make a list of the things you like and are passionate about. It has always been said that you can sell something you believe in. That’s true. It’s also true that it’s very hard to sell something you know nothing about or have no experience in. This is why it’s critical in finding something that you enjoy or are passionate about.

Start your research by visiting Yahoo and Google and using their traffic research tools. I use Google Trends to find the Hot Trends and look back months, if not years, to see how many people have been searching for this particular product or service that I’m thinking about selling.

I really love using Google Trends. I’ve probably found more hot niches using Google Trends than any other tool that I’ve used over the years. Look for the line on the graph to be steady over time or slightly rise. You may notice that some products are seasonal, having up and down lines that occur about the same time each year. There’s nothing wrong with this, but you need to be aware that you’re looking at a season product.

Once you’ve narrowed your niche down on Google, then go to Yahoo and continue your research there. The section in Yahoo that I use is called The Buzz. The Buzz tracks search terms and whether or not they are rising or falling. I’ve discovered more than a few hot niches on The Buzz.

If you have thought that you might need search engine optimization for your business, but aren’t really sure, you have found the right article. If you want to get your website to the top of the search engine results page, search engine optimization is going to do that.

Basically, search engine optimization (or SEO) is the process of getting your website to the top of the results page. For example, if you are selling magic dust, your website that has been search engine optimized is going to be at the top of the listings if someone types “magic dust” (or any of the other keywords that you have chosen) into a search engine like Google or Yahoo. You want your magic dust website to come out as one of the top results so that web searchers will click on it and buy your dirt.

Do you have to be a computer or business genius to figure out SEO? Well, it really depends on how you decide to do your search engine optimization. It is going to be difficult because there are a lot of websites out there and some of them are going to sell the exact same thing that you sell. To get your website to the top, you are going to have to remember that it is going to take some determination. You are probably wondering how to get your website to that premier position in the search engine ratings. It isn’t going to automatically (or magically) get there. It’s a combination of a great website and learning how SEO works.

It isn’t hard if you have a search engine optimization firm do the dirty work for you while you concentrate on getting your business off the ground. Of course, this is going to eat into your advertising or IT budget, but it is going to give you the results you desire.

Can you get your website to be number one on the search engine rankings page without doing search engine optimization? The answer is yes, but remember that if you get close to the top, it is usually because you are working to get there and stay there. If you rocket to the top without trying, consider yourself really lucky, because most businesses need to do search engine optimization first.

Search engine optimization doesn’t necessarily have to change your website completely in order to be effective. What it will do is work with what you have, improving your key words and page descriptions to give the search engines what they are looking for.

Search engine optimization is not new, but most people who have never launched a website have heard of it. The reason is that it is one of those topics that people don’t like to talk about, because they like to think that they can get to the top by themselves. Using a company to help you optimize your page is going to be a really great way to make sure everything turns out and you get the traffic to your website that you need to stay in business.

With the help of another blogger, I discovered two interesting keywords these are no other than “derivatives” of Google itself or should I say where “Google” was derived from. Those key words are Googel and Googol.

The importance of keywords to bloggers and webmasters is that optimizing a keyword will bring them more traffic. The more traffic you have the more money will flow to you. It does not matter what kind of commercial activities a blogger or webmaster is involved whether it is pay per click, pay per impression pay per visit, pay per whatsoever or selling affiliate products. What is important is the traffic. Internet marketing or internet business is simple. More traffic equals more money.

Traffic from three of the world’s biggest search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN is the most important thing that a blogger or webmaster should consider. This further ensures that they are making money online.

When a computer user goes to google and types a word, you have to ensure that you are in the first 3 pages or if possible in the first top 10 in the search engine’s first page. If you are in the 100th page, then most likely people from the search engine will not visit your site.

It is therfore reasonable to conclude that you must ensure that your blog or website gets a high volume of traffic. To ensure thisyou must compete for the proper keywords.

Selecting the proper keyword is not easy as it may sound. There are good keywords but unfortunately they have a lot of competition. To know this just type a keyword in google and look at the upper right hand portion of of the page. For example the keywords “making money online” produces more than 18 million results. Competing for this keyword is really a tough one.

Selecting a keyword with less competition is not enough. You need to check out if the keyword has a high search volume. This means you need to make sure people are searching for the keyword. This will ensure that you are optimizing the proper keyword. In order to know this go to google trends, type the keyword and if it produces the graph, Bingo ! That’s it.

Professional bloggers call this searching for “high-trend but low-dense keyword.”

A keyword that fits both criteria is the word “Googel.” Googel is an example of a high-trend but low-dense keyword that bloggers or website masters must take advantage of. If you study the google trends graph you can see that since 2004, it has sustained a huge and increasing number of searches. That answers the question of it’s being high trend. As of the time of this writing only 860,000 blogs or websites has mentioned this keyword. This answers it’s being low dense. What this is telling us is that competing for this keyword is not so difficult.

On the other hand, Googel’s twin, “Googol” may not have a very impressive graph in google trend. But the the fact that it made it in google trends shows that it is a high-trend keyword. What’s good about it though is that it’s density is lower by half than that of Googel. As of the time of this writing only 468,000 blogs and websites has been mentioning it.

So do whatever you have to do to take advantage of the keywords Googel and Googol to bring more traffic to your blog or website right now !

Lets first clear up what exactly a search engine ranking is. When someone searches for an answer to a question, or for some information, they often use the internet search services like Google, Yahoo, MSN or many of the numerous smaller search services, they type in something they want to know about – this is called a ’search query’. When they type in their question or request for info (their ‘query’) they are then presented by an array of pages of results that specific search service has deemed as relevant search results to the ‘query’ you wanted information on. This list of search results is often termed Organic Search Results. These are different to the Sponsored Search Results that often appear down the right hand column of the search results page.

These ‘Sponsored’ Search Results are simply text ads placed by those who wish to advertise websites that are then linked to the adverts. These advertisers pay to have their adverts appear when certain words or phrases (known as keywords) are typed into the search company’s services. Because the people that place these adverts only actually pay when someone clicks on their specific advert, these search results are often referred to as PPC or pay-per-click results, which is why they are termed ’sponsored’ results, being that they are ‘paid for’ by the advertisers.

Getting positioned (ranked) high with these PPC adverts is a completely specialised area, and one I’ll avoid discussing now as it’s a completely separate subject in itself, as this information now is focused on discussing ways to get highly ranked using the organic search results.

Getting “highly ranked” simply means that when someone types in a search query into a search service like Google, then the closer your website appears visible to being on page 1 of the search results, and then the higher up that page 1 you appear, the greater likelihood there is the person searching will then click on your website. If you appeared low down the results, say page 12, it’s pretty obvious that the person searching for results is highly unlikely to ever look that far through all the search results, especially when you consider that on each page of search results there is on average about 10 search results, so being on page 12 would mean the person searching would have to scroll through over 100 search results before they even came close to finding your website.

The key is pretty clear – aim to get on page 1 of the search results, and then as high up the page (preferably in the top 3 results), which then gives you the greatest chance that your website will get seen and people will visit it.

The obvious benefit over Organic search results as opposed to Sponsored (PPC) search results is whenever anyone finds your website and clicks on it with in the Organic results list, it costs you nothing! Whereas if you had placed a PPC ad to appear in the Sponsored results list, you have to pay every time someone clicks on your advert (regardless of whether you’ve sold them anything from your website or not).

There is also another great advantage to using Organic search as a way to drive people to your website, as opposed to Sponsored search, and that is the credibility of the results. People entering a ’search query’ will believe that the results that come back via Organic search results are far more credible and genuine to solving what their query relates to then Sponsored search results. The reason for that is most folks are now aware that the Sponsored results are all adverts paid for by the advertisers of those websites, and so they believe that person is paying to get ranked (as in fact they are), which in turn undermines the true value of that search result as credible in the eyes of the person searching “oh, that only appeared on the search results ’cause they paid to be there” is in their minds.

The difference with Organic results is the searcher ‘believes’ that what appears in their organic search results list is true, real and of genuine value to their quest in solving the answer to their query.

Somebody pointed out to me two interesting keywords. What’s interesting about it is that these keywords are where the word “Google” was taken from. That is the word “Googol” and its twin brother is the word “Googel”

Keywords are very important to bloggers and webmasters because it will bring them more traffic. Traffic from three of the world’s biggest search engines, Google, Yahoo and MSN is the most important thing that a blogger or webmaster should consider. This further ensures that they are making money online.

When somebody googles a word they click the first spot and if they get what they are looking for they loose interst in all others. If they don’t they simply move down to the next on the list. That is the reason it must be made sure your website or blog is in the first 3 pages or if possible in the first top 10 in the search engine’s first page. If your website is on the 100th page, then most likely people making a search engine search will not go to your site.

The key is to make sure that your blog or website sustains a high volume of traffic always. One way is to make sure that your blog or website is competing for the right and proper keywords.

Choosing a keyword is not easy. Some keywords have a lot of competition. You can know this by typing a keyword and looking at the upper right hand portion of the website. Meaning they are being searched by a considerable number of people. This will ensure that all your hard work for optimizing the keyword will not be for nothing. Professional bloggers call this searching for “high-trend but low-dense keyword.”

Now we go to the main topic. One high-trend but low-dense keyword that bloggers must take advantage of is the word “Googel.” Since 2004 this keyword has been searched for a lot. The graph in google trends is telling us that this is a high-trend keyword. Not only is it high trend it is also a low dense key word since as of the time of this writing only 860,000 blogs or websites has mentioned it. This means that to compete for this keyword would not be so difficult.

Choosing the best keywords for your website has several advantages, the most important one being traffic (visitors). If you don’t target the right keywords, people won’t find the information on your site even if it’s the best information available.

The keywords you choose play a large part in how your website will be ranked by Google, Yahoo and the other search engines. That’s why you want to be sure you’re targeting the keywords that people are searching for in those search engines, so you attract the people looking for what you offer.

Here are several ways to choose the best keywords:

1. Using a tool such as WordTracker.com will help you to determine what keywords people are actually searching for, how stiff your competition might be for certain keyword phrases and can even reveal hidden gems that you may not have thought about originally.

2. Just because a term is searched frequently doesn’t mean you should always focus on that keyword. If you have lots of competition for a really hot keyword phrase, the likelihood of you making it to the top of the ranks in the search engines drops dramatically.

Think about who your competing with and possibly search for a better, less searched phrase to help target in on your market even better.

3. Include variations of your keyword phrases in more than one way on your site. Don’t overdo it by stuffing your site with keywords. People want quality content and if you have an article on your site that has your keyword phrase in it every other sentence they won’t stick around and what good is traffic if it leaves and never comes back?

These tips will get you started on the right foot with your keywords. There is plenty of other helpful information on sites such as ArticlesGoneViral.com that will help you really optimize your site effectively.

Surprisingly the largest decisions for new affiliate marketers is picking what to sell online. Many try product after product in an attempt to find something they can sell successfully online. Choosing a hot selling product to sell online isn’t hard. With the strategies below, anyone can find a hot selling product of their own to sell online.

The secret to becoming successful on the Internet is finding a product that is both high in demand and one that generates traffic. Actually, the commission payout is the last thing you should worry about. You can still make a lot of money with a low commission rate if you’re moving a lot of product. I’m about to show you how to find those hot products that have a lot of people looking to buy it.

