Are you getting a lot of traffic to your site but just not getting the conversions you are looking for? You probably know how frustrating it can be to see that you are getting tons of visitors and having nothing to show for it. So how can you turn the simply interested visitors into paying customers? If you are ready to maximize your profits from your website then here are four proven principles for getting conversions.
To begin with, make sure that you are very specific in what you offer to people. It should also correspond to the advertisement, which is attracting audience to your website. What you need to do is to provide people with what they expect when visiting your site.
To illustrate, your internet site may be about teaching people to cook Italian dishes, and yet your advertisement is for how to cook. It is not going to work this way, as you will be attracting people willing to find some info on cooking French or Spanish dishes, but not Italian. As a result you will get no sales, because your traffic wasnt targeted. However, you will be getting sales if you will make you offer more specific and your audience more targeted.
The second principle is having a clear path for your visitors to follow when they come to your page. In other words, if you have an invitation to sign your guest book, one to post on your forum, one to take a survey, and one to fill in their name and email to receive a free report, then they are likely to do none of the above.
People become overwhelmed by too many choices and usually end up doing nothing. It is best to have a chain of offers that lead someone from receiving something free, to buying something that can make them a lot of money.
The third thing to remember is that you have to tell customers what is in it for them. No one is going to come to your site because they want to support your cause or buy your product. They are going to come there because they are expecting to get something of value.
When it comes to that, you have to be very clear about what people are going to get from giving you their information or purchasing your product. Simply telling them about your offer is not enough, instead sell them on the benefit.
Finally, make sure you build relationships with your clients. Marketing is all about relationships and trust. If you dont expect a sale right away, if you care about people and show it to them, you will sooner or later be rewarded for your work and patience by your growing number of loyal customers, conversions and profits.