To start your research, make a list of things that you’re interested in. What you’re searching for is something that you’re passionate about. Or a product or service you’ve used and know something about. You can’t sell something unless you’re knowledgeable and believe in it.

Start your research by visiting Yahoo and Google and using their traffic research tools. I use Google Trends to find the Hot Trends and look back months, if not years, to see how many people have been searching for this particular product or service that I’m thinking about selling.

The other section in Google you want to do research in is Google Trends. This tool will tell you how well the product you’re interested in has been searched for in the past. Google trends is a free tool and one you should not overlook. You want to see the line on the graph either fairly steady across the graph or rising. A downward line on the graph tells you that interest in the product is tapering off.

Once done, head over to Yahoo and use the section called The Buzz. This is a section that shows the most searched for terms of the week. You can then look at the archives to see what past search terms were hot. If you continue to see one search term show up in the list time and time again (like iPods or Britney Spears), then you know it’s a hot product.

With a little practice, you’ll soon find that locating those hot niches is not that hard. What is hard is getting enough time to promote your products and services! It just seems there’s not enough hours in a day when you’re wanting to tell the World about your hot product.

Shocked to the proverbial bone Bloomberg reported that “China’s economy, the biggest contributor to global growth, expanded at the slowest pace in five years as the financial crisis cut demand for exports. Gross domestic product rose 9 percent in the third quarter from a year earlier.”

Economy caught SARS?

To juice up the news, Bloomberg said that “China’s expansion was the weakest since the severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, epidemic slashed growth in the second quarter of 2003.”

To old China hands, this conjures up some of the worst memories, when China came to a grinding halt for months, while everybody had to stay home and was allowed to go to the shop once a week with guns pointed at you, worn by soldiers in HAZMAT gear. Can’t get any worse than that.

9% growth? That it?

Business folk all over the world would give their left eye or even more sensitive parts for 9% growth. Correction: A 9% rise of GDP could scare the rest of the world into believing that central bankers would raise interest rates to prevent more inflation.

In reality, China simply goes from an inflationary, unsustainable, and unhealthy double digit growth to a solid level everybody would love.

Of course, export growth in China slowed. It was meant to slow. Since the second half of 2007, the Chinese government tried everything to bring exports to more sustainable levels.

Points to consider:

- Retail sales in China rose 23.2 percent in September from a year earlier, matching the gain in August and close to the fastest pace in at least nine years.

- Urban disposable incomes for the first nine months of 2008 rose 14.7 percent from a year earlier. Rural cash incomes climbed 19.6 percent. People have more money and spend it.

- The formerly red-hot Chinese light vehicle market (which includes passenger vehicle and light commercial vehicle segments) is expected to slow in 2008, but it still will grow at very healthy rates. J.D. Power expects Chinese light vehicle sales to come in at 8.9 million units in 2008, which would be an increase of 9.7 % compared to 2007.

- Much of the decline in exports had its cause in the appreciation of the RMB. That was actually a reflection of the rapid depreciation of the USD which took place until July 2008. As gasgoo.com said, “for most local auto parts makers, the impact on exports brought by the demand slowdown of the global market triggered by the financial crisis will be less than that of the RMB appreciation.” Exports had been sinking steadily for the whole year.

The stock market knew it long before.

From a high of 6000 at the beginning of 2008, the Chinese stock market eroded to around 2000 now. > without most outside the country even noticing. Since January, the Chinese stock market lost more than 60% of its value, a huge bubble burst, without an echo in the rest of the world.

The Dollar rises. The Yuan stays.

In case you have been looking, the USD took a sharp turn and appreciated dramatically since July. This should be reflected in the USD/CNY currency pair, shouldn’t it?

Have a look at the chart. Until July, the Yuan pretty much appreciated against the USD as the Euro did. The Dollar went down, the Euro and the Yuan went up.

But what happened when the USD started rising, starting in July? The USD/CNY rate barely budged. The EUR/CNY rate did move.

Bloomberg said that the Chinese “central bank has stalled gains by the Yuan against the Dollar since mid-July, protecting jobs in export industries.”

Not true. The chart says they did just the opposite. The Yuan should have gone down sharply against the USD along with the other currencies. However, the Yuan barely moved.

The chart says that the Chinese central bank may have propped up the Yuan against the US Dollar. China also took other measures to cool down their overheating export machine, such as not refunding parts of the VAT for exports, and actually charging export tax on certain items.

Yuan due to go down.

Expect the USD/CNY rate to change radically within the next months, latest after the U.S. elections. We expect the Yuan to drop against the USD, the easiest way for the Chinese government to make Chinese exports more attractive. In the first half of 2008, this would have been a rather unpopular move. But now, the world has other problems than watching the CNY/USD currency pair. If anyone does complain, the obvious explanation is that in light of the strength of the Dollar, the Yuan must follow suit and go down.

And when the USD will drop, as it should when America cranks up the presses to print money to finance the bailout and two wars, the Chinese can keep the USD/CNY level, and make their goods even cheaper in Euro terms.

More measures possible:

The tax measures designed to dampen exports will most likely be lifted. Sinking commodity prices and record-low transport prices make low wage countries like China even more competitive.

Bloomberg is right: China is the country that keeps the world economy alive. The Chinese have the incentive and financial wherewithal to keep it that way. They have nearly unlimited room to grow. Most Western markets are saturated. European and Japanese have demographics that point to shrinking markets. Out of this recession, China should emerge stronger than ever.

Affiliate marketing, as the newspapers keep telling us, is the new World Wide Web gold rush, and like all previous gold rushes it’s mainly the folks selling the picks and shovels that are getting rich.

In fact, you’re a lot more likely to earn over $100,000 next year as a web designer (if you’re really good), a web hosting company, or, best of all, a “web marketing guru” than you are as one of the toiling legions of affiliate marketers.

Yet just as a few people managed to strike it rich panning for gold in California around the turn of the 20th century, so a lucky few are doing the same thing panning for affiliate sales on the Internet at the turn of the 21st. In any case, “affiliate marketing” is one of the most often-searched-for keyword phrases entered into Google. There are, it seems, hundreds of thousands of would-be Internet marketers out there who want to know how to turn their time into gold by joining the affiliate marketing rush. Consequently there are hundreds of websites and “how to” books available nowadays on the subject. I’ll give you the basics briefly and you can then decide if this is something you may wish to delve into further.

The Basics

Basically, affiliate marketing means promoting a company’s products on the Web and then receiving a commission for sales of those products (or for some other result, such as getting them sales leads).

In the abstract it sounds like easy money. You set up a website, become an “affiliate” for a product that seems like it has a good market, then run ads for the product on your website. Then, whenever someone clicks on one of the ads and buys the product, you earn a commission. Simplicity itself.

Now, if you’re not too familiar with this way of making money on the Web, you’re probably wondering, “Okay, so how do I get to be an affiliate for some company’s product? And then once I’m an affiliate, where do I get the ads? And how do I get paid?”

Before I answer those questions let me share a dirty little secret about affiliate marketing with you. In the past many companies which offered affiliate programs never paid their affiliates, or, more commonly, underpaid them. Suppose you promoted XYZ Company’s widgets on your website and received $500 worth of orders in a month. The company has promised to pay you a 20% commission. So you should receive $100. Trouble is, nobody but the company really knew how much your sales were, in many cases. They might actually pay you $50, therefore, or nothing. You wouldn’t know you were being hoodwinked.

Fortunately, there’s now a straightforward way to avoid that problem, and this answers the questions posed above. You simply become an affiliate through an affiliate network like LinkShare or Commission Junction or Clickbank. These networks represent hundreds or thousands of companies. You select the companies on the network you want to promote and your commissions are tallied by the networks, not by the companies whose products you’re promoting. You get paid directly by the networks. In my opinion, this is a huge improvement – at least now you can be sure you’ll get paid for your efforts.

So the answer to the first question above, “How do I get to be an affiliate for some company’s product?” is that you join an affiliate network. This is actually pretty easy. Just go to LinkShare or Commission Junction – the two biggest – and sign up. You’ll need a website, however.

Once you’re been accepted by a network, you can then review their extensive lists of companies which offer affiliate programs through them. You’ll be looking for some good programs that offer products or services that will appeal to the visitors to your site. So for example, if your site is about automobiles, you might want to run ads for auto accessories, auto repair, auto insurance, etc.

You’ll notice that most companies’ affiliate programs pay you on1y for actual sales (i.e., $35 for selling a car insurance policy) whereas others pay you for leads (i.e., $15 for a potential customer filling out an application for a car insurance policy). Guess which of these two types of affiliate programs is more profitable. The answer is the latter is almost inevitably more profitable. So you should, initially at least, only promote programs in which you get paid for leads, not for actual sales.

The way it works is as follows: You pick one or more programs which appeal to you, then apply to become an affiliate of those programs. In most cases, you’ll get approved automatically. In other cases, you’ll receive an email later either accepting or rejecting your application. (The company may have a policy of not accepting “new” websites, or may not accept websites in certain fields, etc. — thus a possible rejection.)

After you’ve been accepted by a few affiliate programs, return to the affiliate network’s website (i.e., the site of Commission Junction or LinkShare) and copy the HTML code for the banner ads or other types of ads you’ll be putting on your site (this HTML will have a tracking code appended to it so that you’ll get paid your commissions).

Once you put these ads onto your website you’re in the affiliate marketing business. At this point it’s just a matter of waiting for some of your visitors to click on those ads and purchase the products or fill out the application forms. Every time this happens you get credited for the stated commission. The networks generally send out checks on a monthly basis.

Doesn’t this sound great or what?. Unfortunately… there are some serious problems.

Affiliate Marketing Usually Doesn’t Work

In spite of much breathless hype by marketing gurus, most people who try affiliate marketing never make a penny of profit. Why not?

One reason is that few website visitors click on banners anymore. We’re all pretty jaded when it comes to banners, in fact we seldom even look at them, and only in very rare instances do we actually click on them and buy something.

Then there’s the huge problem of getting substantial traffic to your website. In order for affiliate marketing to have any chance at all of working you need a lot of of good, targeted traffic. Today, that can be extremely difficult to achieve, because the Web has become a crowded place. No matter what the topic of your site is, there are probably thousands or hundreds of thousands of websites out there already on the same topic. Search engines like Google and Yahoo will index your site and then pretty much forget it exists. You’ll get only a dribble of traffic and few if any sales. In a word, much work and effort, little reward.

Beating the Odds

It’s quite amazing that, despite the tremendous odds, a few people have actually found ways to earn significant incomes from affiliate marketing.

One way they’ve done it has been by using pay-per-click advertising. Google Adwords is a prime example of this, although similar ad-serving systems are available through Yahoo, MSN, and others. In pay-per-click advertising, you purchase ads on search engine results pages – these ads are called “sponsored results” or something similar. You pay a set amount each time someone clicks on the ad – usually anywhere from $0.25 to a few dollars.

That can get expensive fast. If you are paying fifty cents for one click to your ad, that brings you one visitor to your website, who may or may not click on any of your affiliate ads. A hundred such clicks and Google has charged you $50 and you may have gotten zero sales or commissions.

Nonetheless, some people have made this work. One way is by only targeting narrow niches. Not “Canon Cameras” but “Canon Powershot Cameras,” for example, or even better “Cannon Powershot DSC 600.”

Although a very broad keyword phrase like “Canon Cameras,” or worse still, “cameras,” might have thousands of people placing bids on it, a narrow one like “Canon Powershot DSC 600″ might only have a very few – namely, people marketing that particular type of camera. Thus the “per click” cost might be much lower — and the “conversion rate” (the percentage of clicks converting to sales) much higher.

So by finding niches and by bidding on many keyword phrases, some people have done quite well and continue to do so.

Another trick is called “search marketing.” Search marketing simply means to place pay-per-click ads on search engine pages (i.e., “search results” pages). Then when somebody clicks on these ads they’re taken directly to the company’s website, not to yours.

To use the example above, you might put up an ad which takes the visitor straight to the Canon web page where he/she can immediately order the Canon Powershot DSC 600 camera, instead of forcing them to first go to your web site, then click a second time to get to the Canon order page.

Search marketing can be a profitable idea but it is beset with ferocious competition. A select group of people who are extremely good at writing ads and very focused and determined can make it work – it’s being done all the time. But the sad fact is most will just run up Google Adwords bills. If you’d like to look into this further, I suggest a book called Affiliate Millions by Greg Holden and Anthony Borelli (John Wiley & Sons). It spells out everything you need to know to have a fighting chance of becoming a successful search marketer.

Google Adsense as an Alternative

Focusing your efforts entirely on affiliate marketing can be a big gamble. But there’s a way to become an affiliate marketer as a lucrative sideline, and that’s Google Adsense. Assume you have a content website on skydiving and it gets a fair amount of traffic. You can then sign up for Google Adsense and Google will provide you with a snippet of HTML to place on all your pages which will serve targeted ads related to skydiving — for example, small plane flying instruction schools, parachutes, etc. Whenever anyone clicks on one of these ads, Google credits your account with a commission.

Adsense can be a good alternative to Adwords because with Adsense you don’t have to worry about choosing affiliate programs, bidding on keywords, or paying credit card bills for ads. Adsense chooses which ads to run on your site based on your content. Needless to say, if nobody clicks on any of your Adsense ads, you receive no commissions but then you pay no credit card bills either.

According to a recent USA TODAY article, with the headline “Google Search Ads Find Momentum,” a small number of people are cleaning up with Adsense. One website owner, Marc Ostrofsky, is quoted as saying, “I put up a website, add the Google ads, and wait for the money to start flying in.”

But that’s hard to believe. In reality, nobody puts up a website and gets money flying in – you have to generate traffic first. What’s more, Ostrofsky owns a company, iREIT.com, that manages thousands of sites, some of them high-traffic. For most of us, returns from Adsense will be modest but nevertheless welcome. My website WebSearchGuides.com runs Adsense ads and does pretty well.

A Last Word

As said, “affiliate marketing” is one of the most-searched-for keyword phrases on the Internet. Each and every day, untold thousands of people research this subject, hoping to find a way to supplement their incomes with a home-based business or, even better, make a million or a couple million and forget about holding a regular job.

As a result, a thriving “guru” industry has sprung up out there, eager and willing to teach you how to become an affiliate marketer. But the big question is, If there is so much wealth to be made marketing products on the Web, how come the gurus aren’t doing it themselves instead of teaching people like you and me how to do it?

Yahoo, MSN, and Google, with the invention of their pay per click advertising model, also called PPC, have created simple and effective online advertising opportunities. These easy to use systems of advertising have encouraged so many business owners of different sizes to unleash thousands of dollars into online advertising campaigns. But, as often happens online, these PPC advertisers often don’t understand just how to create effective PPC campaigns that generate more sales for their companies.

Creating effective PPC campaigns can be simple. Below are five tricks you can use to be well on your way towards powerful and effective pay per click advertising campaigns.

5. Display URL. Once upon a time, Google allowed advertisers to put whatever they wanted into their display URL, the website address visible on the PPC advertisement. Now, your ad needs a real URL that everyone will land on when they click on your ad. You can’t even use a URL that redirects to a different website. For this reason, your display URL is even more important. Make sure you capitalize the first letter of each keyword in your display website name. For example, my website URL is www.creative-emarketingsolutions.com. When I use that URL in my PPC campaigns, I set the display URL as www.Creative-eMarketingSolutions.com. This capitalizing helps your business URL stand out from the pack.

4. Keywords in your first line of the ad. You only get four lines for your entire ad, and one of them is your display URL. The first line of your ad needs to grab the browser’s attention. It needs to set your ad apart from the dozens of other ads out there. It needs to tell the potential costumer, “Hey, I’ve got exactly what you’re searching for.”

3. Features vs. Benefits. The next line of your ad should display an important benefit of your products and services. The third line- the last one before the display URL- should explain a feature of your products or services. What’s the difference? A feature is why a customer should purchase your services or products, and a benefit explains how your customer’s needs will be met because of what you are selling.

2. Keywords. Well researched keywords will make the biggest difference in your pay per click campaigns. Use Google’s free keyword tool to select the best keywords by discovering which keywords are frequently searched for but have little competition. Keywords determine much of the pricing you pay, so do this step right!

1. Place your ads in even rotation. Make sure you create at least two different PPC ads that run simultaneously. By doing this, you are able to test different marketing messages to determine which ads convert into sales better than others. Don’t let Google decide which ad is performing best. Check your campaign settings to make sure they show evenly over time.

It’s important to test different elements of your ad to see what makes a difference in your CTR (click through rate). Sometimes just switching one word can increase your CTR. Different headlines convert differently. Try varying your display URL, both with capitals and without. By running a couple ads in competition against one another, you can test all these different elements to see what works best. Then, when you’ve found an ad that outperforms the other, create a new ad and place that in competition with the original winner.

These five simple tricks will help you dominate in the competitive world of pay per click advertising. Because it allows you to target prospects specifically by interest and location, pay per click advertising, or PPC, is one of the best options available. You can measure results precisely, and control ad spending, too. It’s also more affordable for small business owners than many other options, including billboards, television and radio.

Like anything else, PPC has disadvantages and shouldn’t be entered into without doing your homework. Hundreds or even thousands of dollars worth of advertising could be wasted if you attempt a campaign that isn’t planned and doesn’t have a strategy. There is a lot of information offering guidance when deciding your PPC strategy, so it’s a good idea to learn more about it.

Starting up is easy enough, anyone can get involved without having to sit down with a manual for a few days. There are a few basic tips, though, for anyone thinking about experimenting with pay per click it’s a good idea to examine them close. The majority of mistakes are really easy to fix so that PPC campaigns can get back on track fast. This is a small list of the most common mistakes people make, and how to fix them.

Mistake 1. Using your home page as a landing page isn’t an effective way to convert clicks to sales. No matter what search engine you’re using, the landing page is the key to making the sale. Deciding where customers are directed, instead of just showing everyone your home page when they click on an ad, is the fastest and best route for the customer. Start sending them to other links and places and they will get lost and return back to the search page, probably to click on one of your competitors ads.

People who click on your ad are looking for something very specific. It was their keyword search that brought them to your ad, so lead them straight to the sale when they click. Landing pages work, they allow you to present your customers with exactly what they’re looking for. Focus your landing pages on keywords you’re using in your advertisements.

Mistake 2. Landing pages that are confusing lose sales. Your PPC campaign will work by giving a customer an ad targeted to their keyword. The landing page they then arrive at should be related to that keyword, so don’t give the customer an excuse to back out. Make it easy for them to find what they are looking for. You should have multiple landing pages if you are promoting multiple items with keywords or phrases.

3. Using generic copy for your ads. Statements that work in other media formats probably won’t transfer to PPC. Catch phrases like “quality service” just aren’t part of the vocabulary when people are using search engines. Use a main keyword in a headline that creates interest, then tell them the benefits. Line three is perfect for special features or a discount offer. Take a look at what other advertisers are doing online.

4. Low bid placement. All search engines use their own methods for determining where to put your ad. Yahoo and Google use a combination of the relevancy of your ad, and your bid price. One big mistake that many people make is not tightly targeting keywords enough to get top placement. As much as eighty-five percent of all PPC clicks happen on ads in one of the top three positions. If you can’t focus your ads tightly enough to get that top spot, you’re missing out on a lot of traffic.

Set realistic and attainable goals and go after them.

It does not matter what your home business is, without one of these things, you will never be successful. Anyone can have an internet business but not everyone will achieve success. It is all up to you as it is your business.

When you do search engine optimisation, you are increasing your website’s rank among search engines such as Yahoo, Google and MSN. In Australia, Google is the main search engine with over 80% of the search engine market share. Tests have also revealed that Google searches almost always become either sales or inquiries much more often than searches by other major search engines do. In other words, this means that Google gives you the most high-quality search traffic. This is why you should focus your efforts to optimise on Google.

Once you rank well on Google you normally find that you rank pretty well on the others anyway. I’ll talk you through a three step process for doing search engine optimisation. Obviously, it’s a fairly complex topic and companies spend thousands of dollars for getting this done for them. It all comes down to a pretty much core three-step strategy.

Step 1: Doing Keyword Research Establish what keywords and phrases are relevant to your service or product. Then, focus your search engine optimisation efforts to maximise those. For example, if your business is local, your keyword research is going to be pretty straightforward. In that case, your keyword phrases are going to be something along the lines of your business plus your location. For example, if you are a carpet installer in Melbourne, you’ll want to say something to the effect of, “Carpet installation Melbourne,” or something similar. You can also use keyword search tools, including a free tool such as inventory.overture.com. There are also more sophisticated pay tools like keyworddiscovery.com and WordTracker.com.

Step 2: Optimising on Page Optimise your webpage content. For the best search engine optimisation and rankings, you have to make sure that the right keywords appear on your webpages. This is part of the story, true, but it’s just part of what you have to do to optimise your webpages. Here are some other things you should do to make sure you optimise effectively.

1. Include a Keyword Rich Title on Your Page. The title is the label that appears in the blue bar at the top of your web browser. It also appears as the title of your webpage in Google’s organic search results. The title should be short, concise, keyword-rich and you should put the most important keywords at the front. Take the example of a print shop located in Surry Hills, in Sydney. A good tile for them might be: Digital Printer Sydney – Colour Digital Printing Surry Hills Sydney. As you can tell its pretty keyword rich, there’s a little bit of repetition there, not too much and it doesn’t sound too weird.

2. Your Description Should Be Keyword Rich. The description is also called the “meta description tag.” This is part of your website code and describes the page’s content. Write descriptions in complete sentences and make them keyword rich. For the carpet installation service in Sydney, for example, it could read something to the effect of, “Surry Hills, Sidney Carpet Installation. Installing Carpet at a Reasonable Price.”

3. Pay Attention to Headings. Headings are very important for search engines because they seem to help them find page content is important, too. Make sure that your subheadings and headings are keyword rich for a good start, for example, using a heading such as “Carpet Installation Services in Sydney.”

4. Make Sure You’re Page Content Is Suitable. At least one paragraph of each textual page on your website should be rich in keywords. You can also repeat the keywords you use in your headings in your content. Using a mix of related key phrases is also good. For example, saying, “Carpet Cleaning, Cleaning Carpets, Clean Your Carpets,” is more suitable than using the same phrases over and over again.

5. Links Are Important. Yes, links, too, are important for page content. Instead of using generic phrases like, “Click here to find out more,” use those that are keyword rich and indicate what your business is. “Take a look at our carpet installation services” is one good example.

Step-3: Optimise Off Page As Well Utilising off page optimisation or linking strategies is the third and final stage in making sure your website is search engine optimised. When people link to your website, these are known as “incoming links,” and Google considers these as votes for your website. Many businesses fail because they only focus on using keywords and webpages but don’t utilise a linking strategy. Here are a few things you can do to start making sure your site goes up the ranks with linking strategies:

1. If You Can, Have People Who Link to Your Site Use Keywords. Let’s say a client of yours is going to link to your website. If you can, ask them to use keywords like “inexpensive carpet installation” instead of your company name or a directive like “click here.”

2. List Your Sites on Authority Directories. Listing your website on website directories which are well regarded by search engines can help to improve your rankings. Most of these so-called authority directories charge a fee for listing. A fact that serves to keep out lower quality websites. Three of the most important authority directories are: Yahoo.com.au, botw.org and business.com. Please note that I’m not talking about email scams that offer to submit your site to 34 million directories for $49. You should only bother submitting your website to directories that are well regarded by search engines.

So, you finally have your website up and running eh? Great! Now all you have to do is to sit back and wait for the visitors to come right on. But wait a minute there With over a billion websites existing at present and hundreds of thousands being added each day, how are visitors ever going to find their way to your website?

Without the URL search engine, this would not be possible at all. The URL search engines have front-ends on them. When a specific keyword or keywords or questions are typed on them, the search engine searches the whole World Web to come up with hundreds of web pages that are related to our questions. So categorization of the web pages and the information displayed on them, becomes very easy. Thus, this simple program has made it all so easy for the online business owner.

Now, your URL has to stand out from the others and has to be submitted to the search engine for inclusion. How do you go about it? Some search engines have a very easy process. All you need to do is go to a certain website and paste your URL for inclusion along with the others. One such website is www.google.com, or what we commonly refer to as Google. This website takes care of more than 80 search engines, even AOL. So should you be allowed to put down your URL on their lists for free, you are making that sure that the 80 search engines listed with them all display your website in their results pages. Another such website that caters to over 125 search engines (including HotBot, Yahoo and MSN) is Inktomi. But unlike Google, Inktomi does not allow free listings. You have to pay for your URL to be displayed on its search engines.

Your website will not achieve success unless it is indexed by the search engine. Merely handing over your website for inclusion is not going to get the job done! Your website has to become known to visitors within a month to eight weeks of its inclusion, for it to be indexed. This is so with most search engines. In case you really cannot afford to wait that long, just aim for the pay-per-click option.

In pay per click search engines, users will type certain keywords in a URL search engine and will get a set of results. Whenever they click on these results, the owner of the URL will be charged a certain amount. This amount is determined by how common the keywords are or how high up in the search listings you want to be listed. But if volume of traffic rather than transaction is your game, then the pay per click route will prove to be very attractive indeed.

With other URL search engines, it is a little more complicated. You need to decide whether it is worth paying for the privilege of having your website listed there to substantiate the traffic that may result from your URL being present in the search results. At the end of the day, unless you can get visitors to your site, there is no point in having the site at all. And any expense you may incur as a result of trying to get your website featured on URL search engines, can very well be classified as a genuine marketing and publicity expense!

When you get a business going you have to find out exactly what people are looking for if you and more importantly you have to find out exactly what they plan on spending there money on. Here are some ways to look at potential income that you can make in any industry for your online business opportunity.

One of the best things you can do is find out what people are paying for products or how much money they are putting into an industry. There are countless ways to find this out, but if you are search for an internet business to start then you need to consider going to the king of traffic, Google.

Google accounts for over two-thirds of all the traffic on the Internet, which is a huge amount of people daily that you can scoop out from. They totally destroy the competition with Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines.

They decided to focus on the searcher or the consumer rather then the marketer. They realized that all of there sales would come if they provided value first and naturally people would follow. It has been a icon business example for many people.

A lot of people now are able to market well through their Google Adwords program that gives marketers a chance to pay for ads as sponsored links on search results. These are the pages at the top and on the sides of the listings.

Bid prices are important because marketers are willing to bid more for keywords they think will pay more or do pay more. If they keep bidding for those words with high cost it is because they have high profit margins. This means there is more money in the industry.

To check this out go to the Google Adwords Free Keyword Tool and find out what people are bidding for the 4-6 positions for your keywords. This gives you a good idea because bidders 1-3 are not usually educated and tend to risk money more than the average educated marketers. If they are bidding at least $0.50 for the 4-6 positions then you know that is reasonable.

This will give you a good start at figuring out if this is an industry people put money in. No matter what the competition, if there is money to be made then you know it is a good route to go down as you dig for your niche.

Pay per click advertising – the services like Google AdWords, NineMSN Search Marketing and Yahoo Search Marketing provide you with a great way to track your online advertising, have instant results and are very cost effective. These are the qualities that make pay per click advertising my favourite way to advertise online. You need to make the most of your advertising money by ensuring that you are getting a good return for your investment. You can do this by using conversion tracking tools to determine where your money is being best spent.

A feature that allows you to do this is called conversion tracking and if you don’t know what this is you can easily search on Google for something like “Google Adwords Conversion Tracking” and a page should come up showing you how to install that. Once you have that installed, you can start to see the difference in the results between different keywords, different ads, and different landing pages. The first tip for Google Adwords or paid search is to:

1. Test Lots of Different Keywords: Don’t just test one or two; you should be testing hundreds or sometimes even thousands of very specific key phrases. You’re looking to work out which key phrases are effective at generating enquiries and which key phrases are just spending your money without having an effect. Once you have conversion tracking installed that will allow you to tell the difference.

2. Test multiple ads: Google Adwords, for one will let you try out different ads to see which are the most effective at driving traffic to your website. You’ll find out that some are far better at this than are others. For example, we worked with a client in the finance sector not so long ago and learned that one particular ad got traffic and conversions at less than a third of the cost of the other ads they were using. When you’re a larger company spending five figures on ads a month, a 30% saving is quite a lot of money.

3. Break up Your Pay Per Click Account into Targeted Ad Groups: An ad group is a set of ads which are brought up when people search for certain keywords. For instance, if you are a mortgage broker who offers mortgage refinancing, you may have a group of ads which are triggered when someone searches for the keywords “mortgage refinance” or variants of these keywords. Your ad which comes up when these terms are searched for will contain these keywords and be targeted to the demographic likely to search using these words. You’ll also need to make sure that the links send potential customers to a landing page which has to do with the refinancing of mortgages.

The goal here is to make sure that your landing pages and your ads as relevant as possible to your keywords – this is the way to get those high conversion rates you really want.

These methods can make your web based advertising dramatically more effective. Your Google AdWords and other pay per click programs can double, triple or even get ten times the results they are getting for you now!

Generating Real Estate sales leads been expanding over the last few years and continues to grow. Realtors tired of door knocking and cold-calling has led to the internet becoming the “stomping ground” for many Real Estate Agents. The problem with the internet is the saturation of all these Realtors seeking clients. As most Buyers and Sellers choose to ‘Shop Around” online as more information is available via the internet, Realtors have become frustrated. While may Real Estate Agents continue to struggle finding leads online, some have learned how to capitalize with Buyer and Seller friendly websites that draw leads to them.

Below are tips how Realtors can increase their real estate lead generation. Not only will these tips increase the amount of leads, but they will also show Realtors how to convert leads into sales!

Get high placement in search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Buyers and Sellers now begin their searches with top search engines so your website needs to rank high! A successful way to do this is with separate websites for Buyers and Sellers. As search criteria is different for Sellers than Buyers, you will need high ranking websites for BOTH!

Offer free services with your websites.

Make your website about your clients needs! You could do this by offering a free online CMA. This can be offered by a form they fill out online and then email back to you. Most Sellers are a little apprehensive to give out a contact number. This way they are only giving you their email address in exchange for your professional CMA.

Go above and beyond!

A free daily email of new listings and price adjustments is great, but follow up with personal emails! Don’t forget about them after you have them on your email list.

Make your website very user friendly.

Sellers searching for a CMA online don’t want to spend time on a Realtors website just to find out they need to compose a long email explaining their home. If they do end up typing a long email about their home, they will likely copy that email and send it to 10 other Realtors in your area. A Seller wants a basic template where they just fill in the fields.

Offer free Buying and Selling tools to your clients.

A free eBook on home staging is a great gift that any Seller would appreciate. Get the edge over your competition by offering your clients something they don’t have!

With many Realtors in the same area and/or office offering their all their clients the same tools, the competition has become fierce. Differentiating yourself from your competition and exploring your options will put you a step ahead of your peers. With the Internet having proven itself as being the way of the future for marketing real estate sales leads, you need to make sure you have a strong presence on ‘the net’. You could be the best negotiator in your market but without the right tools to get you exposure, you could also become the best kept secret.

What is Nofollow?

Nofollow is an html attribute first introduced in 2005 by Google. Originally, the rel=”nofollow” attribute was added to discourage comment spam in blogs. Links with nofollow should not influence the link target’s ranking in the search engine.

From the Google Blog:

From now on, when Google sees the attribute (rel=”nofollow”) on hyperlinks, those links won’t get any credit when we rank websites in our search results. This isn’t a negative vote for the site where the comment was posted; it’s just a way to make sure that spammers get no benefit from abusing public areas like blog comments, trackbacks, and referrer lists.

From Google Answers:

“Nofollow” provides a way for webmasters to tell search engines “Don’t follow links on this page” or “Don’t follow this specific link.”

So the rel=”nofollow” attribute is a tool that can help define your most important links to the search engines.

Search Engines that support nofollow: Google, MSN Search and Yahoo!

History of Nofollow

Originally, the nofollow attribute was used on the page-level with a meta tag. It instructed search engines not to follow (crawl) outgoing links on a page. Example: see code example on main site

Another way to tell search engines not to follow (crawl) pages was to include them in a robots.txt file. But it was more difficult to prevent robots from following individual links on a link by link basis. The rel=”nofollow” attribute allows webmasters to easily instruct the search engine robot to not crawl a link.

How to Spot Nofollow Links?

You can install browser plugins, or edits to Chrome to show a highlighted color over nofollow links. You can also install a plugin to your blogging software.

Nofollow Implications

Links are now either dofollow or nofollow. From the perspective of building links to your site or blog, dofollow links will always give you more link juice. While nofollow links won’t either harm or help your link building. With that said, how you decide to build links with respect to the nofollow attribute (whether you want to get ONLY dofollow links or both to create a more natural array of links) will be an individual choice. How to use nofollow in link building strategy is a discussion for my next post!

Nofollow FAQs

How Do I Remove Nofollow?

1. Browser Plugins – highlights all links which are nofollow

– Chrome extension – add text to ChromEdit and follow directions – FireFox has a version of the ChromEdit called ChromeEdit Plus – Firefox plugin – SEO for Firefox

2. Blog Plugins

Wordpress Nofollow Plugins:

- Lucia’s Linky Love – Rewards frequent commenters, you can set how many comments must have been made to be awarded a dofollow link. – Nofollow Reciprocity – Detects nofollow links, if you link to a site and it is nofollow, your link to them also becomes nofollow. – NoFollow Free – removes the nofollow attribute from blog comments and inserts an image band at the top of your pages with the phrase: “NoFollow Free” (optional). – Dofollow – Simply install and activate, all nofollows are removed from comments and trackbacks. – Dofollow (WP Plugin) – allows nofollows to be removed from comments, pingbacks and trackbacks but you can also set a comment age limit as well as have nofollow removed left by user type.

Andy Beard has a list of more nofollow plugins; including those for Blogger, TypePad and Moveable Type.

How Do I Add Nofollow?

For more control of your inbound and outbound links, you can add tag rel=”nofollow” within any html tag. Example: see code example on main site

Does a link with nofollow count as a backlink?

Opinions vary on whether the nofollow attribute is completely discounted, or just given less relevance to the search engines. Keep in mind that how the search engines view nofollow may also vary. However, according to Google, that answer is no.

Why would I want to use nofollow on a link?

You might want to use nofollow on a link you don’t endorse, but has information you want to point to. On blog sites, you may want to give a nofollow link to spam comments and give credit to comments that are well thought out or contribute to your post.

Search Engine Marketing in North America is estimated to be just under $10 billion in the year 2006. Do you really think search engine marketing will decrease or slow down? Like everything else it will increase due to the many commercial benefits the internet provides. You can have the best looking website but unless people visit it, you will not see an increase in sales. How much traffic is your site currently getting?

Thanks to the web you have a global market place at your disposal. Almost anything can be bought and sold over the internet. With the huge profits available the competitiveness has increased significantly. Quite simply, if you want your business to be at the top of Google the use of SEM staff is essential. Offshore SEM staff give your business access to some of the best talent available at a price all businesses can afford. The SEM staff are able to increase your search engine rankings by natural processes (this takes time) or they can increase it by paying for advertisements through places like Google. If done poorly, SEM can cost you a fortune with almost no result.

Pay per click (PPC) advertising is one of the most frequently used forms of search engine marketing (SEM). In a nutshell you pay (normally Google/Yahoo) when ever someone clicks on your search engine advertisement. The price you pay is mainly dependent on the price you bid and also the quality of your website according to the keyword you want your ad be seen on. The PPC fees can be amazingly high with some keywords costing upwards of 10 dollars per click. Think about how much that costs for 15 clicks a day for a month. That is a pretty expensive advertising campaign! SEM staff are able to find the keywords which are cost effective as well as save you the time it requires for you to implement and actually learn the ins and outs of SEM. Outsourcing SEM staff has the ability to maximize the return on your investment ensuring you are getting maximum bang for your dollar.

There are two main ways to use PPC search engine marketing. One is through Search Engines such as Google. For example someone types in “offshore SEM staff”. The top couple of responses (called sponsored links with pink background) and the advertisements down the side are all PPC advertising. So search engine marketers have bid to be on that page hoping you will click and they will get a sale. It is a fine balance between bidding high and ensuring you get sales. Offshore SEM staff can get you higher spots with lower fees using strategies such as less paying keywords such as “EMPLOYING offshore SEM Staff”. This word may cost less and will probably generate better sales.

Think about your product or service and all the words you could use to describe what your business does. Think of spelling mistakes, plurals, capital letters and words like what is, how does, where to and much much more. If you put all these words together there would be thousands of combinations. You have probably thought of less than 5% of the possible keywords. SEM staff are able to do all of this at a reduced price saving you time, money and angst.

The other form of SEM is PPC on particular sites. So you can have your advertisement on sites with keywords related to your industry. It is best to be particular with this but again it is time consuming and high quality offshore SEM staff can do this for you. This will also save you money because you are not bidding on places that are somewhat irrelevant to your service.

As you can see search engine marketing is a science. What you have read here is only the tip of the iceberg in regards to SEM. If you have the time and money to learn then you will create much more business. However, if you are not interested in SEM or just don’t have the time then outsourcing offshore SEM staff may be an option. This will also allow you to concentrate on the key components of your business such as the actual selling/creation of your products.

All that you have heard is true. With pay per click marketing, you can make a lot of money with little effort, in a relatively short time. It can be a great asset to any advertising campaign. However there is a little secret that nobody lets you know. Behind the scenes of every successful pay per click marketing campaign is a sharp mind and a lot of hard work.

Choice of search engine is important. The choice is obvious, Google or Yahoo. They certainly have the lion’s share of the pay per click business but there are other search engines available. Pay Per Click Universe provide some good information on pay per click engines and has some great reviews of these engines.

1. Google

2. Yahoo!

3. ABC Search

4. Search Feed

5. 7 Search

6. MIVA

7. Enhance Interactive

8. Findology

9. Microsoft adCenter

10. Ask.com

Smart marketers will be able to utilize all of these programs and will see which ones work best for their business.

A very important part of making a successful campaign is choosing the right keyword. This has be the exact blend of a general keyword to create traffic and a specialized one to target your niche market. Now many search engines do have a database of frequently searched keywords and you can begin your search for keywords here. Be careful in your selection, as these keywords are often too broad and may just bring traffic but no sales to your particular market.

Your next step is to decide what amount you will bid on your keyword. This will decide what position your ad will hold. For the best exposure and the maximum views it is necessary to be one of the highest bidders. Positioning is of paramount importance, due to the fact that searchers will not usually look beyond the first 5 pages. In fact if your ad is not within this range you can assume that it will not even be seen.

Lastly do not forget the importance of micromanagement. It is critical to your success that you do not forget to do this. You must understand how each of your ads are contributing to your business. Are they pulling? Are they bringing in money and are you getting leads from them? Be ready to tweak and if necessary delete your ads.

It is possible to make a tidy profit with your pay per click marketing. However in order to do this you will need to micro-mange your campaign and do your research carefully. Remember the key to success is being willing to experiment. Do not get frustrated if you do not see the money coming in as soon as you start your account. Bear in mind that “Rome was not built in a day.”

So do not just read about these points memorize them and put them into action. You will be glad you did when you see the money coming in from your pay per click advertising. Use multiple engines to multiple your profits.

In this world of globalization, Web hosting service is an immensely popular technological service – and a necessity for an adult website. When we talk about Web hosting, it refers to a service through an online system for the individuals or organizations in order to provide them with the systems that help to store information, images, video, or any content that one can get through the Web. The service of such companies is all about providing space on a server to be used by their clients and it also endows them with Internet connectivity in a data center. Apart from their servers, such companies give data center space and Internet connectivity to the other servers that are to be located in their data center.

Scope of Service

The scope of this service ranges from file hosting (here Web pages and other files are uploaded via FTP or a Web interface like www.onlinecreditcardsinfo.com). If needed, the files are delivered to the Web with a bit of processing. Some ISPs make this service absolutely free. GeoCities or Yahoo! Services also endow you with Web page hosting that can be free or advertisement sponsored, or inexpensive.

Adult Website Hosting

Well, I can prominently say one thing that for pictures and videos meant for the adults, Adult Website Hosting is truly perfect. An adult content site can have adult web servers from such companies. Moreover, media-guide and ecommerce solutions are there to help you. A huge circulation of money is responsible for the mounting popularity of Adult Website Hosting. You get to know the way to find the best adult Web hosting in order to earn money through this article. Its popularity gets clarified as the United States National Research Council declared in 2002 that by 2007 this industry is expected to grow up by nearly $7 billion.

Moreover, statistics denote the fact that adult web hosting had got 260 million web pages on the net by 2003 and it is on increase by 1800% annually. Let’s not get astonished to know that people from their own house as part of businesses host a good number of adult websites in order to compete with larger organizations. This is truly responsible to make this aspect of adult Web hosting such a popular one.

In 2003, USA Today announced that almost 34 million Internet users get to the adult web sites or 1 in every 4 users of the net and it certainly refers to the fact of our email addresses being filled with unexpected adult content. Most of such websites outsource the web hosting requirements instead of maintaining it. A better site prefers a web hosting option having features like a guaranteed uptime, reliability, flexibility and 24 hour access to customer service staff.

Once a creator of an adult web site gets the best web hosting service, the hub of interest becomes the profitable marketing. But, things can be deplorable for you if you choose to go with a bad or free web host as it causes even an 88% drop in business. So, don’t forget to look for an uptime guarantee.

Undoubtedly, websites having adult content are really very popular and can have a good response from the people as a fee-based membership site. But you have to be careful and vigilant about the risks that can distort laws. As far as the adult web hosting is concerned, you definitely need to abide by the laws that you confront with in each locality. Your adult site can face problems if you are not within the limitations. All across the globe, many people thinking that any adult content proves obscene document neglecting laws is the main problem.

A serious problem about the aspect of laws is its wide range, changing from place to place. Like an experienced adult content webmaster, all you can do to avoid this problem is to try your level best to put an end to the access by minors to pornographic content.

Honestly speaking, the definition of ‘obscenity’ it is not in any rulebook. So, what happens is that people often abide by their own definition and conception of the term ‘obscene’. For your safety, contents like incest, bestiality, child pornography and rape of any sort should be fought shy of. It does not, by any means, mean that the websites don’t advertise such things. They take risk and earn money. So, in order to make it a profitable business, you have to carefully handle the world of law being truly in its realm.

To find out the actual obscenity rating of a website or any other media, there is an interesting, unique and effective test in the USA. According to the Wikipedia listed “Miller Test”, your site or product is liable to be treated as obscene if it is taken into account without any merits in the cultural, artistic, or literary aspects.

As for the United Kingdom, you get to know about a mixed bag of laws reflected in many comments. Some denote the fact that “Child pornography and bestiality are illegal under the Sexual Offences Act 2003?, whereas, another such comment shows Obscenity law in England and Wales to be governed by the various Obscene Publications Acts at present. Not only that, there is also the confirmation of the fact that in August 2005, it became clear that government intends to criminalize the hosting of extreme pornographic material.

You can make a page that states the site is restricted to a certain age-bar because of its adult content. This can be done for escaping or avoiding such a problem. In spite of this, you have to take your role as a Webmaster seriously by keeping the minors aloof from the site. Though slightly imperfect, yet the Age Verification System can help you out. By all means, risks are always present. Consequently, you need to have a helpful lawyer.

Keep a mental note of the reality that a good site never means that the cheap website hosting company is a good one and vice versa. If a cheap website hosting company comprises all the information, had proper web hosting plans and other services, then only can it be treated as serious and reliable. On the contrary, it proves a failure if the site exhibits inaccuracy and incomplete information.

Choosing the right web hosting site

Cheap web hosting sites are liable to be selected because of its payment methods, satisfactory discounts and promotions. It basically all boils down to comparison. For instance, company is more reliable if it deals in checks, credit card payments, wired bank transfers etc. rather than only in cash and credit cards.

Clear all your doubts by either a telephone conversation or an email contact with the web hosting service provider. It throws immense light on the aspects like their promptness and professionalism in business. You are expected to have an acquaintance with the priorities for pre-sales questions of web-server hosting companies. In fact, there is also the option of a “Live chat” endowing you with the exact information.

We’ve all heard repeatedly that the money is in the list. But what about the people who are fairly new and either don’t have a list or possess only a small one? But even then, experienced marketers are constantly looking for methods to build their list. One’s list can never be too large.

Some people wonder why they need a list. It’s in order to promote your website, products or affiliates products to. Without traffic, there are no sales. Lists are some of the most powerful and cost effective way a person can advertise.

I’d like to share my experience with using a service called Cash Speeder Insta List. It’s a service free to join, it allows a person to send their email ad to every person who signs up after you do, no matter who originally refers that person to them. That’s the beauty of getting people to take action. The sooner they sign up, the more people they can advertise to for free. Its web based so no software to download, completely opt in so you won’t be accused of spam, and it’s sent via their servers.

So how does it compare to any old safelist that floods your email box, and leaves you wondering if anyone actually can find your ad among the thousands flooded? I’ve found the amount of emails I received from Cash Speeder to be reasonable. You still would want to use a gmail or yahoo account however when signing up. I have found it has brought real traffic to my site as well.

Here’s the real beauty. If a person chooses to upgrade their membership to pro, it costs a small one time fee of $20. something everyone can afford. The benefit to upgrade is several points. Your ads are sent automatically every 48 hours instead of weekly, you can change your ads anytime to want. Pros can also opt to not receive emails. Also pros are given two text ads that are sent out as sponsor ads, dramatically increasing their site’s exposure.

Another benefit to upgrade is that you have the ability to receive $5.00 commission checks for anyone that signs up and upgrades that you’ve referred. For a small $20. something anyone can afford, I’ve found this product to be worth the cost many times over, both in commissions and the traffic and sales it’s brought to my site.

If you’re a business owner with a website, you know that you need to get traffic to your website.

You may be asking: what do you mean by “traffic”. I’m glad you asked. Website traffic refers to people checking out your site. Consider the possibility of laying out the investment to build a website, and thousands of dollars later, you have nice-looking site that no one knows about and thereby not earning you money. You may as well put a McDonald’s smack-dab in the middle of Death Valley.

Many methods exist for traffic generation. For getting traffic quickly, check out these two options.

First, you can borrow traffic. Most businesses can use some form of this method, and I encourage you to creatively adapt it to your specific situation. In essence, you simply get another website owner to agree to recommend your product or service to their “list” of interested individuals. This usually involves offering a referral fee or commission to get them to agree to this.

This procedure gets results for these two reasons. First, the other website owner has already invested the time and money required to collect the names and contact information of interested individuals, sparing you from doing the same. Second, this method allows you to get “credit” for the credibility of the other website owner. Think about your own experience. Do you normally seek out self-serving, traditional advertisements, or do you rely more upon the advice of friends and trusted acquaintances when making a buying decision? The answer is obvious.

Borrowing traffic usually will not cost you out of pocket cash, although normally you should be prepared to pay out of your proceeds.

The second basic fast-traffic method is to pay for advertising. You have many options available for paid advertising, and I’m going to recommend pay-per-click advertising. Google Adwords is the easiest venue to start with this method, although Yahoo and MSN have similar programs. With pay-per-click advertising, you are able to target specific keywords that people are searching for, and you can start in a matter of minutes.

This method of advertising is attractive for numerous reasons. Chief of these is the ability to match the words people are searching for with your particular ad. Another great benefit is you can track many aspects of your pay-per-click campaigns.

This method does mean you will pay before making sales, although Google probably won’t charge your credit card until the end of the month. As a caution, in the beginning you will want to monitor your Adwords account often to make sure you are not spending more than you intended.

I had discussed just two techniques for website traffic generation. Other articles will give you even more options.

We’ve heard before that the money is in the list. What about people who are new to online selling and either do not have a list or have a small one? Even then, those who do have large lists are always looking for ways to build their contact list. A person’s list can never be large enough.

Some people wonder why they need a list. It’s in order to promote your website, products or affiliates products to. Without traffic, there are no sales. Lists are some of the most powerful and cost effective way a person can advertise.

I’ve used a product called Cash Speeder Insta List I’d like to share my findings with. Cash Speeder is a service that is totally free to join. It allows you to send your advertisement via email to every person who signs up after you do, no matter who refers that person to Cash Speeder. This figure usually ends up being very large, up to the 10,000’s range. Good hook to get people to take action. Its web based so there’s no software needed to download, and totally opt in so there’s no risk of being accused of spam, and the ads are sent via their web servers, which I’ve found to be very reliable.

But here’s the real beauty, if a person chooses to upgrade their membership to Pro, it costs a one fee of $20. The benefit of upgrading is it allows your ad to autosend every 48 hours instead of weekly. You can edit your ad anytime you want to promote different products. Pros can also chose the option of not receiving emails. Plus pros get two text ads sent as sponsor ads in many emails as well.

The other benefit of upgrading is that it earns you to right to receive commission payments of $5.00 for every person who you refer that upgrades. For a small $20. I’ve found this service to be worth every cent, both in commissions and the very real traffic it has sent to my site and the sales resulting.

Probably the most effective method of earning money on the Internet is by obtaining knowledge about how to successful utilize the powers of large search engines in order to increase the popularity and success of your online business. Many online business owners use the term of search engines optimization to describe how they are using search engines to achieve certain business goals and increase their overall financial profitability.

Search engine optimization is a phrase that many people refer to on the Internet because it is very important to the growth of web site companies. The fact is simple; if you want to maintain a successful and profitable web page, then you have to learn how to effectively use the technique of search engine optimization. The implementation of these various techniques is a skill that every web site owner hopes to master.

After you begin to understand the process, you will definitely start to implement them. Usually you will start by targeting specific keywords. To do this, you will make sure that your keywords appear in all the right locations. Using proper keyword density can go a long way toward getting you the ranking you need while keeping your site out of trouble.

The first step in the process of optimizing for search engines is understanding the process they use to rank pages. This process contains many different variables, including the position and existence of keywords on the web pages in question. Site designers that keep their pages simple while focusing on text will usually get the best results from their efforts.

Large search engines like Google and Yahoo have dominated the online landscape for quite some time and are used by millions of people each day. A major part of the online economy is regulated based on the methods these companies use to rank pages. High rankings in these search engines can be worth extreme amounts of money, depending on the keywords that a site has been ranked for.

Using tools that are available online, you can find out a lot about what people are searching for online. Many entrepreneurs create sites based around keywords that fit their criteria, instead of looking for keywords that match their existing business. No matter what order you do it in, keyword selection is a most crucial aspect of creating search traffic.

SEO is short for search engine optimization. SEO is an extremely difficult method that has many factors that compute the search engine position of your website. Usually, SEO companies only complete search engine optimization to already made website. In addition, web design companies can only design a website and simply do not have the experience to perform SEO as well. Now, a group of Texas Web Designers have emerged from “Reach A Web” and have finally mastered both web design and SEO.

While many website owners are often left with a sleek looking website but with a horrible Yahoo/Google search engine placement, or if you took it a step further a website that was designed by some XYZ Web Designers and the SEO Company you hired has embedded a bunch of keywords that destroyed your original design. Don’t you deserve to have both? Here’s how you can accomplish that; simply redesign your website using a company that knows how to do both. In many cases starting from scratch is the only way to a successful looking and operating website. This group of Texas Web Designers can finally get the work done right.

Why should you limit yourself to a website that offers very little of either exposure or looks? Your business is great and your ideas are even greater. You owe it to yourself to have both the presentation and exposure to secure your next online sale!

Why should you pay upwards of $2000.00/mo for SEO work when this group of Texas web designers that enjoy their work can charge overseas prices in Texas? With them, you can have a complete custom web design and SEO included for under $4k. Just think about the savings. A custom web design plus an SEO evaluation and not to mention the 6 months minimum of SEO work can add up to at least $8900.00. How did we come up with this figure? Custom web design $3500.00 + Initial SEO report $600.00 + $800.00/mo for a minimum of 6 months contract = $8,900.00. Try this, most that get things done this way are not happy with the final look of your website and not to mention they are not too sure if the SEO work was done ethically and correctly. Do you really want to take that chance?

Let’s face it; SEO companies are not web design companies in nature. Those expertises are divided in two: SEO specialists and Web Design specialists. That is of course until you find a company that is truly good at both. The Texas web designers at REACH A WEB are the one of the few groups that can do both. They listen, care, and deliver with excellence.

Just think and take a deep breath. Give your web presence a moment and think of the opportunities. Now, give your presentation a thought. Are you really maximizing your website’s potential? Don’t short change yourself on either. Your website is your store today and tomorrow. Find a good web designer that can accomplish both the sharp SEO work and the web design evn if it has be done from the ground up. You will simply thank me later!

A new concept in Internet marketing has emerged with the advent of Pay Per Click advertising. It seems that the search engines have finally managed to perfect the art of making profits with online promotions. Now what precisely does this mean?

Now let us think about the old way of advertising. You would pay money down to a company who would place your ad. The company showing your ad would be paid according to the length of time you wanted to run it. The exposure you get is nothing to do with what you pay the company.

There were a number of options. News media, TV, radio and website promotions were just a few that could be used by advertisers. Then somebody came up with a bright idea. Of course some online ads were better than others and gave far more views. For example advertising on a busy website would give your ad many views. They developed a concept that paid the website owner and advertiser.

If you raised prices for the advertiser you would risk losing customers. In fact it could also be detrimental to the credibility of your business. Customers and sales would be lost and your competitors will start to get the edge on you.

Business might not pick up and your site’s reputation would suffer. Enter the idea of pay per click advertising. The advertiser writes a small ad based on a good performing keyword. Then they submit it to the search engines, the ad will come up when its keyword is searched for. Every time a searcher clicks through on the ad the advertiser will pay a small fee to the search engine. This means both advertisers and host make money.

Search engines took this concept one step further and allowed advertisers to bid more on particular keywords to get a better position for their ad. This meant that the highest bidder would get the best place and the highest amount of exposure. Both search engine and advertiser can make better money this way.

Apart from Google and Google Adwords there are other pay per click engines. Many people tend to ignore this fact. Some better alternatives are; Microsoft Adcenter, Yahoo Search and Search Feed. If you want to make a profit with pay per click advertising you will need to explore these other options.

It is wise to use as many different tactics for gaining traffic as you can. Using different pay per click engines will help you to expand your business and increase your profits.

For most people with the internet the local news just doesn’t cut it for us anymore. We want personal in depth stories that most local news broadcasts aren’t willing to cover. Or maybe you like knowing what’s going on locally but you hate having to be on a time schedule. You are forced to listen to forty minutes of negative reports that you’ve already seen, just to hear the new story.

We are fortunate to have online blogs so we can stay on top of all the most recent information. All of the TV stations that you watch have internet sites. News blogs are ideal for those interested in learning more about certain topics because posts are generally categorized by topic. Political pundits and voiced their opinions fiercly thanks to blogging on the internet. American politics are currently influenced by blogs and political opinion.

Blogs are not just useful in the political arena. You will also see comments regarding recent events that have been posted by bloggers. Blogs from citizens of Iraq were popular during the American bombing campaign there. In this location the blogs truly let readers known the accurate information based on a witnesses first-hand experience. Big business obviously controls media in the traditiona sense, like televised news broadcasts. Before you receive the content, it has been filtered. I, for one, do not like anyone filtering my news.

In order to stay on top of the latest events and posts, you are able to utilize a blog RSS feed. Get all your favorite blog updates at once for free with Google Reader.

People who have set up an account at google have access to their favorite RSS feeds on their personalized google home page. This same service is offered by Yahoo. This is probably the most convenient way to get your favorites blogs. Viewers that provide a variety of options to show and filter what you have selected to view can be downloaded and installed on your computer.

If you prefer you can receive your feed by email too. Most blogs offer this kind of service and you will get an update daily (or as often as the author updates it) on your inbox. This is too a good way to stay at the top of the news of the themes that most interest you. Personally this is my favorite way to receive updates, since I always check my email several times during the day.

If your favorite blog doesn’t offer some of this options, you can ask the author to include it. Most of them will be happy to give you this kind of service to their readers. Although most blog software nowadays have this options installed by default, so it is usually just a matter of activating them.

Nowadays I prefer blogs over watching the news, simply because I like to get the facts without having to wait through a commercial.

Search Engine Optimization is the use of certain word to help get you a better ranking within the search engines. But many times we get so focused on using just the right words and repeating those words a certain number of times so that the search engines will list us under those words that we lose sight of what our content is. The content and the information we try to transmit to readers becomes lost on the way. And whatever we wrote becomes unreadable, uninteresting and even silly.

How does SEO work? Well supposedly Google, Yahoo, and other search engines have tools which help them see how relevant your site is to a certain subject based on the number of times certain words are repeated within your content. So many decide to repeat or include the words for which they want their products to be found many times. The problem with this is that the content becomes unreadable, and the search engines are realizing this and changing it. Its no longer about using the right words a certain number of times, it’s about getting relevant content to your product. Its about informing your readers about your product. Readers are actually interested in finding out more about your product.

When you are target marketing you want to get the right kind of traffic, and that means interesting people that are looking for your product. Its important that everything you put on your site is relevant to your product, but very informative too. So if your site is about “Dancing” putting content related to “sleep disorders” is not going to get people to go to the advertisements, or sites related to “sleep disorders.” No matter how high your site has ranked for sleep disorders.

SEO target marketing focuses on giving your reader the information you need and ranking your site for the actual words that are relevant to your product.

This way the traffic you get to your site will be because you have established yourself as an expert in your field and people come to you looking for useful information. You get people interested in the information on your site, and they keep returning.

When you interest your readers in your site then those visitors are more likely to convert into buyers. You will be happier with the relevant traffic you are getting, and they will be happier because they are getting what they actually look for.

When you own an internet company or an offline company that you want to market online you always want to keep SEO in mind, but SEO for the particular reader that could be interested in the product you market.

Keeping the balance between SEO and good content is the key to your SEO endeavors and getting the right traffic to your site, traffic that is willing to buy your product or keep coming back for good information and eventually buy your product.

Your online business needs paying customers. Although there are many techniques for getting them pay per click advertising has proven to be one of the most effective. Your business deserves it and you really can’t afford to ignore it. Whether you’re a business that’s taken it’s first step into online marketing or you’re well established and just trying to help customers find your site, PPC or pay per click advertising is something that you cannot afford to ignore.

Essentially, when you subscribe to a pay per click program, a link to your business will appear at a specific time and place. Whenever someone clicks the link to go to your business’s website, you will need to pay the advertiser a pre-arranged sum, usually not more than a few cents. While this is relatively simple, there are a few things to keep in mind.

Number one is, where and when should your ad show up? With the help of your search engine management company you will choose a certain set of keywords and when these keywords are entered into any major search engine i.e. Google, Yahoo, Msn, AOL etc a link to your website will appear on top or to the right of the natural search results. For instance, if you sell custom shoes online, one set of keywords that pulls up your site might be “custom shoes.”

When you think about the fact that about fifty percent of all sales on the internet are preceded by the use of a search engine, it is certainly important to think about advertising in this fashion!

Be in front of your prospects when they are in the buying mood for your services. That’s the reason people are so annoyed with spam. It interrupts what they considered important to have to respond to an annoying sales message. Make your sales message count and give it to customers when they’re interested in hearing it. When they’re using a search engine, they are in a receptive state of mind and coming across your link will feel like a positive thing rather than an annoyance.

Make the most of your ad budget. Hire effective pay per click campaign management. Remember that you’re only charged if someone clicks on your link and visits your website. You can add or subtract keywords at any time. Find out which keywords convert and which don’t. Keywords that are very specific usually have the highest conversion rate but you can make money with some general ones if you track carefully. With PPC programs you can set a daily budget so you’re in control of your ad cost. By controlling your daily budget and tracking your keyword results you can be very effective.

Many different business are competing online for customers that should be yours. Make sure these higher than average spenders find your website. Be there when they are searching for you. Use pay per click targeted advertising to achieve your sales goals.

Typically Pay Per Click ads are the first results presented following a search query on a major search engine. If consumers then click on an advertiser’s link and visit their site a charge is accrued. There is no charge just for seeing the advertiser’s 3 line ad copy. The consumer must actually click on the link. The quality score determines link position on a results page. It is made up of the advertiser’s bid price and the ad click-through rate also known as ctr.

Though relatively new in the market, Pay per click advertising has evolved rapidly over the last few years. From the beginning when GoTo.Com first used it as a model for their search engine it has proven to be a winner. Before GoTo.Com it was very difficult, if not impossible, for new advertisers to get to the top of the search results on major search engines. All that changed with the advent of the Pay Per Click model. Now the advertiser is free to spend his time picking the best converting keywords and sending visitors to his best landing pages.

There is lots of talk all over the Internet regarding Pay-Per-Click Advertising. Some people swear by it and some say it is waste of your time. Although Pay-Per-Click Advertising can be expensive, if you know your margins and are vigilant it has proven to be very cost effective.

Why? Because there’s something to gain for everyone here; the customer finds the product, the advertiser generates business and profit, and the search engine gets paid for it! With all the analytical tools that are readily available today Advertisers can invest money on the keywords they expect potential customers would enter in search queries.

Currently the most popular search engines offering the Pay-Per-Click model are: Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft Ad Center. Although there are similarities between each of the big three the submission process varies with each search engine. Unless an advertiser is experienced in dealing with the nuances of each engine, it is probably wise to outsource the submission and maintenance to a third party firm.

By paying for search engine traffic advertisers can make sure that the product or service gets listed and is made available to the market . Moreover, it is a total misconception that there won’t be any marketing costs in models like SEO. The amount of money spent in optimizing your keywords, creating in-bound links, understanding and applying the correct keyword density and designing a site that still converts at a reasonable roi might just overshoot what one would have paid to the search engine in exchange for sure visibility!

The pay per click model is tailor made for advertisers seeking quick results. This goes for seasonal products say chocolates, cards and other gifts which become hot selling items during festive season of Christmas. But since the market for these products exists only for a very short period the sellers wants to hog all the limelight during this period. A PPC model assures the advertiser his products or services can be found by the consumer in time to take advantage of the season.

When you study the details make sure they include domain name registration for free. Many organizations get this service from their web hosts because of the massive business they send their way.

* Check if the web hosting company provides free domain name registration with a private plan. This feature helps to protect the important personal information of the business organization from the inquiry of the general public. In fact, there are a number of people who try to abuse the privilege provided by a website. Google is another free sub domain provider if you use their new page creator to build a website. This is still in Beta but it allows for great flexibility and function in order to put up a free web space. If you are willing to search, there are plenty of ways to make money from a blog. There is one ingredient for success that you need to make successful – the ‘big T’. What is the big T? Well, its ‘traffic’; if your blog site doesn’t have enough traffic, you will not earn any money.

Let’s share some great ways to make money from your blog. PayPerPost and ReviewMe are two good ways to start making money. These programs do not depend on click through rates, traffic or other factors to use them. This is an excellent option for bloggers with a hectic schedule. If you wish, you may write a review for a fee which is an excellent method to make money from blogging.

You can almost guarantee a regular income stream by choosing this option. Do spend some time looking into these points beforehand. The fastest way to failure is to make a post when you have a review to make. The presence of too many sponsored posts makes your blogs less credible; accept sponsors only for product reviews that are relevant to your niche.

You will have more options if the revenue is based on the reader’s actions, purchases, and participation. A good example of this in action is affiliate offers. This option lets you incorporate the offers and links into your actual text. Suppose your blogs are all about repairing credit, make sure that you provide links and advertisements for services associated with credit repair, credit reports, and other related services or products. There are some wonderful surprises to be discovered using this method. NeverBlueAds, AzoogleAds, Share-a-Sale, and Commission Junction are simply havens to find great programs; find some great offers by visiting the website.

If you want a less invasive option, this is what’s for you – try introducing content-based advertising on the pages of your website. All the advertisements will be created based on the contents of the page. It is well known that Yahoo advertising and Google Adsense obviously use such programs for their ad network.

You can join into the league of successful people making a regular income through this system. Every visitor that visits your blog can increase your turnover; you can expect to earn money from the traffic because these ads are part of the website. Placing those ads will give your visitors extra information.

So forget your hesitancy, just choose which money making idea that appeals to you by selecting the ones that you believe will work. You can notice some similar qualities in all successful bloggers. Your talent can be turned into a money making opportunity online. Make a fresh start by becoming a blogger today.

Well there is a lot of truth in what you have heard. Pay per click will allow you to make money quickly and easily. It can really boost your business. But the real truth is this, at the back of every profitable campaign is a master mind who has spent a lot of time and trouble to make this method work.

Choice of search engine is the key to the success of your campaign. Of course when you think of pay per click the big engines like Google and Yahoo spring to mind. This is because they are bigger and, some would say, better than the other engines. At the same time it should be noted that there are other search engines available. Pay Per Click Universe lists the top 10 engines.

1. Google

2. Yahoo!

3. ABC Search

4. Search Feed

5. 7 Search

6. MIVA

7. Enhance Interactive

8. Findology

9. Microsoft adCenter

10. Ask.com

An ambitious and intelligent promoter will take advantage of all these engines and see which ones will be best for his business.

Choice of keywords is critical to your pay per click success. Your choice will be determined by 2 types of keywords; tight niche ones that will bring a small amount of traffic but only a few sales and general ones that bring a large amount of views but a lot of wasted leads. Popular keywords can be found by looking at the search engine database, but do not rely on these alone. This is because these popular keywords will bring a good stream of views but not many sales.

After you have completed your keyword research you will now have to begin thinking about bids. Bear in mind that the highest bidder will get the best position. After all the search engines must make money too. The more money you invest the better the exposure for your ad. It is critical to your success to be positioned among the first 5-10 pages of search results, as searchers will not go beyond this range of pages.

Put this knowledge to work for you and see how you can increase your profits. When you make use of a number of pay per click engines you will be able to develop your business. Of course it is hard work initially but you will soon see your hard work pay off.

A website can be created with a variety of purposes but the basic idea is to share information, news, views and thoughts. Small businesses know the importance of web hosting services and that value can be measured in profits – to the tune of billions of dollars. Web hosting enables you to get your small business known to the world. With a properly hosted website you can popularize your company and brand across the globe, especially to the target audiences who cannot be informed otherwise. To experience the benefits of creating websites, one needs to be careful while selecting a web host for an ecommerce website. Finding the best web hosting is often difficult and demands a lot of study and research work. When you look for information on web hosts, over the internet, several results come up. But the question is who these hosts are? Are they reliable? Can they provide you all sorts of benefits that are required? It is very essential to get answers to these questions before venturing for any web hosting service.

These following tips will help you to accomplish your web hosting requirements:

Find out your web hosting requirements at the very beginning:

Once you are determined that you have to create a niche for your website in the Internet, it’s time to figure out the purpose of the website. Decide on what type of website you want to build. There are various types like, e-commerce, hobby site, interactive sites etc that can be adapted. If you want to feature an e-commerce site, security requirements are must. You will require Secure Sockets Layer encryption and also shopping carts which form the very basic components of an e-commerce site. If you want to feature a customer e-commerce site then it is essential that you select the right sort of web hosting environment that supports the various software systems. Blog sites are often developed in PHP or Perl/CGI scripting and these sites need access to MySQL or SQL databases. These factors are highly technical and those with little knowledge depend largely on the web hosts. Some web hosts take the advantage of the customer’s ignorance and charge unnecessarily for such information. Therefore the only solution is to gather some knowledge before hiring the web hosts.

Storage space

The storage space required is determined by the nature and content matter of your website. A small website, which doesn’t include many features, would require less space. On the other hand, a website that consists of a lot of content, pictures, videos and graphics would require a bigger space. Websites used for e-commerce purpose usually hold extensive information and a large quantity of data. Normally, web hosts provide separate databases to the customers but there are many who don’t. It has often been observed that the separate databases create confusions at times as the storage spaces are not exactly the same as it is claimed to be in the catalogs.

Deciding on the bandwidth

Bandwidth of a website is essential. The number of hits that your website would experience could determine the bandwidth limit that your website requires. This can be stated in a simple way, if your website is a popular one and is used by the visitors frequently, your site would require or rather consume heavy bandwidth than a site on which visitors hardly click. Suppose you have a website that is simple without too many features and average webpage is of 8KB. If it is assumed that your web pages experience 10 hits per day, then your bandwidth per month would be 810×30.

Bandwidth is an essential factor of web hosting and before fixing up you deal with a company, try to estimate the size of your website. You can alternatively, put this decision on the web host’s shoulders but provide the specifications of your website in details. Online forums and blogs consume more bandwidth than that of simple company websites. This is because visitors not only click on these websites for reading proposes but they also participate in it actively.

Important features of Web hosting

The next thing that you need to do is to select the web hosting features that are required for your website. Websites can be developed using simple HTML or using PHP/ASP and Flash. No matter what are the technical bases of the website is, you need to get it clarified from the web hosts that they have support to such services or not. Programming languages are of foremost requirements as they determine the look and feel of your website. As the owner of your website, you need special access to it. These accesses are provided with the help of FTP or Telnet. But what kind of access you need to your website will have to clarified and checked out with your web hosting service provider.

Different types of web hosting

The web hosts provide a large number of web hosting services. Usually, these services depend on your financial plans as well as purposes of the web hosts. There are several types of services offered by a web host, such as dedicated, shared, managed, server co-location, reseller and free web hosting services. You can select one that suits your budget and website specifications. Big budget companies with large websites need to opt for dedicate web hosting, while a small website can go for a free web hosting. All these web hosting have certain benefits and drawbacks. However, the most vital factor is the legitimacy of your web host.

Essential tips to move forward with a website:

* Calculating the value of data that your website would create is very important. This is usually a rough calculation, which is likely to change with time and expansion of your website.

* If you are going for a speared database then you must check out be careful about the extra charge that the web host is levying on you for the database.

* If you website is expected to grow in future then it is always better to keep some bandwidth and disc space in store for that.

* If a web host claims to provide you with unlimited bandwidth then do not go by such words as bandwidth and storage space can never be limited. They are always restrictive to a certain amount.

* Always consider the Operating System you are using for your site. Usually, Windows web hosts offer access to a large number of technologies, which are not available with Linux or UNIX web hosts.

* Do not always think of price. If possible try to keep your budget flexible to experience the bets of services.

* Do not change your web host frequently. However, you can change your web host in case there is an urgent situation.

* Find out what kind of domain name services the web hosts offer. Relevance of the domain name with that of the website and its objective is very essential according to the search engine rules.

* Opt for a web host that can provide you a great deal of information on SEO or Search Engine Optimization, since the ranking of your website depends on its SEO in the major search engines such Google, Yahoo and MSN.

* There are various web hosting directories available on the internet from where you can get the references of companies that provide these services. From there you can gather information about the various types of services offered by them, the projects that they have handled and read through the customer reviews.

An an internet marketer, generating free traffic should be your primary concern. The unfortunate reality is that most online business owners are not taking advantage of their existing traffic base. Viral marketing is not even on their radar.

Adding a tell a friend program is very easy to do and can produce a significant amount of free traffic. You must allow your visitors to easily tell their friends about your online business. This will create a snow ball effect.

People are more likely to respond to an invitation from a friend, which improves the odds of making a purchase. Everybody knows is easier to close a sale when somebody has been referred to your website by a close friend or associate.

Most tell a friend programs can be integrated on your web page in very little time. The process is usually the same for most services, you must add some code to your website. The more advanced services offer a members area where you can enter your details for your form.

Purchasing a tell a friend script is like anything else, you must do some research. Prices can vary from a low monthly fee to one time payment options that can cost over $200.00 Comparison shopping is a good idea when purchasing a tell a friend service. You must find a service that provides the features you need.

Automation is another thing to take into consideration. Over the past year, tell a friend scripts are now integrating address book importers. How can such technology benefit you? Well, it allows your visitors to easily import all their web mail contacts. Here’s how it works. Your visitor arrives on your page, and decides to invite friends. He simply enters his email address and password, and automatically import his contacts from any major web mail provider such as Yahoo, Hotmail, and even Gmail.

Having the ability to integrate your favorite auto responder into your tell a friend script can be worthwhile. As a result, your visitors could invite friends and also join your newsletter all at the same time.

Avoid services that do not boldly advertise their refund policy. Think about it this way, if a company truly believes in their product, they will offer some sort refund guarantee. Finally, good old customer service is still important. You want a company that will respond to your questions in a timely manner.

Have you ever wanted to buy a product online but chose not to do it because shipping charges were extravagant? Many shoppers tend to find this news startling and with the price of nearly everything going up, the shipping costs for purchasing products online will also increase. This leaves many online shoppers frustrated and looking for ways to get free shipping service.

Here is an example of issues you can run into when shopping online versus the local shop. Say you want to buy a crib for your newborn baby. You find the one you want in the store for $150 without tax.. However, you decide to check online for a lower price. You find it at another store for $125. Shipping costs with tax included raise the price to $155. Shipping is going to take up to 2 weeks. Are you going to buy it online? Not likely. Now, what if you could purchase that crib and have free shipping? Would you buy it? If you had the time to waste, the chances are good that you wouldn’t use the online service.

Since this is a reality for many online retailers, you can find numerous coupons offering free shipping service through the World Wide Web. Some will offer you the deal of free shipping after you make a purchase over a certain dollar. Others will just offer free shipping service, regardless. For a consumer who is looking to save money during these troubled times, this is a wonderful opportunity.

One such store offering free shipping service is JcPenney. This store has been in business since the very early 1900s. It began as a single store but grew into the retail store customers see today. Not only are there clothes to get but many households items including baby furniture and kitchen appliances.

JcPenney executives decided that the best way to combat the high price of shipping was to build plenty of warehouses throughout the United States. They were able to lower shipping costs and give consumers more for their money. Besides, the lower the shipping, the more you will buy right?

If you are looking to save money, find these free shipping promotional coupons and put them to good use. You can do a search on Yahoo or Google for them. If you want to shop online and save money at the same time, this is the best way to do it including at JcPenney.

Why should you take advantage of free shipping. When you purchase a product online, your costs are because of two things. For starters, how big and heavy is your purchase? If you are buying a bed, chances are you’ll pay quite a bit of money. Secondly, are you shipping the product overnight delivery or standard mail. How you ship and how heavy it is can be a big difference in price.

If you are ready to shop online at JcPenney, then make sure you find a website that hosts in date codes and coupons. Some websites accidentally leave on the older codes that no longer work. Keep your eyes out for that minor problem.

There are so many free tools and software programs for SEO enthusiasts that it almost becomes overwhelming and difficult to grasp the “right” tools to use in your SEO efforts. Everyone has their own personal preferences which makes this predicament even more perplexing.

Well enough about me and my love of words; let’s get down to business: What are some of the best free SEO tools on the web?

Cool Tools

Google Keyword Research Tool: When this free tool came out the other week we all had a little dance party in the office we were so excited! Well to be honest? there wasn’t any dancing involved but it sure did give us a reason to celebrate :)

This tool is amazing! Simply type in your keyword and you can see a long list of related keywords with approximate search volumes for those keywords as well! You can even customize the results with this tool: everything from the location (country) of your keyword results to finding out which month had the highest search volumes. For more information on how to use this keyword research tool check out this great article.

This free keyword research tool immediately replaced my other keyword research tools by Wordze and SEO Book after just one test use: that’s how powerful it is. In short, the tool rocks and it instantly makes keyword research way easier and much more efficient!

HTML Playground: This tool is great for those that have limited HTML knowledge or just aren’t sure how to apply the right formatting in an easy and efficient manner. Well this free tool takes all the “hard work” out of HTML coding for you. It has a list of all the most popular tags; simply click on the tag, customize the parameters and colours you desire and the HTML code is ready to go! It even shows you a preview of what your text or image will look like once uploaded! This tool is simply vital for any HTML rookie or beginner.

Firefox Extensions

There are hundreds of free Firefox extensions readily available at Firefox Add-ons. They have tools and add-ons for just about everything! My favourite Firefox add-ons for SEO are:

SEOpen: This add-on lets you place a toolbar in Firefox to quickly analyze everything from the number of Yahoo! Backlinks to verifying whether the PR of a site is legitimate or not; and that’s just the beginning. I think of it as in all-in-one SEO resource that is absolutely mandatory!

SearchStatus: This nifty little add-on simply lets you display the Google PageRank, Alexa rank and Compete ranking anywhere on your browser. It also allows you to highlight nofollow links and comes equipped with a fast keyword density analyzer. Pretty sweeeeeet!

SeoQuake: This tool is one of the most advanced Firefox add-ons for SEO. Yet it’s perfect for both beginners and advanced users. Basically, SeoQuake displays the parameters for search results and even includes the findings into the search engine result pages ‘SERPs’ for the most popular search engines. You can then set these parameters to display by ascending or descending order; so you can search for any keyword in Google or Yahoo! and then set the order to show the highest PR’s, or the most Yahoo! backlinks, or by whatever parameter(s) you are most interested in.

And now, my favourite Firefox add-on is…(insert drum roll)… Speed Dial!

This add-on lets you visually display your most used websites so you can access them instantly! Forget about using bookmarks ever again! Simply open up the add-on and enter the number of columns and rows to determine the amount of sites displayed in your speed dial. To enter in the sites simply click on the boxes and type in the URL’s.

When you want to access your favourite sites simply hold CTRL and press the number of the site (number set in speed dial options) to open it up in a new tab or window. Or you can press the speed dial button which displays all your sites in one window and then you can just click on the site you want to open. Once you get the hang of this add-on you can instantly access your favourite site(s) with just a couple of clicks: saving you both time and effort! It’s a win-win situation like no other!

These cool tools and Firefox extensions are really useful and can dramatically improve your SEO efforts while simultaneously saving you time and improving your efficiency. Be sure to check them out and feel free to share your own favourite Firefox extensions!

To grow your on-line business, it is essential that you get people to come to your Web site and look around. This concept is known as generating traffic.

With the number of existing Web sites in the billions and the growing daily, it can be extremely difficult for a small or new site to get noticed in the vastness of cyberspace. It is not as though you can simply build it and they will come. Getting steady traffic to a site takes time and effort. The more traffic a site receives, the easier it becomes for others seekers to find it.

Here is how it works: most people surf the Web for information or products using search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN. Many people enter general terms into the search box (for example, dogs, music or cars), and the search engines deliver a listing of sites containing those terms.
